"Geet...Geet...Geet wake up...you are going to be late..." She opens up her eyes to see her friend looking at her. She turns her face sideways to sleep some more...
"Pari let me sleep na.."
Pari: Geet you are going to be late for rehearsals...you do know you have show tonight...
Geet: What time is it?
Pari: It is 11...
Geet (right away sits up..) What? oh my god...why couldn't you wake me up before?
Pari: I did try..now don't put this on me..hurry up and get ready because of you I will be late as well...
Geet (kisses her cheek) you are the best...(she quickly runs off to the bathroom to get ready...after an hour later both Pari and Geet left the house to rehearse...) Pari what time would your rehearsal finish?
Pari: umm i don't know yet..but how about we both meet around 4 no matter what at our cafe?
Geet: hmm okay...I will call you when I am there...
Pari: okay...then bye...(Pari went the opposite way and Geet went the opposite way...they both have been best friends for 5 years and already they were inseparable..no matter where the other one has to go they always leave together even if their destinations are on opposite sides...)
Geet waited in the cafe for Pari to show up. It was 4:30 and yet she was still not here nor was she picking up her phone call. The rehearsal was very long and tiring...her feet were killing her and couldn't wait to go home to take a hot shower before heading out again for her show tonight. "Where is she? Maybe she is hanging out with her boyfriend...ugh how many times do I have to tell her that if you are going to do so then call me to let me know.." She was about to get up "no I should wait another 10 minutes and see if she shows up...if she doesn't then I will be so mad at her and this time I will not forgive her very easily..." Geet was busy in her thoughts and didn't realize it when someone sat down on her table. She looks ahead and sees a guy sitting there very causally sipping his coffee while reading a newspaper...
Geet (gets mad): Excuse me mister but this seat is taken...(she waits for him to reply back but he didn't...she even waived her hand in front of him but still he didn't look up..."maybe he didn't hear me...") Excuse me hello...(she slightly pokes him on his shoulder...she quickly pulls away her hand as soon as he looks at her with anger...) woh this seat is reserved for somebody...
"Really? Well am sorry but as you can see all the chairs are taken..."
Geet: Well that is not my problem...I am waiting for somebody and would really appreciate it if you can get up...my friend should be coming any minute now...
"Is it a boy or a girl?" (he asks her with an eyebrow arched up)
Geet: Whoever...why does that concern you? (she looks at her watch and gets up to go...) never mind you can sit here all you want..she grabs her bag and leaves the cafe. The guy smirks and just stares at her as she exists the cafe...

"Alright good luck Geet...just concentrate on what we practiced.."
Geet: Alright Guruji
Pari: Geet...(She runs and hugs her but Geet turns her face away) Am sorry baba...please forgive me...come on...look what I got for you..(she takes out a chocolate bar..Geet looks at her with a smile but then quickly becomes angry)
Geet: I want ice cream at the end of the show too...and another chocolate bar...
Pari: ok done
Geet: And then I will decide if I still want to talk to you
Pari: Geet you are being unfair
Geet: I waited for 40 minutes for you...
Pari (looks down) Ok fine there is no winning with you..fine I will get you anything you want..now can I atleast hug you before you go? (Geet smiles and hugs Pari...) I will be right here..good luck...(Geet waits as the announcer calls her...she goes up the stage and begins dancing...meanwhile, Maan was sitting in the audience admiring her..the way she danced and moved...she looked even better in her traditional kathak wardrobe she wore with gajra in her hair and subtle makeup. Her lips looked so addorable each time she lip synch the lyrics...he wanted to go up on stage and take her away in front of everyone...he smiles and watches her dance..for the very first time he wasn't bored usually he never attends these charity functions but he wouldn't miss seeing her for anything...soon his smile vanishes when a guy comes out from behind the stage and begins dancing with her..he wanted to burn those hands that touched her hand and her waist...he didn't know why he was getting jealous and angry just for a girl. He never felt like this before any other girl. He has been with so many girls but NEVER in his life did he go to such an extent of hiring people to find some information about a GIRL. It took a great deal of self control to not go up on stage and punch the guy out...he watched in anger as the guy on the stage danced very closly to her..he puts his hand on her wasit and holds her hand as both of them dance around the stage. She was looking at him with a smile and so was the guy as he lip synch the song to her...he was relieved when the song was finally over and both of them left the stage. The announcer came on the stage. Maan smiled..."finally I will get to know her name" the announcer called Geet Handa to the stage and there she was coming back with hands folded...
