Part: 6
Morning 9 o' clock. At Maan's office.
Maan: Did they hurt you?
Geet: Nahi' wo log mere saath kuch bhi galat nahin kiya..
' mujhse botut izzat se peish aye the..
Maan: wo tumhe kuch bhi nahi kiya' do din me ghar tak chod diya?? Strange'
Geet: Hmm. Or ussne mere hath pakarne ke liye mujhe sorry bhi bola tha.
Maan: ok. I have taken your official statement' Please sign here.. He handed her a paper which she signed.
Maan: thank you.
Geet started to leave with her mom.
Maan: chaliye ap logo ko bahar tak chod deta hu..
He started to walk with them. He was walking with Geet behind her mom. They were a few feets away from her mother.
"Suniye" Geet clutched Maan's arm tightly.
"Hun?"
"Mujhe apse baat karni hai."
They stopped there facing each other.
Geet: kaal raat 'kaal raat Asim bhai ghar aye the..
Maan [shocked]: kya? R u sure?
Geet: Ha... wo aye the.. ammi nahi mani.. par mujhe yakin hai..
Maan bit his lower lip.
Maan: ab tum jao.. shaam ko milte hai.. Geet smiled at him and left with her mom.
For a few seconds Maan stood there alone thinking so many things. After a few seconds of silent moments he called Apurva.
Maan: Apurva, where r u?
Apurva: At hospital.
Maan: Stay there.. I'm on my way.

At hospital
Apurva and Maan were sitting on a bench in hospital corridor..
Maan: at morning I've took official statement of Ge [he stopped]
Apura: Who?
Maan: Jannat the girl got kidnapped a few days ago.
Apurva: So any information about the kidnappers?
Maan: no. [sighed] she doesn't know anything. Apurva she is the sister of Asim Khan an I think Asim Khan visit there secretly. The family has no idea about that. This girl can take us to him. Make it sure she is under observation. keep an eye over them 24*7.
Apurva: yes sir.
Maan moved his face from Apurva' his gaze was stacked in the floor as if his eyelashes becoming heavy in guilt. Geet.. what I'm doing with you '
Maan [self thought]: I know I shudn't do this to you'. Using you as a trap' I never thought I have to do this to you' is it her fault that we have to trap her for her brother? She has lost her eyes for no reason' still she is trying to be happy' she has lost her friends.. still she is trying to be strong.. is she responsible for what's happening to her? One group is using her as a trap to reach Asim Khan'may be Asim Khan is also eyeing her to reach us'All are using her for their own intention. Even I am not an exception.
He closed his eyes and sighed' Jannat is really trapped here.
They both stood up and started to walk slowly.
Maan pushed his thoughts deep inside of his mind and asked Apurva-
Maan: so whats happening here? How are they? Any info on the bomb blast?
Apurva: no.. they don't know anything about the blast' how would they? We know how they work.. They didn't left any clue.
Maan: so.. how are they?
Apurva: well.. most of them has died'who are alive are in worse position ' bohot log apahij ho gaye hai'. Ussimese kuch hai who are recovering soon' local people helped us very much.. it's strange no? Some of them are killing people and some of them are helping us to save them.
Maan gave a visit to the patients. All of them has came to visit Kashmir and enjoy the beauty and will return with the wound of terrorism in their body and soul. After a few minutes of talking with doctors and victims Maan left the hospital with a heavy heart.

Maan returned to his office at evening. A few junior officers were standing outside. All of them were upset and were talking about something in very low voice. Seeing Maan coming to them they stood in attention.
Junior Officers: Good evening sir.
Maan: hmm.. what happened?
Junior Officers: Sir wo Colonel..
Maan: tell me clearly what happened?

