Viraat gave a contemptuous glance to the vampires around him. He heard the cry of a girl being sucked dry and gave pitiless glance to the girl's body as it hit the ground.
"So are we any closer to finding the sceptre" he quizzed Niyala, who sat crossed in front of him wearing a dress that left nothing much to imagine.
"Very slow progress ….my fool of a vampire toy is taking his own sweet time….he is planning on using his baby sister" Niyala replied while sipping her glass of blood.
"Akanksha Mehra if I am not mistaken….but he should very well know that none of your vampire hocus-pocus will work on those girls….they are protected from all kind of your mind games….so your vampire toy should have a backup plan" Viraat said with a skeptical smirk.
"Don't worry fur ball we know what we have to do…..we will have the sceptre before the next new moon" Niyala said.
"Speaking of plans how is your new assistant coping Viraat" Aldar asked, striding into the room "His latest crusade has become quiet a case…better put him on leash if you don't want yourself dead"
He warned.
"He is very much under leash Aldar...he is a newborn so you can expect the consequences...the girl is very lucky to have survived" Virat said unsympathetically.
"Dead reminds me…you didn't exactly tell us how you came back from coma…..what's with the great punarjanm secret wolfie" Niyala asked twitching her eyebrows.
"I don't really trust you with my secrets vamp Barbie….and for now I think I will keep that to myself" Virat replied in mock sweet tone.
Aldar gave him a piercing look as if to X-ray him. Being ancient rivals they couldn't read each others minds and this was to Virat's advantage. He didn't want anyone knowing that he had double soul now. And it was getting harder because Viren wanted to surface at times.
"Well I think I better be going….I have to teach my puppet a few lessons" he stood up and straightened his coat.
"Teach him well Viraat…you know that I don't really tolerate lack of finesse….you and your brother have messed up things already by giving away your secret….I don't carry along liabilities" Aldar warned.
"I am not a liability Aldar…not anymore" Virat replied without turning back.
I am stronger than you will ever be he added mentally with a menacing smirk.
After he left…..
"We should be keeping a watch on him father….he is a slime ball" Niyala cautioned.
"I have already posted someone to do that Niyala" Aldar replied.
"Oh and someone has blown into town" she said with a smirk.
Aldar raised an eyebrow.
"My sister and your favourite daughter Tirtha" she said in a taunting tone.
Aldar's gaze all of a sudden sharpened. Tirtha was a big loss to him. In their initial days Niyala and Tirtha were instrumental to his plan to usurp Dehradhoon and control the supernatural elements in here.
Tirtha was, like Niyala said, his favourite. Because in her initial days, with the blood cravings full flung, Tirtha was lethal. The prey she set eyes on became hers the next instant. She was his tiny weapon of mass destruction. Small in size but hugely resourceful. He hadn't expected the setback of loosing her when he killed of the girls brother in front of their eyes. Tirtha was much too attached to the boy. He had been turned a vampire just like them but he refused to feed on human and Aldar did not like liability. So despite Tirtha's beggin he drove a stake through her brother's heart.
This cost him Tirtha and now she was a sorry excuse for a vampire.
"Reminiscing the old days father…should I prepare a red carpet welcome for my dear elder sister" Niyala mocked. She hated the place Tirtha had in Aldar's eyes.
"You very well know that I don't take back those who have left us…..Tirtha should have been killed off earlier and it's only her excellent evading skills that keeping her alive…believe me I will personally see to it that she is dead" Aldar said sipping blood from his tall glass.
Mount College….
Fiza took down the notes as the lecturer continued on. These were going to be among her last classes and she didn't want to miss a thing. College would soon come to an end for her and Anky and she felt it was much too soon. Their lives were so unpredictable that she now wanted to live every moment of it with full zeal.
Her father had finally listened to her. He hadn't accepted Armaan and she didn't expect him to do that outright either. After all a parent would always be cautious. But he had agreed to give him time. To consider and that was more than she could ask for. She couldn't even in dreams antagonize her parents and Armaan would anyway would never allow her to do that. They both were satisfied with the current state. Armaan had met with her father and they talked for a while. He had promised to not meet her much (this was going to be difficult) and give Mr. Sharma enough time to consider.
The lecture and Fiza smiled content. The first lecture of the day was good. The day itself had started on a good note. She had seen her dad smile genuinely at her after long. Though Sanju's current state hovered like a shadow on them, they all needed little hopes to survive. Little things in life should be enjoyed.
She walked towards the library. Even though she was watching her steps she bumped into someone or the someone bumped into her.
"Careful Miss. Sharma" the sexy voice she knew well said.
Fiza looked up at her heart with a dazzling smile.
"What are you doing here Mr. Malik don't you have a company to run?" she quizzed him.
