part 30

Mayank woke up in the dead of the night. He had seen it all again and detest as he might going through all of it over and over again every night, the nightmares were still there, embedded in his soul. He was sweaty all over and so decided to splash some cold water on his face and so tried to get up when he felt the pressure on his arm. Looking down he found Nupur's head resting carelessly on his arm. Letting go of the idea of moving and risking her waking up , he lied down again and pulled her closer to himself, instantly feeling a soothing effect of the move. However the soothing effect was short lived. Her warm and soft body pressing against his, with her vulnerable look made his insides burn with desire. Controlling his urges, he placed his head on the pillow and looked up at the ceiling. His life was all a mess now. He instantly corrected himself, his life was always a mess. But somehow he had succeeded in controlling the reigns of his life before this girl entered his life. He had to admit he not only failed to understand her, but her sudden mood swings, impulsive nature with that innocence keep him bounded to her. this thought made him frown because his mind was disturbed by this troubling thought. In amidst of all this confusion and desire, what was he suppose to do exactly?

More importantly, what did she want from him and why this tantalizing sudden change in behavior. Did she had any idea how hard it was to keep his hands of her when she acted in that carefree manner. Or how hard it was not to kiss those lips curled up in a smile.

However the most important question was what did he want from her? if it was only desire then he knew he could have her at any moment. Even right now. Then why did he enjoyed going out with her and seeing her be herself with him/ why did he had this urge to make her his body and soul without breaking her spirit?

Sighing he thought about how nice it had felt when they had gone out, but what do he do about the craving he had for her right now?

He looked down at her face lying snuggled up to his chest and he decided on an impulse- something he had never done in all these years. He decided to do as she wanted, give her sometime and take from her for the meantime only what she gave without any inhibitions and fears . grinning at the picture she would make when he would inform her about all this tomorrow, he pulled her closer and closed his eyes.

somehow even the cruel nightmares let him smile that night without any memories to haunt him.

Nupur woke up the next morning and even before she could open her eyes, she felt his arm still around her and this brought a smile on her face.

"someone is going to be late today."

She said and cuddled to the someone who was grinning to realize she was in a good mood.

"some one seems to be in an adventurous mood today", she heard his husky voice close to her ears soon followed by a kiss on her forehead, "goodmorning."

Nupur's mind was in a mood to step in but her heart hushed him and so Nupur
smiled and opened her eyes to find him glancing in her direction.

"goodmorning. And as I said u are going to be late today."

However she didn't make any movement and stayed in his arms.

Mayank: " I don't plan to go to office today."

Nupur: (brow knitted) "why is that?"

Mayank: " now that's the limit! Here I am agreeing with ur demand and u urself forget about it?"

Nupur: " my demand?"

Mayank: (raised eyebrow) u wanted to spend some time remember? Or have u changed ur mind?"

Nupur looked at him in disbelief and then grinned, " ofcourse not! U really mean it?"

Mayank: " howcome u always end up doubting me?"

Nupur: " because u always shock me!"

Mayank: " look who is talking!"
he grinned back at her and for the first time Nupur felt they had reached some kind of understanding in their relation.

Nupur: " so what are we going to do?"

Mayank: " whatever u say! M at ur service today maam."
Nupur: " how about u pinch me once? Because this all seems to good to be real."

Mayank : " moving closer with his face hovering inches away form hers, " I would prefer kissing u."
Maaynk saw her expression change and his mirrored hers.

Nupur had not intended to remove that smile form her face but suddenly some fears took over. What if he wanted more then she could give? He must have seen those fears because she saw his face expression change and fearing he would withdraw himself, she thought quickly what to do! Until she remembered Mrs vasti's words, " I think he likes u so try being urself with him." Nupur didn't believe in those words herself but well she had to try it out now .

Nupur: (biting lip) ermmm … Mayank …"

Mayank: " its ok!"

Nupur: " no its not! Listen na please.'
Mayank : " he looked at her challenging her to to speak) "ok go ahead."

Nupur: " see Mayank, ermm.. I want to spend time but as I said earlier…"

Mayank: " the touch-me-not theory still applies right?"

Nupur: " who said that? I didn't!"

She cuddled closer to him and looked in his eyes, " I just need sometime for the big step."
Mayank: " as far as I remember I was talking about a kiss.'"
Nupur: (sighing) but I wanted to clear the way it would be ahead. As for the kiss, (she leaned towards him) if u are all mine for today, I can learn to do the same for u!"
Mayank looked down at her for a second before pressing his lips on hers and moving away, " u are the most confused person I ever met!"

Nupur: " tell me something I don't know."
she grinned and this time she leaned closer to him and placed her lips on his, as a result this time the kiss went a long way ahead…

they had breakfast and decided what to do ahead that day. Mayank left it all on Nupur and so she as usual was struck.

Nupur: " mayank cant u help me?"

Mayank: " now what was that suppose to mean?"
he looked up at her and nodded his head in the direction of the sofa he was sitting on, signaling her to join him.

Nupur did exactly that and then started off again, " I cant decide anything."

Mayank: " and so u want me to decide?"

Nupur: "sounds ok as far as u have some good ideas!"
Mayank: " I m not going to meet any of ur relatives mind u.."

Nupur: " I didn't said that…"

Mayank: " good! So we can have lunch together and go out shopping?"

He looked at her as if that was the best he could think of.

Nupur: " ok well, I guess that's the best plan for now."

Mayank: " then go and get ready, while I will make some important calls."

Nupur: " ok!"

She smiled and was off calling out for Mrs vasti. Mayank had felt her bonding with Mrs Vasti and wasn't sure how would she react if she ever knew the truth. However meanwhile, he had important calls to make before he could go out with his wife and make sure that the plan turns out to be the best indeed…
