OS : CONFESSION OF LOVE
"Kushi". Kushi looked up to check who called her. She was surprised to see the whole of her family and Raizada's were staring at her. She asked "what?" in a confused tone. Anjali started to speak in a teasing tone "kushiji, in what world are you living? I know. I know about whom you are thinking?" Kushi made a face and bit her lower lip.
Anjali continued "come on,kushiji. It happens. After all you are getting married." she giggled. Kushi looked at her in disbelief. Anjali, realizing the situation, said "sorry,sorry. Actually we were saying that'" Anjali continued talking. But not even single word had reached kushi's mind. She didn't even bother to look at her. She has not come here for this. She has come here to see him.
Suddenly everybody started to laugh. Kushi felt lavanya's grip getting tighten on her shoulder. She turned to see her friend smiling at her and she heard her saying "iam so happy for you Kushi." She replied her with a fake smile. She realized that everyone was happy on the decision she took. Does it matter to her anymore? No. what matters to her is will be his reaction?
Once again, she looked upstairs. She remembered him saying "you and your things don't mean anything to me." Kushi closed her eyes. Those words were really harsh. It hurted very much. It pushed her to say yes to the marriage. Though she didn't want to see him, some questions were haunting her and only he knows the answer. She wanted to see him for one last time.
He has not yet come down. What must have been wrong with him? how come lord governor can come late? Yesterday night, after getting engaged, she decided to do one more thing. To hurt him back. To tell him that she going to get married in front of his face. But to be honest, hurting him was not her intention.
She has come here to seek answer for her question. Does he feels the same way she feels for him? does he really like her? One slightest trace of hurt on his face will be more than enough for her to spend her entire life thinking that he too loved her. She will come to know about that in short time. Today he is very late.
After deciding to meet him for one last time, she had no option except to bring her whole family here. She wanted to convey the news. But if she comes alone, then he may react to her like yesterday. He may even throw her out without listening to her.
She thought that it is better to meet in front of people, so that his reaction will be limited. She felt that every cell on her body got tensed, when she heard his footsteps. She sighed. Arnav, who was dressed in his formal suit, came towards them. Kushi tried to hide her tension.
Anjali said "chotey, do you know the matter?" Arnav replied with tone which showed that he was not at all interested "what is it, di?" Lavanya, unable to control her excitement, walked towards him and said "chamkeli is getting married!" Kushi felt that she will die out of pressure. Then realizing that he was staring at her, she gathered all her courage to look up at him. but it took time.
Arnav was completely in shock when he came to know about her marriage. He looked at her. She was standing as if somebody is accusing her for the mistake she had done. After seeing her reaction, he came back to his senses. He felt happy that Kushi didn't notice his awkward reaction. Then he came back to his ownself, the very own ASR. Of course he didn't want her to see his reaction. He wanted her to hate him. he likes it more, when she hates him.
When Kushi looked up at him, he was looking at her. La had her hand on his shoulder. He looked at her with a small trace of smile on his lips and said "congratulations."Kushi felt that her whole world was shaking with his one word. How could he do that? He loved me, isn't it? Now? His look said her that 'I know why you are doing it. Anyway I don't care about it.'
She, then, noticed his wicked smile. Wait. Why he is smiling as if he achieved what he wanted? May be he has achieved what he wanted. May be he wanted me to hate him. she was immersed in ocean of thoughts, when someone shook her by shoulders. She looked up to see la.
Lavanya asked "chamkeli, what happened? Why are you crying?" Kushi caressed her cheeks with her shaky fingers to feel her tears. She looked at her tears and then hugged la and cried. Anjali and payal came running towards her. Everyone tried to comfort her and asked her what was the reason for her tears. All that she could managed to say was "we should leave, jiji." She turned to walk towards the door.
