Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, the beloved daily soap, has triumphantly returned to Indian television with its eagerly awaited second season, 25 years after its initial debut. Since its premiere on July 29, the show has captivated audiences with the continuation of its iconic story. The new season features the return of beloved actors Smriti Irani and Amar Upadhyay, who reprise their roles as Tulsi and Mihir. In addition, Lucky Mehta has joined the cast, reportedly playing the sister of Noina in the show.

She mentioned that her late father had always dreamed of her working with Ektaa Kapoor, the mastermind behind the legendary series. She shared her gratitude and emotional connection to this opportunity, stating, "As a believer, I always felt that when the right time came, I would never let go of that opportunity, because there's such an emotional connection for me. Today, even though my dad is no longer with me, I know he's watching over and blessing me from above. I feel truly fortunate that I could fulfill his dream and make him proud."

Lucky on choosing Kyunki

Lucky also revealed that after signing on to Kyunki 2, she was offered another television project. Despite this, she chose to honor her commitment to the iconic franchise, emphasizing its importance in her career. She said, "It's true that when I signed this show, I also got a call for another one. But I deeply value my work and commitments. Being part of this cult franchise is a blessing in itself."

Current storyline of the show

The current storyline of the show centers around Pari, Tulsi's daughter, who has ignited a family crisis by leveling false accusations against her in-laws. Pari's manipulative tactics have extended to Tulsi and Mihir, as she plots to divorce and remarry her boyfriend. Meanwhile, Nandini, distressed by Mihir's actions, made the difficult decision to leave India and return to her children. However, Mihir orchestrated a surprise reunion, bringing Karan and the children back to India, creating a complex interplay of emotions and relationships. Mihir recently made a surprising decision, transferring the ownership of his business to Hemant and appointing him as the head of operations.