"Ah yes….but unfortunately I was distracted by the image of a 5'5" beauty's portrait hanging on my office wall and I decided to see her" Armaan replied leaning onto the wall " How are you" his tone became more serious now.
"I am fine Armaan….in fact I now feel everything is going to be fine" she replied confidently.
"I thought Sanju's current state might be disturbing you" he said
"It is disturbing….but I am sure she will make it out…she has always carved a way out for herself…and I know God will not ignore so many pleas….especially not Shaurya's" Fiza replied hopefully.
"how is Shaurya?" she asked.
"He is coping…and the good news is the maami has come around…she is keeping him company at the hospital….Sanju's parents are here as well" Armaan updated her.
"Oh god! I think they will catch her lie now" Fiza looked alarmed.
"They didn't….Shaurya covered up for her…and even if they did wouldn't they forgive her now?" Armaan asked.
"They would Armaan but still they might feel a little betrayed" Fiza said fairly.
"Hmm…so headed to the library miss bookworm" Armaan asked with a smile.
"Excuse me….my finals are just a few months away…and passing is crucial…you do know that is a criteria for our future together" Fiza said.
Armaan encircled her waist and pulled her closer.
"I do know that…but do you know what the main criteria is?" he whispered near her ear.
"What?" she asked blushing.
"Love" he said with a wink before placing a small peck on her lips.
"Miss. Sharma…I suggest you full fill both the criteria" he said placing back his Ray Ban and giving her a killer smile before walking off.
Fiza shook her head and got into the library. She moved to the third shelf and picked up a text. When she turned a weird site met her eyes.
Anky was pacing back and forth looking all worked up between third and fourth shelves.
"Anky is something wrong?" Fiza asked, her first thought being of somebody else being harmed "All fine with Sur and Nidha na"
"Thank god I found you Fiz…I need your help" Anky hurriedly came to her.
"Anky calm down and tell me what's wrong?" Fiza said placing the book on the table.
"Everything is wrong Fiz….I mean you are in love with a"
"Anky!" Fiza stopped her before she could spill.
"Eek! I am sorry….you love you know who and my sister loves another such being and we have other you know what's among us….and now the weirdest thing happened" Anky said
"What happened Anky?" Fiza asked again, completely at sea.
"Kabir asked me out and I said yes" Anky said in super speed.
"WHAT!" Fiza shouted earning a 'Silence' from the librarian.
"I mean wow! Anks…that's amazing….." Fiza couldn't control her happiness.
"And why is that weird" Fiza asked controlling her giggle.
"Come on yaar…tu tho mujhe jaanthi hain….me and dating doesn't exactly fit in a sentence" Anky said glumly
"Anks listen" Fiza said sitting down near her " Relax and take a deep breath" she waited until Anky did that
"There is no harm in giving Kabir a chance….he had explained himself to you right and for sometime now we haven't seen any Kabir Rathod stunts….so maybe he changed or maybe he is changing….so why not give him a chance" Fiza explained.
"But what if he is back in his game? I mean we don't know him much right" Anky was doubtful.
"Dating is for that very purpose sweetheart getting to know each other…..and you aren't dumb Anky, you are smart enough to know when someone is playing you" Fiza encouraged "Come on Anks…give it a shot"
"So am doing the right thing by going out with him tonight?" Anky took Fiza's hand "I mean what with Sanju in coma and all"
"Absolutely, we all need to go on with our life and there is nothing much we can do for Sanju rather than be with her and today I and Nikki will do that...….if you want I will ask Armaan to come as your bodyguard…you know just in case" Fiza said with a teasing smile.
"Rehne dho….warna kahin mein apni bodyguard se hi pyaar na kar betu" Anky replied with a wink.
"You!" Fiza aimed to hit her but Anky dodged off with 'see ya later'
In the Badminton court….
" I am winning here" Sur taunted Nidha who stuck out her tongue.
"We have one more set to go buddy" she said while moving back to hit the cork. She slammed into someone and faltered.
"Hey what are you" she began but was stopped when she saw a pair of menacing black pools gazing at her with an evil smirk.
"Virat!" she blurted shocked to see him "You…you were in"
"Coma….unfortunately I woke up and I had a strong urge to see you dear" he said with his smirk still on. Nidha was still recovering from the shock of the night at Khuranna Mansion and she still had nightmares. Seeing Virat didn't help matters. She stood rooted to her spot, fear taking over her senses.
Sur was beside Nidha now and she pulled her back.
"Better get out of here Virat….before Neil or Jeh catches you….you sure don't want to go back into coma" Sur said giving him a dirty look.
"Oh really! I might give it a try" Virat taunted.
"Just get out" Sur spat at him.
"I will senorita…just came to tell you that I am back in action" he said "And this time I intend to get my revenge" he ended in a dangerous note.
