Chapter 10...I cannot fulfill your wish

"I want you to meet my Maa..."

"we met in the hall..." she was surprised...

"Not that way...she hardly speaks in front of Dadima...I will take you to her personally..."

She was confused..."But MK..."

"Please...she expects me to bring to her, her honewali bahu..."

She hesitated...reluctant...thinking but then gave up and came behind him...they were in her room soon...

"Maa, I want you to meet Geet." he held her hand tightly and brought her closer to his mother.

She looked at Geet...and then took her hands in hers..."Geet, I am so happy to see you...I want to ask you something."

Geet was feeling un-comfortable, she looked at her...confused.

"Are you happy with him? Do you really want to marry him...?"

"Maa, what kind of question is this...?" Maan interrupted, Geet was also confused...

"Maan, I am talking to her..." and made him quiet, he was very anxious.

"Geet, Marrying Maan will not be a easy walk because you will not be marrying him but this family also and this family has lot of expectations, traditions, bandhan..."

Geet couldn't say anything, she simply kept mum...

"Geet, I understand its difficult...I want Maan to be happy, he was very young when his father died, he without asking any question took up all responsibilties, he never enjoyed himself like others of his age...never demanded anything for himself...never complained...and today when he has asked for something, I am feeling helpless...I am tied up with this family's traditions..."

Her eyes were now filled with tears...and Geet could feel her pain...her helplessness to make her son happy...

"Maa, I understand...I hope everything will be fine soon..." she could say this much only.

She hugged Geet..."If Maan has decided to make you part of his life then I will not question his choice, I can only pray to God to make his wish true..." her tears started rolling out...

Geet couldn't say anything, she helplessly looked at Maan...and Maan interrupted...

"Maa, don't worry...everything will be fine...and Geet is here for few days, I want you to know her more...fir tumhare hath ka khaana..."

She smiled...and he hugged her then they left her...

As soon they came out...

"Ms. Handa..."

"I understand her..." Geet interrrupted before he could say anything...

He nodded, then she left him ...he dumbly stared her as she walked away...

"Maan..."

Suddenly he saw his maa standing behind...

"Maa, aap... "

"Maan, what you were calling her...? I heard Ms. Handa..."

He was stunned...didn't know how to cover it...

"Maa...you know...in office I was so used to calling her Ms. Handa, now it has become my habit..."

"Maan, Kahin aap jhoot toh nahin bol rahain hain...?"

"No Maa...everything is fine..."

She looked at him doubting...he hugged her tightly..."Maa, I told you everything is fine...Tell me what you have cooked for me today...? " and he then he walked away with her, very closely holding her...chatting with her...trying to take away her doubts...

At lunch...

They all were seating on the table...pin drop silence...Geet kept looking at her plate, she was feeling completely dumb...she is stuck here because of MK...and this MK...he cannot even say NO to his family...she was repenting on agreeing to his request...Everyone is looking at her as she is from some other planet...and most unwanted person at the moment...

"Geet, so tell us about you." Dadima prodded.

"I am from Delhi, I work with MK..."

"and your parents...?"

"I left them..."

"Left them...?"

"Yes..." and she avoided looking at everyone.

Maan was disturbed to hear her confession, but was now worried as he saw she was disturbed, "Dadima, Please don't ask her any such questions, I have already told you everything about her...to me she matters...that's all..."

"Maan..."

"Dadima, please..."

Everyone was then silently back to lunch...

After lunch, she came back to her room...and sat near the window,,,,staring out...thinking...

Chapter 11- I cannot fall for her...

While coming back, both were silent in the car, after sometime he decided to break the silence.

"Geet, you were very deep in prayers..."

"Yes, I came to Gurudwara after long time, I felt peace."

She didn't look at him...was staring ahead...

"Geet, you OK..?" suddenly he felt she was sad.

"No I am fine..." she shuddered, her normal smile came back...her eyes started twinkling...

"OK..." He looked at her once more deeply...

They reached Khurana palace, and as they got down from the car, her cell rang...

"Hi Neil..." she was back to her charming style...

He didn't like it...he waited for her to finish the call...he was restless...soon she came back...

"Why he called up...?"

"MK...why you want to know..." she looked stunned...

"No...can't he handle himself, why he keeps calling you..."

"MK...it was not related to work, it was personal."

He kept mum, trying to find words... "So, he is the one in your life right now...?"

"MK, I don't like my personal life to be questioned..." her eyes flared.

