loved the party seqence and the song you added...Maan will defo end up falling in love with Geet in his attempt to make sameera suffer and jealous...

A Maaneet Tale

Hiya guys! Hope you like the new siggie I made up there for my FF. It took me bloody AGES as it's my first time making a siggie and my photoshop skills aren't that good as my writing skills 😆 I also had homework to do so I'm SO exhausted but I still couldn't stop myself from writing an update. I hope you like this Chapter 😃

P.S Just to clear things up a bit Maan and Geet aren't officially together. They are acting it 😆

Chapter 8

After the dance, I started to talk to Pinky and Adi. Both were telling me about their lives and what their dream holiday's were, and what their favourite colours were, and what their hobbies were... All that stuff.

I sneaked glances at Maan's direction from the corner of my eye every now and then. I don't know why I sneak glances at him. My eyes seemed to just automatically drift to his direction.

I was busy chatting with Pinky and Adi, and some other guests when the party bodygaurd came up to me. I excused myself from my fellow friends and looked at the bodygaurd questioningly.

"Kya hua?" I asked signalled Pinky and Adi that I would be there in just a second.

Bodygaurd: "Madam, aapko bahar koi milne aaya hai" he told me

"Milne aaya hai? Aacha teek hai. Mein abhi aati hu" I said and headed back to Pinky and Adi.

"I'm sorry, will you please excuse me for a second? I have to meet somebody and it is very important. My apologies for leaving so suddenly" I said sincerly to my guests. I looked at Pinky and Adi apologetically as I turned around to leave. Sir thankfully didn't glance at my direction. He was too busy discussing business with somebody.

I half-ran and half-walked so I could just get this meeting over with. I didn't want to keep my guests waiting.

I opened the door to exit the building and once I stepped outside, the wind immediately had me taken aback. I never realised it had become so stormy. I looked around myself and widened and opened my mouth in shock when I saw the bodygaurd who had just spoken to me lying dead on the floor. I opened my mouth to scream but somebody put their hand over my mouth to block me from saying anything. He pinned me against the wall and I opened my eyes only to see the person who I had hated the most.

"Dev" I whispered as he took his hand off my mouth

Dev: "Your coming with me. Now" he said and tugged at my arm. I didn't want to go with him. He cheated on me.

"Leave me alone" I said and pulled back. He pinned me against the wall and put his mouth over mine. I didn't respond to his stupid kiss at all. I bit his lip and pushed him away from me.

Dev: "Damn it, Geet" he growled and touched his lip. He wiped it with the back of his hand and then pushed my wrists against the wall.

Dev: "Come with me Geet. I'm sorry. I just realised how much I loved you" he whispered in my ear as he nibbled my ear. I pushed him away from me again and decided to take advantage of the moment and just flee. But he pinned me against the wall again.

"I'm not coming to you! Leave me alone! I have moved on" I said through my teeth and looked at him confidently.

Dev: "Moved on?" his grip on me loosened a little as he took in this information.

"I'm with a man called Maan Singh Khurana. Angry and bossy he may be, but he is an infinity times better than you" I lied and spat on his face. Me and Maan weren't together but I might as well say it now that we had kissed in front of the whole staff.

Dev: "You only love him for his money. I've got lots of money. I'll give you all the luxuries. Just come back to me please" he said to me with pleading eyes. But I knew behind those pleading eyes there were evil plans forming inside his mind.

"Get. Lost" I said calmy and pushed him away from me but he pinned me against the wall. Again.

Dev: "If you don't accept me as your boyfriend, then I shall kill that stupid Maan Singh Khurana. In the fire. Just... Like... Your... Parents... Died" he whispered in my ear and I began trembling as those memories wafted back onto my mind again.

He did it?

HE murdered my parents?

"You... You killed my family" I whispered as I digested his words

Dev: "Yes. Me. To take... revenge" he whispered the last word spookily

Dev: "Remember the day when you came back from college and you saw your house burn in fire and turn to ashes? I did that" he said and smirked

I just looked at him with wide eyes. I witnessed it all. I remembered it all. I remember that day like it was yesterday. I felt my knees wobble and my arms tremble.

Dev: "Oh... My beautiful woman has worn a saree today? Even better" he said and trailed his fingers around my bare waist. I hated his touch.