Maan entered Colonel's cabin and shut the door with a bang.
Colonel: Major Khurana' nice to see you. [he smirked]
Major: why you did this?
Maan was angry like hell.
Colonel: what?
Major: you know.. Encounter in a village' killing innocent people of a village' why?
Colonel remained cool and looked at Maan in stone cold stare..
Colonel: Major I have suspected some of them as terrorists..
Maan tried to keep his voice low but his anger overpowered him.
Maan: suspected some of them as terrorists? [ he punched the table] you have killed so many innocent villagers including two kid' cause you had suspected some of them as terrorists? And you only suspected them you were not even sure. Do you have any prove?
Colonel: Oh god.[he yawned] every one used to think Aasim Khan is just a normal guy just a few years back' but see him now... listen Major I don't need any prove 'they all are gonna be terrorists in near future.. so it's better to kill them now.. the place will be more safe..[he gave a dirty smile.]
Maan shouted at the highest pitch of his voice.
Maan: you are giving them the cause to make more terrorists '
Colonel started to laugh.
Colonel: Major Maan Singh Khurana you are honest but stupid. Just like your brother. Captain Dev Singh Khurana. [he started to play with a pen.] Honest, talented but no brain to use. Now see what happened to him.
Maan was totally shocked that he can drag Dev in this. He left colonel's office otherwise Colonel would have killed by him.

Maan went to his office and closed the door. He threw all the files on his tables and punched the table hard. He thought the conversation with colonel.. he just couldn't imagine he killed so many innocent people. Is he a better person than Aasim Khan? He had done the same thing.. killing innocents.. he picked up a bottle and spread the water all over his face and sat on chair leaning his back. after a few silent moments he get up and left his office.

Geet was sitting at her regular place at the valley waiting.
"Geet.."
Geet turned back with a smile.
Geet: array aap a gaye? Itni jaldi? Meri bahut yaad aarahi thi?
Maan didn't answer her. He just sat next to her. He kept quite for a few seconds..
Geet poked him'
Geet: Kya hua?
Maan looked at her. Her face was so beautiful.. but it didn't loose it's innocence.. her beautiful eyes were making her more beautiful.
Maan: kuch nahi..
Geet: accha.. kya hua?
Maan: kaha na.. kuch nahi'
Geet: hmm' kya hua?
Maan: Geet tum thik to ho na' kya hua tumhe??
Geet: pahele ye bataiye aapko kya hua? itni chupchap?? apki awaz itni bhari??
Maan: bas wo'. [he took a breath] chodo na Geet.. kuch nahi..
Geet: acha acha.. samajhgayi..
Maan: kya?
Geet: chaliye' [she stood up]
Maan: kaha?
Geet: chaliye na'
Maan stood up..
Geet: yaha se baye taraf chaliye niche'
They started to climb down slowly' after a few secods they came near a small beautiful lake'
Maan: wow'
Maan couldn't control his emotion seeing that beautiful place.
Geet: hum bajpan me yah ape khelne aaya karte the.. yah ape koi nahi ata'.. apko yaha pe aur kuch dikhai de raha hai?
Maan looked a broken sikara floating on the lake.
Maan: ha.. a tuti hui sikara..
Geet: pata nahin kiski hai' hum to bajpan se hi ise yaha dekhte aa rahe hai.. chaliye woha chalte hai..
They went inside the sikara and sat face to face on the wooden sit..
Geet: ab bataiye kya soch rahe hai?
Maan looked around and drank the scenic beauty of the place..
Maan: soch raha hoon ye kitna khub surat hai.. pata nahi hum sab kyu isse barbad karne me lage hai'
Geet hold Maan'n wrist
Geet: Meri taraf dekhiye.. meri aankho ki taraf..
Maan looked at her almond eyes..
Geet: meri baat chodiye.. mai toh kuch dekh bhi nahi sakti' mai chati hu aap dekhe meri nazro se dekhe' main nahi acchi chize dekh sakti hu nahi buri'. Par mere ankhome koi bhi jo dil chahe dikh sakte hai' aap chahe to aap inme jannat dekh sakte hai.

Maan was going to say something but Geet cut him by putting her finger on his lips.

Geet: Ssshhh!!! Bas is pal ki khubsurti ko mahesoos kijiue' [she whispered in her sweet voice in Maan's ear] bas dekhiye'

Maan felt this place is different from the world outside.. everything was heavenly.. it's like he was seeing the place with a new view.. he had never seen the place in this eyes.. he had never enjoyed anything like this moment.. he had never seen this beauty of nature..
[Gehra hua, phatne laga
Kohre chhate
Dekho chaaron taraf ab noor hai jannat ka]
He was enjoying the moment but at the same time he remembered the danger hidden behind this beauty.. all those people who were killed' all those people who were suffering from pain of loosing their loved one'' he just couldn't think'
Suddenly he felt soft touch of her hand on his cheek..
Geet: abb kya soch rahe hai??
[Ujli zameen, neela gagan
Paani pe behta shikara]
She sprinkle water on his face which cause Maan to cover his eyes.. she stated to laugh and sprinkle more and more water.

