Part 53

Where were we going? I don't remember coming to this part of New York before. We were sat in a taxi going somewhere.We were both confused but i had some sort of idea that Meera had done all this.The windows were rolled down in the taxi and the cold air was coming in.Because i was wearing barely anything on,I was freezing.It was so cold.The taxi driver kept staring at me and i kept on wrapping my drape around me tighter.He was such an idiot,I couldn't wait to get out of the car.

Maan:Are you ok? You've got goosebumps.

He traced his finger lightly on my arm.How was it that even when i was freezing i could still respond to his touch the same way?

Geet:Hmmm...Im fine.Dont worry.

Maan:Ok

He began looking out of the window again.How much longer would it take for us to arrive? I would die of the cold by then.Maan was probably all nice and warm wearing his thick black jacket.I could ask him for it but then he'd know i lied to him.I'd just have to suffer in silence.I began shivering,My whole body started moving violently.Maan looked at me and i tried to smile.I don't think i fooled him at all as he sighed,rolled his eyes and began taking his jacket off.He wrapped it around me and i stopped shivering,It was so warm!!! I snuggled into it and smelled it.It had his scent in it,Probably of his favourite perfume.He pulled me towards him and i rested my head on his shoulder and wrapped my arms around him.He hugged me tighter.I was warm now.He brought his lips down to my ear slowly.My heartbeat increased with his proximity.He could probably hear it by now.He whispered softly'Why didn't you tell me you were cold? What if you became ill? What would have gone through me?'

Geet: I didn't want to worry you.I wanted you to be happy.

Maan: I couldn't have been happy if you weren't well and i knew something was wrong.

Geet:Ohh...

I felt someones eyes on me and looked up.The driver was looking at us again.

Geet:Will you do me a favour? Tell the driver to stop looking at me or i'll hit him where it hurts.

He burst out laughing but still did it.

Maan:Excuse me,Would you mind keeping your eyes on the road and not on my wife? We don't want to die and im sure you don't want to be hit down there either.

Driver:S...Sure.

Geet:Thanks

Maan:Anytime,Anyday.

Geet:How long is it going to take to get there?

Maan:I don't know.Do you have any idea where were going?

Geet:Yep,I have a very good idea of what she's planned.

Maan:What?

Geet:Im not telling,Wait and see.

Driver:Were here.Come on,Out.

Maan:How much?

Driver:No,No,Ive aready been paid for this journey.

Maan:Oh,Come Geet

We climbed out and my suspicions came true.We were at a hotel and not just any hotel.The best Hotel in New York,The Radisson.

Maan:Why are we here?

Geet:Were staying here tonight.Meera planned it.I suspected this when we left.Come on,Lets go check in.

We walked in to the hotel and everyone stared.We were dressed fancy and everyone else was wearing business suits or dresses.

Geet:Hi,Can we check in.

Receptionist:Yes sure,Whats your name?

Maan:Mr and Mrs Khurana.

Receptionist:Youre in the honeymoon suite.Heres your key and i hope you enjoy your stay.Just follow that concierge.

Geet:Thank you

The concierge walked in front,Leaving me and Maan to walk behind awkwardly.

Maan:Are you still cold?

Geet:Not that much,Its better here.

Maan:If you are,Just tell me.

Geet:Ok

Concierge:This is your room.

I walked in whilst Maan sorted things out with the concierge.It lived up to its name,It was definitely a honeymoon suite.A large heart shaped bed filled the room covered in rose petals.There were roses scattered all over the floor.A door led off into the bathroom and another door leaded to the Main room where there was a TV and Sofa.Seeing all this filled me with nervousness. I walked over to the bed and picked up a piece of paper,It was a note.From Meera.It said:'Hope you like the Surprise,Both Of You.Enjoy!!! xxx' Why did she have to do all this? It was amazing but... My thoughts were disrupted by the door closing and Maan walking in.He walked towards me and read the note over my shoulder.

Maan:So she did all this.

Geet:Yep,She'll never change.

He wrapped his arms around me,Touching the bare bit of my stomach.I sucked my breath in.

Maan:You don't like all this,Do you?

Geet:Its...Its not that i don't like it,I just think its Too Over the top.

Maan:You know,Thats one of the things i like about you.Youre so different,Normally girls love all this but youre different.

Geet:And you like all this don't you?

Maan:Hmmm...i do.

Geet:And youre different from all the other guys.

Maan:I suppose so

I sat on the bed and stretched.I began taking my shoes off but there were so many straps,It would take me ages to do it.After a while,I got annoyed.

Geet:Urgghhh!!!!

Maan:Here,Let me do it.

He sat on the floor and began to untie the straps.

Geet:N..No,Its ok.

Maan:Ssshhh.

In a few minutes,He'd untied both my shoes and taken them off.

Maan:You are so impatient.You get annoyed so quickly.

Geet:Its not my fault.We cant all be perfect.

Maan:Im not.Far from it actually.

I sneezed.And Again,Again and Again.When i could finally speak,I asked Maan:

Geet:Are you remembering me?

Maan:yes,I always do.I think of you all the time.But Why?

Geet:I sneezed and when you sneeze someones apparently remembering you.

Maan:Thats just superstition.

He ruffled my hair and walked away.I bit my lip,Should i ask him where he was going or not? Curiosity took over and i had to ask him.

Geet:Maan?!

He turned around and looked at me.

Maan:Hmmm...?

Geet:Where are you going?

Maan:Toilet,Do you wanna Come?

I blushed and looked down.

Geet:No,Its Ok.

He walked towards me and kissed my forehead.

Maan:I was only joking.

Then,He left the room.

Now that i was alone,my thoughts could wander.I didn't want that.What would happen tonight? Would we...? I began to feel cold again and i shivered.My head felt heavy and my arms ached.I wanted to lie down.I got up to walk to the other side of the bed but i never reached there.Before i could,I felt dizzy and felt myself falling.And then the darkness engulfed me.