"Let me GO!" I screamed and pushed him with all the energy and strength I had in me. He went tumbling backwards and I took advantage of it and ran. But he grabbed my ankle and pulled me towards him. I fell on top of him and he pinned me against the floor. He clutched my hair and pulled it, kissing me furiously at the same time.

I gathered some strength and slapped him hard across the face. I wobbled back onto my feet but he held onto my pallu. I heard it tear loudly as he pulled be back to him. I put my arms across my chest to protect my modesty but he held my wrists.

I eyed a rock and I held it in my hands. I hit it on his head as hard as I could and his eyes went back in his head. I stood up and quickly went inside the building. I locked the doors, closed my eyes and breathed heavily.

I could feel the floor vibrating as everybody danced and enjoyed themselves. I turned and looked at a mirror to my left and looked at the sight of myself. I couldn't go in looking like that.

And then I remembered.

Dev killed my parents.

I hid my face in my hands and it all swept over me like a tsunami wave. I started to sob like hell. Crying, and crying, and crying. I knew my mascara and eyeliner must be dribbling down my cheeks and I must be looking like a zombie.

When I opened my eyes back again I saw Maan a few feet away from me with a look of horror on his face.

Maan: "Geet" he whispered in agony and shock.

I turned my back on him. I couldn't let him see me like this.

I excused myself from the guests as I had an important call to attend. I walked out and looked down at my phone at the same time to read all the texts. When I looked up from my phone, I froze in my place as I saw Geet crying. Her Pallu all teared up, and when she looked up at me I felt like I had been torn apart.

She looked like a zombie. Her eyes red, her mascara all runny, her hair messy, and her lipstick smudged. The pallu of her beautiful saree had been completely ruined. I wanted to say something but the words were stuck in my throat.

What happened?

"Geet" I wanted to be loud but my voice came out as a whisper. I looked at her wide eyed as I took in her state.

She looked at me wide eyed and froze as if she had been caught doing a robbery. I looked at her come towards me staring straight ahead as if she was a robot. She didn't pause to speak to me, she passed right past me and went towards the ladies washroom. I watched her limp as I saw her right heel was broken.

I followed her.

I couldn't say anything anymore.

I was shocked.

I couldn't think about anything else apart from my family burning in that house as I limped my way to the washroom.

Once I entered, I looked at myself in the mirror. I was a mess but that wasn't what I was going to think about today.

I was going to mourn over my parents.

My trembling hands fumbled and slipped with the tap as I struggled to turn it on. It was like I was paralyzed. Once the tap finally came on, I threw water on my face to calm myself down. When I turned the tap off, I still felt shaky, alone, abandoned, upset, used, lonely.

I watched her struggle with the taps.

After she threw water on her face, she started sobbing again like crazy. I wanted to comfort her but I was paralyzed on the spot.

I heard some footsteps outside the door and I heard some ladies voices. I put my hand over Geet's mouth and took her into the disabled toilets. I locked us in and kept my hand on her mouth. She looked at me with her innocent, big eyes as I gently pushed her against the wall.

I heard the ladies come in. They were talking about what a good couple Maan and Geet were. I smiled at their gossip.

I released my hand from her mouth. Before she could protest, I sealed her sounds with a kiss.

I wrinkled my nose in disgust as I backed away from her.

Somebody had kissed her. I could taste another man on her lips. They weren't her usual, soft, sweet, juicy ones. They were sour.

"Who kissed you?" I whispered as calmly as I could so the other ladies didn't hear me. I could feel anger erupt inside me like a volcano. Who dared touch her?

Geet: "He's gonna kill you" she said in a trembling voice

Geet: "He killed my family in the fire" she said in a shaky voice

Geet: "He... He... I..." she stuttered and I wondered who she was talking about.

"Who are you talking about?" I said loudly, now that I heard the ladies leaving.

Geet: "H-him" she trembled again and then she hugged me tightly. She hugged me so hard, I ended up slamming against the wall behind me.

"Calm down, Geet" I comforted

She began whimpering under my arms and I hugged her tighter to assure her.

"Stay here, I'll go bring your clothes. Don't go anywhere, do you hear me?" I said in my angry, firm tone. She nodded like a child immediately and sat down on the floor. I unlocked the door and stepped out of the toilet.

"Lock the door" I said and waited to hear the click of the lock. I heard it and I sighed in satisfaction.

I had to find out what was happening.
