Khushi's demand was not wrong, maybe she didn't explain it right to him, he still seems pretty oblivious as to 'why' she wanted him to lead a 9-5 work life and spend the rest of his time with Khushi. Being an extrovert, or just someone who can emote slightly better, i expected her to put her entire point in front of him. Also, it seemed from her side that she just completely stopped trying, as if 'that's it, my pleads are going to deaf ears so I just don't give a damn anymore'. Arnav wasn't wrong either, he wanted Khushi to understand his passion for his work, and i'm sure she does, but hey we're all human! We are greedy people, our needs are endless, she feels they need to spend more time together, so she put down her wants. Simple as that. Khushi conveyed it to him in the hope that he would give it a thought, but he just thought she doesn't understand him, his love for his work. And so he just completely blocks himself out, that's not something which goes down too well with me. She's a woman for god's sake, grr she's your wife - TREAT HER LIKE ONE! At least tell her what you feel, she deserves to know that much! This is what scares me about relationships and getting too close with someone. They say there's so much love, trust, honesty, communication between them but when it comes to misunderstandings, clash of opinions, tiffs etc. their 'strong relationship' goes for a walk along a never-ending beach. My rant was long, and stupid. But meh, it got me really thinking, so thank you for that!

I love how you really went into this from both sides and how beautifully you explained it dear! And I just absolutely loved your rant so don't call it stupid! I tell you why. Look, normally when you are into a relationship, a married one at that, the romance turns to understanding. The relationship deepens. You fight over stupid things but it means you are putting your needs forth and making yourself heard.

This relationship in particular has been different. It's been an intense and passionate romance. They are not out of that phase yet. There are still less words to express feelings. reality has not sank in. They are still in their fairytale world. Finally when real life issues seep in, because they are still in their dream world, they are just not able to handle these things practically. He doesnt realize that he needs to understand her need for being with him more. It's not like before marriage where he would go out of his way to stay up all nights just to be with her. But she needs attention. He hasn't totally grasped that yet so he is baffled at her demand. And she thinks he is changed because he is not understanding a simple request where he did so much more than that earlier.

The factor here is that they have been so blindly in love with each other, and have overlooked each other's shortcomings so much, that they expect every single issue to just bypass them smoothly. And at the first sight of conflict, they both sulk. Ego takes on, morever, hurt overpowers them. How in the world can the other NOT understand them. It's a hard concept to digest in the first instance. Unless it starts small. In this case it started out pretty big. And thus, leading to devastation and separation. Both just went into their shells.

THIS is incomplete, there's still so many questions in my mind. Who was the child Khushi picked up in her arms? her daughter? Why is she here? Does she know Arnav is here?

So I had this really beautiful song to share with you, as I was reading this OS it really reminded me of that song but now i'm thinking why not blackmail you to post up a second part and then i'll share the song with you. It's part qawali, and very beautiful overall i'm sure you'll love it.

BTW I love the songs you posted, the first qawali song and 'Tum Jo Aaye' were my favourites, lol I see myself singing and dancing away to these songs atleast for the rest of the week. They're super addictive !

It was her own Masi's daughter's wedding yet Khushi felt least interested. The Masi she loved to death, the cousin she was the closest to, they had travelled all the way from London for this wedding, yet Khushi was just in no mood. But she had to be there. She had been planning this much awaited wedding and making all arrangements for it for the last whole year. Weddings used to be her favorite celebrations. She looked forward to them and calculated who would get married next so she could attend and get immersed in one. The holy union of two souls fascinated her. The idea of marriage enchanted her. She always got dreamy and emotional, especially at the I Do's. But that was then! She knew better now. She knew fairytales always ended after marriage. She pondered all of that as she had driven to the valley and listened to her favorite tunes in her car.

She had made her favorite pit stop at the mountain peak, to look down at the valley, and also to take a fresh deep breath, before she got engulfed in the hectic 4 days ahead.

She had been there many times. Often with Arnav! But this was the first time she was coming here after the separation. She knew it was going to ache in places unimaginable, but she just had to go there. She had to feel him. She had longed for him and missed him every waking moment, and every day she did things that left his fragrance in her heart, his presence in her mind. She was just not ready to let go. Every time her dad had tried, she had gotten even more pulled into his thoughts. She had abandoned him but he was always around in her existence. She felt him in every breath.

She pressed the random button on her IPOD as she parked her car and LeAnn's voice resonated in her thoughts making her relive some fond memories. Arnav hated the song. He often scolded her sweetly, "Why do you obsess so much over this song? Where do you think I am going to leave you and go?"

"It's not that you would leave me, but what if something unknown splits us? What will I do then? I love you so much that this is the worst fear of my life." Khushi had always replied.

"You're just being silly. We are never going to be brought apart. Just relax and enjoy the today of life rather than worrying about tomorrow." Arnav often shared his wisdom.

The song continued playing. As she reached the peak and beheld the magnificence, she dropped on her knees, let herself go, and cried as loudly as she could. The sound of her tears echoed in the far away horizons. The birds cried with her. The mountains mourned with her. The nature shared her pain.

She reached, greeted everyone, especially played with her little niece who she saw after a whole year, and immediately occupied herself in the wedding preparations. She loved this place, then why was it that today it felt so painful to be there? She brushed off her thoughts and kept herself engaged so she didn't have to keep thinking about him. She laughed, sang, danced with all, and took the place by storm. Unaware of her state of mind, everyone had heaved a sigh of relief now that she was there. It was time to get the party started. The life of the party had arrived.

Tonight was the Sangeet night. Arnav went out for a stroll without realizing Khushi was setting the stage with the decorators and arranging last minute things for the function that was to start in the next two hours. He was spellbound by how beautiful it looked.

"By now she must've forgotten me and moved on in life. I should not interfere. May be I will leave from here by tomorrow morning. But tonight, I shall stay away." Arnav thought to himself as insecurities trickled in. He sat on the stairs a little farther away from two women who were sitting there admiring the view and just chatting. He couldn't help but overhear.

"Look at Khushi marching away." Reva said.

"She used to. Now she is only doing it to keep away from pain." Reva exhaled.

"How do you know he hasn't moved on already?" Mira ignorantly asked.

"Arnav is that you?" Reva asked shockingly.

The function started. Arnav sat really far away so Khushi wouldn't see him. She was beautifully dressed and looked even more breath-taking in the night lights under the open sky. She hosted the Sangeet party and everyone had loads of fun. At everyone's insistence, she even danced to a song. Most didn't realize but Arnav saw through her pain as she danced away and felt his heart vibrate in deep agony at her heartache.
