(: AWTM is one of my favourite movies too, i absolutely adore everything about it, and landon and jamie are just..mwah. <3 erm, it is supposed to go the movie way..so she will die in the end, but she'll leave a hopeful message for all of us, leaving landon, err, armaan and the readers faith-o-fied. 😳

Chapter 1 - The Jump Of My Life!

Rahul got out of his car. ''Is he ready yet?"

''No.'' Muskaan, who was leaning against her car, said. ''We scared him.''

Armaan's car skidded to a halt, inches away from Rahul. He got out and flashed a grin. ''Hey, anyone got any beer?''

''We finished them all back in school.'' Muskaan answered. ''Besides, you have had enough.''

''Here, Armaan.'' Anjali came up to him and handed him a can. ''It's not cold, but you can have it if you want.''

Rahul laughed. ''It's gonna be sweet, man.''

Muskaan hit him on the chest. ''You guys are animals.''

''Hey, hey, hey. You know how it is.'' Armaan interrupted. ''We didn't force him to show up.''

''Yeah.'' Anjali sighed. ''Can we get this over with already? I wanna go back to the dance.''

''Hey, I've got an idea. Why don't you go back to the dance by yourself?'' Rahul frowned.

''I wasn't talking to you, Rahul.'' Anjali snorted.

''You know I don't dance, Anji.'' Armaan shrugged.

''True.'' Rahul grinned. ''I have seen this guy do a move and it just ain't pretty.''

''He's here!'' Muskaan yelled.

They all turned around to see a guy parking his cycle near their cars. Rahul snorted. ''Check out his bike.''

Atul got down from the cycle and waved. ''Hey!''

Rahul walked up to him. ''You're late. I thought you should be here by ten. You should be here when we ask you to be. Think you'll remember it next time?''

''If there is a next time.'' Armaan muttered.

''Okay, guys, let's go!'' Rahul pulled Anjali and Muskaan with him, while Atul walked upto Armaan.

''Is he always like that?'' He asked.

''Always.'' Armaan said, putting a hand around Atul's shoulder. ''You ready to fly?''

They walked across the bridge while Atul looked down at the water and gulped.

''Okay. Here's the deal.'' Rahul said. ''You're gonna jump from up there.'' He pointed to a high diving platform. ''Into here.'' He pointed at the water. ''That's it, and you're one of us. Got it? Are you ready?''

Atul nodded. ''Yeah.''

''Don't be scared, man.'' Armaan whispered. ''I will be jumping with ya.''

''H-how deep is this?'' Atul stammered.

''I don't really know.'' Armaan shrugged. ''Let's go find out.'' He removed his jacket as they both started climbing up. Rahul cheered them on as they walked to the edge of the platform.

''You've done this before?" Atul asked.

''Yeah, man.'' Armaan smiled. ''We have all done this.'' He sighed. ''On the count of three. One. Two. Three.''

Atul shut his eyes and jumped while Armaan stayed there. He fell in the water with a loud splash, while Rahul and Muskaan laughed. Armaan stood there at the platform on his knees and he was grinning. Even Anjali was laughing.

After a moment, the ripples in the water slowed.

''Oh my god.'' Anjali exclaimed. ''He's hurt.''

''What the hell, is he okay!?'' Muskaan yelled.

''Shit.'' Armaan muttered as he raced back down the platform.

''Come on, Atul!'' Rahul shouted. ''Get out of the water.''

Armaan jumped in the water.

''Get him over here.'' Anjali reached out a hand.

'It's so deep in here. I can't carry him.'' Armaan tried to call out for help.

''Watch his face.'' Rahul interrupted. ''Don't let his mouth under the water.''

''Who's out there?" Flashlights swung their way as Armaan tried to get Atul out of the water.

''Oh, shit. Police.'' Rahul cursed.

''Go, guys. Go!'' Armaan shouted.

''Get more people out here.'' The officer muttered on his radio as he raced to the other side of the pool where all of them were.

''Guys, just take him.'' Armaan pushed Atul out of the water.

Rahul pulled Atul out and gave a hand to Armaan. He took it and pushed himself out.

''Armaan, come on.''

''Go, Rahul.''

''Armaan!''

''Just go.''

Rahul ran back to his car.

''I told you not to do this!'' Muskaan yelled at him.

Armaan leaned down where Atul was lying on the floor. ''Ssh, calm down.'' He kept his hand on Atul's chest as he was shaking, trying hard to breathe. He looked back at Rahul and Muskaan who were driving away. Anjali was standing there looking at him, he urged her to go on. He looked back at the police car. ''Shit.'' He patted Atul's face gently, his nose was bleeding. ''I'm sorry.'' He muttered genuinely before racing back to his own car.

''Damn it.'' He cursed as he settled down on his seat. He raced his car on full speed through the roads. When the police car approached from the front, he steered it to the right side, taking a narrow road. The police car kept chasing him as he tried to find his way out. He looked back at the car behind him when another police car appeared from the front. He steered the car to the left side where he crashed into a tree.

He leaned back into his seat and coughed as the officer walked upto him. He swung his flashlight on Armaan's face, his forehead was bleeding. ''Keep your hands on the wheel.'' The officer demanded. Armaan did what he was asked to.