"I am sorry..." he realized...she is right, he has no right to be personal with her.

She gave a angry look at him and left...

He came back, feeling bad. He knew she is a different kind of woman...what she might be feeling...he is poking his nose in her life?...She is trying to help him and he was sarcastic to her...

He tried to take all her thoughts away from him...

At night

After dinner, he decided to check in her room...since their arrival from Gurudwara, he was feeling bad for asking her about Neil...he just wanted to talk to her...

He knocked at her door, no response came...and he entered inside...she was sleeping on the Aaraamchair...her always tied hair was open...she was in white silk nightie...and a book on her chest...

He was stunned...he kept staring her...she was in deep sleep...

He didn't know what made him...he came closer...closer to her...took the book and kept it on the table...she was deeep in sleep...

He stood numb...gazing her...her curly hair was floating, her pink lips were inviting and her creamy skin. His eyes went to her neck...her mole so prominent...so many times he had noticed it...he felt it was teasing him...and he then could not control...he bent and kissed her lips lightly...

She woke up...her eyes fluttered, she was shocked to find him so close...

"MK..."

He was also surprised..."I am sorry Geet...I just don't know what happened to me..."

He immediately took his steps back...

"I didn't wanted...I am extremely sorry..." He himself was stunned on his action and now he didn't knew what to explain to her...

"Better be sorry, No one can come near to me till I want..." she had anger in her eyes...

"Yes, I know your choice..." he could not stop himself...

She stared him for few minutes...

"Yes, I make a choice with whom I want to be...and I can't help it if man like you loose their control in front of me..."

He knew she has taunted him and he closed his fists, trying hard to control his anger but he could not...

"Ms. Handa, few minutes back I was feeling extremely sorry for my action but now I am not..."

He stared her equally back and came out...he heard a big bang from inside...he felt good, so she felt the pinch...

He came in his room, trying to recollect, he was disturb...

"...Maan...why you kissed her...it is so unlike you..."

He kept on justifying himself...she was looking beautiful...after all I am also man...so what if I just kissed her once...I have not done any big sin...she is not anyway doodh kee dhuli...I know what is she...

But then he knew the answer...he could not escape it...

"Maan, you are lying to yourself...you are falling for her...you have never ever kissed anyone till now and you kissed her and its not only kiss...you are attracted to her from day one...you are trying to deny the truth..."

It was hitting him hard...as he started remembering when he had first seen her...when he without thinking bought her company...when he had first taken her for the dance, when he had brought her in the land rover...

He opened his eyes...

"No way...I cannot fall for such a woman...I will destruct myself...I have to get rid of this attraction for her...I just cannot do it..."


Next day , early morning.

He called her..."Ms. Handa, we are leaving soon. Please pack..." he waited for her to say something, She didn't said anything...

He packed his stuff and came to meet his mother and Dadima, they were in Puja...

"Maan, you are leaving so early..."

"Maa, you know some urgent work..."

"Why don't you leave Geet here for few days...you know I didn't get time to talk to her."

"Maa, next time..."

He came to Dadima and touched her feet...

"Maan, I have not given my consent about Geet...I want to know more about her..."

"Dadima...Don't fix my marriage...I am serious about her..." he felt bad for lying but he just wanted to buy some time for himself...

He looked at Geet, she was ready with her bags, she then came and greeted both of them...Soon they came out and boarded the flight.. .

in Flight

He sighed..."Finally over...but Maan...remember your promise...you are going to get rid of whatever feelings you have for her...you are going to completely avoid her..."

He closed his eyes...and opened up as he heard her calling him...

"MK..."

He looked at her...

"MK, you mother gave me this pendant...she said its a heirloom..I don't why she gave me...You can keep it back..." and she returned the chain and pendant to him...

He saw it was his mother's pendant, one he had always seen it hanging around her neck, she always felt it was a lucky for her but she gave it Geet...

he was amused..."Maa wants his happiness at all cost but she doesn' know Geet yet...She doesn't know that I myself don't want her near to me..."

He looked at her...she was busy with her laptop...her hair tied up...she had changed her dress...she was back in her regular skirt blouse...

"Yes...! She is perfect...she gave her best for this job also..."

He was not able to take his eyes off from her...

lovely update darling...

for some reason...i feel in this update but maan n geet had sobered down...

the first 8 updates were aggressive, strong, inquisitive making u restless, etc...

i know there r more questions here...why maan wants her to meet the mother, what does dadi think...how come geet has no one to talk about in her family...still something changed in the update...