At first, Arnav thought that she was crying because of his reaction. Then he realized there was something more. "Kushi" Kushi froze at hearing his voice. His tone and the way he pronounced her name made to her turn, although she wanted to run away from there. He was hurt, worried, concerned, and sad. He looked at her in the same way she wanted him to do a few minutes before.
He asked "are they forcing you to get married?" how does he came to know about that. Kushi cursed herself for letting him to know that she was unhappy. She has not come here for that. She wanted to protest saying that she was more than happy. But his concerned face stopped her. On seeing her reaction, his hurt was replaced by sudden anger.
He turned to her, so-called family, and asked "what the hell are you doing? How can you even think of forcing Kushi like this?" his eyes were burning with anger. Buaji replied "we are doing it only for her good."
He shouted "non-sense. You cannot force her. I will never let you do that." Buaji replied angrily "who are you to say that?" Arnav replied in his usual tone "iam Arnav singh raizada. You cannot force any girl to marry against her wishes. And you cannot even think of that when she is Arnav singh raizada's employee."
Buaji, keeping her palm on her forehead, said "arrey nandi kishore, see what have you done Kushi? I think this your way of showing gratitude to the family which has done a lot to you. Think of what they have done to you for past ten years. I arranged for this thinking that it will reduce your bauji's burden."
Arnav really got irritated by her words. Arnav replied "what the hell are you talking? If you are considering Kushi as a burden, then forgot her. We will take care of her. And for those damn ten years, What do you want? a pay-cheque?" Kushi couldnot able to take this. She shouted "stop it."
Kushi went near Arnav and asked "how dare you could talk to my family like this? They are my family. Your whole wealth will not be equal to the love they poured on me. There are many more important things in life than your money."
Arnav was shocked to hear Kushi. La said "chamkeli, ASR was just trying to help you." Kushi looked at Arnav and said "help me?" and then looking back at la she continued "you know what, lavanyaji? He is reason for all this." Arnav said "what the..?"
Kushi replied turning to Arnav " yes, you are my problem. Why are you behaving like this? Iam just your employee. That too ex-employee. Why do you care for me? What is your problem, when my family forces me to marry someone?" she tried controlled herself by whipping her tears. But that was of no use. Arnav was still in the state of shock.
She continued "you are not supposed to be like this? You have to shout at me' you must scold me, hurt me. But what happened to you? Why did you help me when I was in trouble? Why did you lent your shoulders when I badly needed them to cry? Why did you took care of me so much? Why did you tried to make me happy when I was sad? Why did you have changed so much for last few weeks?"
His change of behavior for last few weeks didn't hurt her. Infact, she loved it. But it was his behavior, for past two days, which had hurt her the most. but she didn't had the courage to say it. She suddenly realized where it is all going. She cannot do it, that too in front of both families. She composed herself. She wanted to make the situation better.
She said "Shyamji is very good human being. From my childhood, it was my dream to marry a person like him. I know marrying him is the best thing for my future. And iam very happy.." her voice became shaky when she uttered the last sentence. Once again unable to control herself, she started to cry.
She said "Why the hell this is happening to me? I have to be happy. But look at me. all this is because of you. Where ever I go, what ever I see, why I remember only your face? why I cant stop myself from thinking about you? Why my heart beats faster when you are near me?"
Anjali demanded "chotey, what is happening here?" he replied "don't ask me, di. I don't even know about what she is talking." This made Kushi angry. Doesn't he know that about what she was talking? Or he just pretending that he don't know anything.
Kushi went near to him and asked "you don't know anything? After what all happened yesterday, how can you say that?" she cried saying "you don't know anything? Don't you know that what iam talking about? Don't you know the reason why I am crying? Don't you know the reason why I allowed you to do all you wanted?" with more stress she said "Don't you know that I really love you?"
For the first time seeing a reaction on his expressionless face, Kushi tried to recollect what she has just said. Then realizing her mistake, she closed her mouth with her palms and then looking up she whispered "array, devi maiya! What I have just told?"
