first I agree the rape was unacceptable ... but here we arent talking about the sophisticated ppl, Maan is an antihero , a rustic ... forcing himself on Geet was his way of showing his possessiveness over his wife since she mentioned her relationship with someone else .. it was clearly mentioned in the updates what Maan thought about sophisticated ppl .. and it was only when he got to know Geet his views changed.. Before that he used to think of them as people with low morals .. he himself previously slept with only those so called sophisticated females .. who only wanted his body ... so the rape which i know cannot be justified was his extreme reaction.. thinking that his wife belonged to the same category .. However it changed that very night when he found out that she was a virgin .. hence guilt took over ... Geet on the other hand did not forgive him so easily ... but she was more shocked by her family's attitude who do not even bother to hear her out .. and got her married off .. when her family cud do this to her ... wat cud she expect from her rustic husband ...

Have never commented on IF, but thought I'd do just in reply to the reader who went overboard that a fan fic ought to be treated as a fan fic and as nothing else. No point dissecting the plot and character to nothingness. If something doesn't appeal, just leave it and move on. GHSP gives us enough and more of "sweet moments", so much so that it is diabetic and one wishes to see real love and romance. So, I'd say your writing is progressing just fine and the character delineation so far is just as well. You haven't treated rape with laxity and it's all good.
