Part 16

A royal accident…

[Omegas enters in a room where his elder brother Tardus was waiting for him. Omegas never shared anything with Tardus nor did Tardus. Tardus was 8 yrs older than Omegas which often created a rift between them. Omegas cared for him but never showed it… Omegas was that kind of person who never let anyone close to him for once he let Cornelia to come and now he is in pain.. that's why Omegas decided that he will never let anyone interfere in his life.. As far as Tardus was concerned, Omegas knew that Tardus only cared for his duty and if he had called him …then it surely have been for a purpose]

Omegas: Tumne mujhe bulvaya tha …Tardus???

Tardus: Haan!! Aao mere bhaai… Kitne dino se tumse thik se bhet nahin huyi thi!!!

Omegas: Saaf saaf bolo!! Kya kaam hai??

Tardus: Kya main tumse aise hi nahin mil sakta hoon?? Tum mere bhaai ho!!

Omegas: Mil sakte ho!! Parantu.. tumhaare iraadon par mujhe sadaiv sandeh rehta hai… Ab bataao kya karya tha tumhe mujhse?

Tardus: Mujhe nahin… Samrat Seleucus ko hai..

Omegas: Samrat ko?? Mujhse?? Kya??

Tardus: Dekho!!! Tum Raajkumaari ke bachpan ke mitra ho.. unhe bhali bhaanti jaante ho.. aur ve tumhaari baat sadaiv maanti hain…

Omegas: Raajkumaari meri keval sunti hain… Karti ve wahi hain jo unke jee main aata hai…

Tardus: Vo tumhaari baat sunti hain..yahi apne aap mein ek badi uplabdhi hai…

[Tardus was just trying to butter Omegas and make him sure that Omegas can do the job]

Omegas: Ab agar tumne mujhe ye nahin bataya ki mujhe karna kya hai..to main sach mein yahan se chala jaaunga… aur tum ginte reh jaana …apni uplabdhi!!

Tardus: [taking a long breath as he didn't know how Omegas will react to it] Tumhe raajkumaari ko Magadh Samrat Chandragupta Maurya se vivaah karne ke liye manana hai!!!

Omegas: Kya??? Kab ?? kaise?? Kyon?? Kahaan??? Kaun??? Sandrocottos???

[It felt like a thousand kilo weight has just hit Omegas and a thousand questions on Tardus]

Tardus: pehle to tum shaant ho jaao!!! Aur meri baat dhyaan se suno!!

Omegas: Kya "dhyaan se suno"??? Mujhe toh vishwaas nahin ho raha hai ki… Jo insaan bhartiyon se itni ghrina karte hain vo ek bhartiya ke haath mein apni putri kaise saup sakte hain??

Tardus: Ye sab tumhe jaanne ki aavashyakta nahin… Vo jo kuch bhi kar rahein hain,,, Raajkumaari ke kehne par kar rahein hain…

Omegas: Raajkumaari ke kehne par??

Tardus: Haan!!! Raajkumaari ne hi kaha tha na ki ve sandhi ki saari shartein sweekar kar lein….Toh yah unki teesri shart!! Unhe raajkumaari Cornelia ka haath vivaah mein chahiye!

[Obviously, Tardus lied… As he didn't had any other idea,, He couldn't reveal the real plan to him as Seleucus forbid him to do that… even to Cornelia… he wanted to tell her the whole plan after the marriage as he feared whether on listening the plan… she'll marry CGM or not.. Moreover she could have told the plan to his enemies to ignore this marriage… But once she gets married,,, she won't have any other option as she couldn't go against her father]

Omegas: Main ye nahin kar sakta..

[True!! How could he?? How could he convince the girl he loved to marry the man he hated? But it seemed he had no choice]

Tardus: Ye vivaah toh hona hi hai.. kyonki humaare yahan agar ek baar pita ne apni putri ke liye var chun liya to us vivaah ko koi nahin rok sakta… Parantu.. Samrat nahin chahte ki raajkumaari ke saath kisi bhi tarah ki zor-zabardasti ki jaaye!! Isliye… jaao aur unhe manaao!!

[Omegas stood silenced.. The thought that Cornelia has started liking CGM almost burnt his heart.. what would happen if she marries CGM?? After a few moments.. he left the place with an uneasiness, both in his steps and mind]

Soon he reaches Cornelia's room but neither found her nor Agatha.. so after much enquiry he got to know that Cornelia and Agatha were present in the place where arms and swords were made…

Omegas [controlling his emotions and trying to act normal]: Raajkumaari?? Aap yahaan kya kar rahi hain??

Cornelia: Oh !! Omegas!! Aa gaye tum??? Jaldi aao mere saath… mujhe tumhe kuch dikhaana hai..[holding his hand ,she took her near a hut…]

Omegas: aap mujhe bataaengi?? Ye kya ho raha hai???

Cornelia: Dhairya rakho… Mitra!! [She went into the hut and came out of it with a sword… A sword that Omegas had never seen in his life… It was not an ordinary sword… The portion from where it is held was coated with pure Gold… Moreover there were dual blades of the sword which was yet another unique feature of that marvelous sword.. the light reflecting from its blades was almost blinding his eyes..]

Omegas: Ye kya hai???

Cornelia: lakdi ka ghoda!!! Moorkh!! Dikhta nahin talwaar hai!!! Kaisi hai??