Announcer: now I would like Mr. Maan Singh Khurana to come on stage to present Ms. Handa with this award for participating in this competition. (Maan smirks and gets up to go on stage...Geet gets shocked seeing him "He is the same guy from the coffee shop..." Maan goes and stands right next to her...he holds the trophy in his hand and presnts it to Geet nervously holds the trophy...Maan grazes his fingers over hers slowly...she looks at him..he just smiles..she quickly takes the trophy...Maan whispers something in the announcers ears..) sure no problem sir...can we have the photographer to take Mr. Khurana and Ms. Geet picture...(Geet looks at him shocked...she smiles and stands little bit far away from Maan to take the picutre..Maan closes the gap and slightly puts his hand on her back...she stiffens up...as soon as the picture was done..she goes backstage...)
Pari: Oh my god Geet you are so lucky to stand right next to that hunk (She looks at Maan and drools)
Geet (hits her arm) Don't forget you have a boyfriend...
Pari: ohh yeah (she makes a sad face) but he is open for you (she winks at her)
Geet: please I don't have time for that..anyway he is not my type...have you looked at his face...(Pari gulps and tries to signal her that he is standing right behind her) and you know what he Sadhu and arrogrant for me...shakal se hi pata chalta hai kitna dusht dhanav hai...(she laughs. Pari makes Geet turn around as she laughs and immedietly she stops laughing when she sees Maan standing. Geet looks away and leaves with Pari...)
Maan smirks as she leaves...
"Geet...wake up"...(Geet turns on her side...)
Geet: Pari let me sleep...am tired (She whines in her sleep)
Maan (smirks) Pari nahi pati (He whispers in her ear and bits it..Geet instently opens her eyes and moves away from him. She realized she has been dreaming this whole time...Maan pulls her closer from her waist...) Waise if you are still tired then you can go to sleep...(she looks at him) with me...(She struggles to get out of his grip...) Don't fight me Geet...(he looks at her with anger...he looks at his watch..) you have 15 minutes to get ready and come downstairs...(She didn't move) hmm I think you want me to give you a bath? Well I don't mind...(He picks her up...)
Geet (Struggles to get out of his grip) please put me down...
Maan (stops) on one condition...kiss me...(He starts walking again but Geet stops him...he smiles at her...she leans toward his face and gives him a quick peck on his lips...) hmm for now that will do..after 13 days this little peck wont cut it...(he puts her down in front of the bathroom) you got 15 minutes...if you are not out within that time then I would come inside to get you...I have the spare key (he winks at her...before he turned to go) ohh yeah one more thing...take care of the wedding dress..you will need it after...
Geet closes the door and leans agains the door crying..she looks at herself in the mirror...her lips and eys were swollown..she looked at the mangalsture..she couldn't even take it out if she wanted to..."I promise you Mr.Khurana...I will leave this hell house of yours and as my present I will leave this of what you call a mangalsture..this means nothing to me..." She goes and stands in the shower
"Where is the bus? It is late...Babaji please let this bus come soon...it is so hot..." She was standing at the bus stop for the last half hour..and the line to the bus was getting bigger..."why cant this bus be on time? I don't know if I will get a seat on the bus..." Then a car stops in front of her as the windows rolled down she saw it was Maan looking at her. She turned her face sideways ignoring her...Maan beeped at her to get her attention and then he leaned over the passenger seat to talk to her...
Maan: Need a ride? (he smirks at her..)
Geet: No thank you (Geet got happy when the bus arrived but due to Maans car bus had to stop in the back. The bus driver honked at Maan to move his car but Maan just sat there looking at his time not caring about anything...)
Random Person: oye move your car...
Maan: I will once she agrees to let me give her a ride...(he points at Geet..everyone starts yelling and screaming at Geet..at the end she had no option but to get in the car with him...Maan smiled and drove off)
Geet: you can stop the car right here...
Maan: Now this car will ONLY stop at your house...(he winks at her...Geet looks outside the window...)
Geet: Stop my house is here...(Maan stops the car and looks outside the window. She quickly gets off and opens the gate to go inside...Maan looks at her and drives off...after few minutes Geet sneaks out..."thank god he is gone...now I can go home..." As she was about to go she sees Maan leaning against his car with arms folded looking at her with a smirk...she looks at him shocked...
