Maan makes a himself a big drink and settles down to stare at the empty vault making his mind learn a lesson about trusting innocent looking girls and making his surface harder.

After half an hour, the lull in his room is broken when she happily whirls in, unaware of his presence in a tangle of bags and pretty floating frock.

But her smiles fades away and most of her bags fall on the ground as soon as she as she witnesses him staring at the empty vault; his expression same as when he asked ...whats his name?

She assumes that he is mad about taking all the money she quickly walks over to the vault and empties her purse inside it silently..she had only used less than half of the money.

Her throat becomes dry as she glances at his grave expression from the corner of her eyes. She can't figure out if he is angry at her or frustrated in general or feeling ill. She summons all her energies and finds all her courage to utter a single word.

G-D...d... Dinner?

She asks in a very tentative voice, ready to dash into the bathroom. if he so much as twitches.

He doesn't reply to her rather turns around and walks out of the room banging the door shut so hard that it almost fell of its hooks.

She remain standing their, frozen at her place and slightly shaking, convinced that he is indeed angry and it is her he is angry at

She shivers recalling last time he was angry...and today too, it was her fault..and he looked furious.

She stands undecided for a while, wondering what should she do now; should she order dinner or should she pretend everything is fine or should she sleep. She is in dilemma..if she will do any of it and if he won't like her doing that then...then what will happen. She doesn't want to worsen the matter or make him angrier. She is utterly confused.

After thinking for a while she decides to face the situation head on rather escaping like a coward. She decides she would face him no matter what happens.

With her renewed determination, she bunches her fist and puts her shopping away and orders dinner for two, switching on the TV to the channel he generally prefers to watch and waits for him to come back.

An hour passes and he comes back cooled down, in much more control of all the feelings rioting inside him. He still doesn't know whether he was relived or angrier when she had walked in. He has come back hoping she is asleep so he can think some more.

But it comes across as a mild shock to him seeing her waiting for him .Again the turmoil inside him starts, he again doesn't know what he is feeling... it's like role reversal some time ago he had been waiting up with dread and now she is.

He feels satisfaction annoyance, anger and a twinge of happiness all rolled into one; and since it is all rolled together he can't make out any of it. Emotions were new to him and so many of them together were completely alien.

He enters the room and sits in front of her silently.

She looks at him and smiles, and starts serving him the dinner.

M-you don't leave this room again.

He says coldly and accepts the plate.

Her smile falters and then vanishes.

G-I needed clothes.

She looks down and says in her low and uncertain tone.

G-emm...and u were so busy... i didn't think of bothering you with... and .. and.. I didn't mean to make u angry.. You arnt still angry are you?

She asks him in her uncertain tone, pursing her lips and quickly adds.

G-: please I mean... just one nightie!! What was i suppose to do? Besides I thought you wouldn't like to shop with me so... I just... I didn't spend much.. I really didn't...I just thought it is not safe to leave all the money in the empty room so I took it all with me...I am sorry I should have...

She lowers her lashes in an apologizing manner

G-should have done something else?

she says wondering what differently she could have done.

M-Should have informed

She nods her head slightly.

He is silent again.

M-you don't leave this room again... without telling me first.

Maan says after a while. He is feeling quite an idiot for not buying her clothes.. He saw her in the same nightie day and night and just didn't think about it.

She slowly moves her hand forward and hands over a note to him

G-i wrote this for you...it's an apology note

She says with her childlike innocence

Maan takes the note and takes a look at it. The note has a girlie and childish look to it drawn with creepers smileys etc