Omegas: Adbhut!!! Ye kiski hai??

Cornelia: Abhi ke liye meri bol sakte ho!!! Aisi talwaar maine khaas kehkar apne liye banvaayi hai… bahut dino se banvaa rahi thi… parantu man ko bha jaane wala parinaam nahin mil raha tha… aaj jaakar bilkul satik bana hai… Achcha hai na??

Omegas: Haan!! Par kiske kiye hai??

Cornelia: Mujhe nahin pata!!! Agar kisi din laga ki iss talwaar ke yogya koi hai… use de doongi… Waise tum mujhe kyon doondh rahe the??

[taking Cornelia and Agatha to a silent place under a tree]

Omegas: Vo raajkumaari ji…..

Cornelia: Nihsankoch hokar kaho mitra!!

Omegas: [closing his eyes and taking a deep breath] Maharaj aapka vivaah Sandrcottos se karaana chahte hain…

[For few moments both Cornelia and Agatha couldn't speak a word.. as they didn't know how to react on this!!!]

Cornelia: Uphaas karne ke liye aaj ka hi din mila tha??

[Giving an angry look, Cornelia turns to leave that place with Agatha]

Omegas: Main uphaas nahin kar raha… ya toh aap Sandrocottos se vivaah karein ya phir Cassender ko apne aap ko saup dein!!

Cornelia:[almost shouting] Tum kya bole jaa rahe ho!!! Thoda sa bhi ehsaas hai is baat ka??? Pitaji mere saath aisa nahin kar sakte!!

Omegas: Ye maharaj nahin balki….

Cornelia: Balki kya??? Kya??? Bolo!!!!!

[Omegas stops… he didn't think that telling Cornelia about CGM's third clause was a good idea… as after listening that she would hate CGM whom she will have to marry somehow… Being a lover it would benefit him for sure but being her best friend, it would cause a pain and suffering of a lifetime for her which he couldn't tolerate so he lied to her telling her about the Cassender's possible invasion]

Omegas: Raajkumaari ji… Cassender jald hi yahaan aayega!! Aur vo aapse vivaah ke prastav rakhega!! Agar usse bachna hai to Sandrocottos se vivaah karna hoga aapko…

Cornelia: main kuch samjhi nahin…

Omegas: Maharaj ne Sandrocottos ke saamne aapke vivaah ka prastav rakh diya hai… agar ab aap mana karti hain to sambhav hai ki sandrocottos apna hume dene waala sahyog dena band kar dein… tab aapko Cassender se vivaah karna hi hoga,,, wahaan aapko naahi samman milega naahi Greece ko suraksha!!parantu..

Cornelia: Sandro se vivaah karne par Greece ko Cassender se suraksha milegi… Aur mujhe samman???

Omegas: haan!!

Cornelia: Mujhe bharat mein samman kabhi nahin mil sakta… wahaan ki praja mujhe kabhi sweekaar nahin karegi… Main ye nahin kar sakti..

Omegas: Aapke paas koi dusra vikalp nahin…

Cornelia: Agar shaadi ki ek raat pehle khud Sandro vivaah se mana kar de toh??

Omegas: Vo aisa kyon karenge!???

Cornelia:[giving an evil smile] Jaakar pitaji ko keh do ki Hum vivaah karne ke liye taiyaar hain!!!

Agatha: Helen???

Omegas: Jo agyaa!!

[Omegas leaves the place….]

[Meanwhile in CGM's room, he receives a letter in which the marriage proposal of Seleucus' Daughter Cornelia was enclosed.. After reading that letter, CGM was confused about what he should do now when Acharya Chanakya reaches there…]

CGM: Acharya…. Ye dekhiye!! Seleucus ne kya shart rakhi hai??

Chanakya [after reading the letter]: Hmm…. Toh ye shart hai seleucus ki???

CGM: Mujhe samajh nahin aa raha hai acharya!! MaIn kya karoon?

Chanakya: Ye vivaah kar lo!!

CGM: kYa???? Par Kyon??

Chanakya: Kyonki ye raajneeti hai… aur aisa pehli baar to nahin hoga ki rajya ki sandhi hetu kisi ne kisi se vivaah kiya ho!!! Tumne bhi kiya hai!!

CGM: Haan parantu…. Ye Yavan hain!! Inse aise vaivaahic rishtein to kisi ne nahin banaye honge!!

Chanakya: Is duniya mein har ghatna pehli baar kabhi na kabhi to hoti hi hai,,,, Hai na?? Mera yahi sujhaav hoga ki Is vivaah ke liye maan jaao… Isse tumhaara akhand bharat ka swapn pura ho jaayega!! Aur ye yudhdha shaayad tumhaare raajkaal ka antim yudhdha sidhdh ho!!! Asha hai kit um meri baat samajh rahe ho!!..

CGM: Ji Acharya!! [bows his head, does the namaskaar and went out of the room]

[CGM was sad in his heart…. He himself didn't know the reason… What could have been the probable reasons? He didn't want to marry anyone else now as he still loved Durdhara, But if it was so then why would he have married Kalyani? The other probable reason could be that he was scared of Bindu's reaction to it.. One more reason could be that he didn't want to marry Cornelia but someone elese… Who could it be??? Helen??? God knows….
