1.A surprise

On the way home from the office he wondered what was the surprise that Daadi was talking about. Whatever it was, it seemed to have brought a new vigour in her. It was a month since he had heard that spirit in her voice, a month since the death of Dev and Naintara. During that month her health had deteriorated to such an extend that he was ready to do anything to get his old daadi back. His decision to get married to Sameera was one such promise. Sam's family and his were close friends...they had known each other for years and were business associates too. Since he didn't have any visions of an ethereal beauty waiting for him to rescue her from fate worse than death, he might as well get married to Sam. She had all the qualities of that suited a business man's wife. She was good looking, educated and hailed from a reputed family. Above all than she was a good friend, who understood him. Many a times he had felt that their families expected them to get married. So if this match made his daadi happy, then why not? Marriage preparations were just the thing to pull his Daadi out of her depression...As for love, friendship was also another sort of love, may be they would learn to love each other.

As he reached home, he found Nakul waiting for him. "Daadi has been asking about you saab. She told me to inform her about your arrival as soon as you came."

"Tell her I'll be with her after I change."

Maan came out of the washroom to find daadi waiting for him with a glass of juice. This must be really some surprise, he thought, if Daadi's enthusiasm was anything to go by.

"Why did you come upstairs Daaadi I told Nakul I would come to you ."

"No, no ...I cudn't wait to tell you the news."

"I can see that," Maan teased, "so tell me Daadi what is this good news that brought the glow of happiness back in my Daadi's face?"

"I'm going to be a great grand mother"

"My God! Daadi did Annie get married in secret? If she is expecting without marriage you wouldn't be so happy!"

"Annie? Who said annie is pregnant?"

"If Annie is not, and I'm sure I've never been irresponsible...then? Oh did you have a secret grandson?"

"Maan, tum bhi na..!" daadi gave him a playful swat. "It's Dev's child...Dev is coming back to us!"

Daadi gripped Maan's hands with both her hands as she exclaimed. Her eyes overflowed. Maan stared at her bewildered.

Okay how is this for a start? Sorry the teaser I posted way back has not been build up...Maan singh Khurana, the movie star is acting up'refuses to come to focus...so, since I stay away from you friends, I thought I'll give you another Maaneet story...actually this was the one I started before Recycled Destiny...got discontinued because of Maaneet fall out and 'RD' happened...hope you will enjoy this one too...plz let me know

omg bindu👏...my imagination is running wild with your intro...i can totaly see where this is headed and i like the idea a lot...of course i don't know how you will develope this at all...but i am so eager to continue reading ...i was just looking for a new FF to start...i can't wait for you to continue this one😍