Maan: Geet ruko'
Geet stopped'
Geet: Acha yeh bataiye ap kya soch rahe hai?
Maan: yeh soch raha hoon ke kaun zada khubsurat hai.. tum aur ya yeh jaga??

Geet: Pata hai jis din ap mujhse mile te ussdin mai waha akeli kyu baithi thi?
Maan: Kyu?
Geet: Kyuki mujhe apse milni thi.. khuda ki marzi yehi thi.. apse milne ke baad kya hua apko pata hai na?
Maan: ha'
Geet: toh baithe kyu hai?? Chaliye mujhse maafi mangiye
[Jaagi jaagi soyi soyi, rehti hoon khoyi khoyi

Maan: maafi? Kyu maine kya kiya?
Geet: aise kar rahe hai jaise ap kuch jante hi nahi.
Maan was totally clueless.
Geet: apse milne ke baad mai bas aphhi ke vare me sochti raheti hoon. Jagte hue bhi sote hue bhi. Mujhe apki ilava kuch baat yaad hi nahi raheti aur yaad karna bhi nahi chati..
Maan just kept looking at her face.. at her eyes.

Geet: ap bahot hi besaram hai.
Maan: kyu ab maine kya kiya?
Geet: abhi bhi maafi nahi mang rahe'
Maan: galti ho gayi.. maaf kijiye begam saheba..
Geet: maaf kiya.. age se dhyan rahe..
They both started to laugh..

Maan just couldn't take his eyes from her. No not the scenic beauty of the place.. its her which is the most beautiful thing he had ever seen.

Humko na kuch bhi khabar hai, khabar hai

Maan pulled her by her hand and made her sit next to her. He kissed on her forehead she closed her eyes.
Maan slowly untied her hair. Maan pressed his lips on her chin for a second.. then he slowly unpinned her dupatta' she shivered with his touch..
Maan pulled her closer. There were only a few millimeters difference between them. But Maan removed the distance by pulling her closer and broke into a kiss. As the time passed the kiss became more passionate. After devouring Geet's lips and mouth Maan's lips went down to her chin, her neck and collarbone. His hands slide down her slive a bit revealing a portion of her shoulder. His lips loved all her bare skin. His kisses stopped near her cleavage. Geet managed to untie the first two buttons of his shirt. She clutched his collar more tightly. Maan hold her as tightly as he could and kept his head on her bosom and hugged her... as it it was the only place where he found peace

No. the last thing he wanted was to loose her. He didn't even want to share her shadow. He will do anything to protect her from the world.

They didn't know how many hours passed like this. Finally Maan spoke..
Maan: acha ye batao tum kitne saal ki ho?
Geet: Kya?
Maan: tum kitne saal ki ho?
Geet: ap ye janna kyu chate hai? Pahele ap bataiye..
Maan: I'm 28. tum batao' mai kisi minor ke saath to'
Geet: kya?[shocked] mai 21 saal ki hoon.. mai koi bachi nahi hoon'
Maan: tum thik se janti ho na? tumhe dekh ke ye lagta hai tun 17 ya 18 saal ki ho..
Geet: mai bachi nahi hoon.. samjhe ap
She almost cried and Maan smiled at her reaction.
Maan: Chalo ab yaha se.. they started to walk..
Geet just kept speaking same thing making a baby face.
Geet: mai bachi nahi hu.. nahi hu mai koi bachi'
Maan; thik hai thik hai tum koi bachi nahi ho.. tum to 60 saal ki budhi ho..
This time she started to cry.
Geet: mai 60 saal ki budhi dikhti hu kya???
Maan: uff Geet'. Tum to' [he offered her his handkerchief] lo apni asu poch lo..
Geet took it and cleaned her eyes before retuning it to her she sneezed on her hanki.
Geet : ye lijiye [she smiled]
Maan made a face
Maan: ye tum apni pass hi rakho..
Geet smiled and tied that with her dupatta..
