Shashank and Padma are downstairs in the kitchen as their daughters and son-in-law were still sleeping.After the mehndi yesterday, the groom had took them out for midnight bowling along with their other cousins still in their mehndi clothes which was fun because they kept on getting weird looks but they would just laugh it off.
"Mujhe lag raha hai ke Dadajan ko Riddhima pe nazar hai apne koi pote ke liye," Padma said to Shashank as she took a sip of her coffee.
"Mujhe bhi yehi lag raha hai aur jab woh kal uno ne sirf mujhse baat ki thi," Shashank said. Meaning that Jai didn't really talk to Shashank's other brothers or sisters.Padma fell in deep thought about Riddhima's marriage.It is her age to get married and Anjali got married at the age of 22 too so its perfectly fine for Riddhima to get proposals but this was the first one and they want to have a perfect husband for Riddhima.
Riddhima, Anjali, and Atul walk downstairs talking and laughing their heads off.They had so much fun yesterday and the reason for their laughing was because one of their female cousins fell after she let go of the ball and fell right on her butt.Other people also saw it.She was highly embarrassed but ended up laughing too.Seeing them walk downstairs, Padma got up and went to get their breakfast.The three of them took their seats.
"How was bowling?" Shashank asked looking at them.
"Papa, it was so much fun." Riddhima said with a big grin.
"Good that you guys had fun," he replies.Shashank only likes to see happiness in his daughters lives and that is what he is seeing now.Padma brought their food and set it in front of them then took her seat again with her coffee.
"Maine bohut kha liya," Atul said after about half an hour.Padma kept on bringing food for him even though he begged her not to bring any more but she still did.He looked at Anjali for help but she just laughed.
"Arre Atul kahan khaya hai.Aur khao na beta," Padma said.
"Nai Ma.Main bohut kha chuka hoon.Agar maine aur kha liya na toh mera paet pat jaiye ga," Atul said.Everyone laughed at his statement.
"Ma, rehne dijiye na." Anjali said as she thought is was enough.Her mom always fed Atul more but she knew she loves him a lot.
"Oh ho," Riddhima teased with a naughty smile.
"Shut up Ridzi.Tu bhi yehi karegi jab Mom tere pati ko itna khalaye gi," Anjali defended herself.
"Meri shaadi hui nai hai," Riddhima said taking a bite of her food.
"I know lekin bohut jald hone wali hai," Anjali said and looks at her parents."Mom, Dad aap ko Riddhima ke liye ek ladka dhund na chaiye.Maine bhi toh 22 main shaadi ki thi ab Riddhima ki baari hai.Aur kal Dadajan Riddhima se baat kar rahe the.Mujhe lagta hai ke woh Riddhima ka haath maang na chathe hain." Riddhima looks Anjali shocked.Riddhima's mind goes back to her and Dadajan's conversation.He mostly asked about her education and obviously people want to know what they studied in and he asked her that.
"Mujhe bhi yehi lagta hai," Shashank agreed with Anjali.Riddhima looks up at her dad and he looks at her.
"Toh Riddhima tum shaadi ke liye tayar ho?" Padma asked her daughter.Riddhima's eyes shifted to her mom.Riddhima shrugs as she didn't know the correct answer.She was confused herself.She didn't know whether she was ready to get married or stay single for another year or so.If she gets older, she won't get many proposals and if she does, they won't be good proposals.
"Riddhima, hum sure nai hai agar yehi baat hai lekin ab tumhare baari hai shaadi karne ke liye aur phir agar rishta aa gaya hai toh hum kya kahe ge." Shashank said and Riddhima looks at Shashank.
"Aap log keh dijiye jo aap ko theek lage," Riddhima said blushingly.She got up and ran upstairs up to her room.
"I think woh shaadi ke liye tayar hai," Atul said seeing Riddhima's red cheeks.Everyone agreed with Atul.
"Chalo jaldi se saaf karo.Lunch ke liye bhi toh jaana hai," Padma said getting up.Anjali also got up to help her mom.
The groom's side is holding a lunch for the bride's family along with their family.Also, the wedding is tonight too but the bride can't see the groom and vice versa so the bride's face will be covered with her dupatta.
Riddhima was putting on earrings when her mind drifted off to their conversation this morning.She knew it was her turn to get married; even in the cousins its her turn to get married.Most of her elder cousins are married and have kids already and she knows soon that Anjali will become pregnant.Riddhima was still in her thoughts when Anjali walks in her room.
"Riddhima, tumhare paas koi golden earrings hai?" Anjali asked going through Riddhima's jewelry box.When Riddhima didn't reply, Anjali looks at Riddhima.Anjali hits her shoulder with the back of Riddhima's shoulder causing Riddhima to come out of her thoughts. Riddhima looks Anjali, shocked to see her in room.
"Di, aap yahan kya kar rahe hai?" Riddhima asked looking at Anjali.Anjali became confused and looked at Riddhima weirdly.
"Riddhima, main tumhare kamre main do minute pehle aayi thi." Anjali said.Riddhima looks at the door then back at Anjali.
"Oh sorry," Riddhima said and looks down.
"Tum theek ho?" Anjali asked seeing her disturbed face.
"Di, agar Dadajan ne mera haath maanga toh mujhe nai lagta ke main achi patni aur ek achi bahu bun paogi." Riddhima said looking up at Anjali.Anjali hugs and rubs her back.
"Don't worry Riddhima.Abhi tumhare liye rishta bhi nai aaya aur tum abhi se hi ghabra rahi ho," Anjali said as she pulls back.Riddhima giggles and shakes her head."Come on.Sab intezaar kar rahe hoge." Anjali grabbed the golden earrings she saw and made her way out as Riddhima follows her out of her room.
"Aa gaye maharaniyan," Atul said seeing Anjali and Riddhima walk downstairs wearing their traditional clothes.
"Shut up Jiju," Riddhima said hitting Atul's arm.
"Ow," Atul said rubbing his arm.Riddhima laughs at her brother-in-law.
"Chalo daer ho rahi hai," Shashank said.
"Haan uno ne phone bhi kar diya," Padma said.All five of them make their way out to the car.
