7 years hence...
"Aditya...Suraj! I'm warning you stop there or else..."
Geet's voice rang out as she ran after the twins with a wooden spoon in her hand. This was becoming a kind of routine. The kids who loved milk, suddenly had taken an aversion to it. So the chasing became a daily exercise for Geet. The little boys were identical twins, and pestering their mother was their favorite past time.
"Stop, right there..." Geet warned again chasing the duo around the table. She caught the one who tried to duck under the table, to avoid getting caught. "Caught you." She said triumphantly and called out to Maan who was entering the room, "Hold him!" to catch the other. Maan made a halfhearted attempt and winked at the boy who was given the opportunity to escape.
"Maan what is the use of your Tai Chi if you can't even catch your son!" Geet scolded frustrated. She then pulled the one she had caught to reach the table, where the milk was kept. She poured milk into 'the red power ranger' cup and ordered, "drink!".
He took the cup and then said, "but ma, this is Adi's glass. I'm Suraj." She caught his ear softly and asked, "trying to distract me so that you can escape? Now drink!"
She stood guard, until he drank till the last drop, grumbling. As he stood up to leave, she thought aloud, "one down, one to go! Baabaji, why did you keep your most naughty one's for me? And not just one, but two to keep your poor Geet on her toes!"
She marched off the dining room to find Suraj. Maan was sitting in the lounge reading a magazine.
"Where is he?"
"Who?"
"Suraj!"
"I don't know which one, but one just went thru there," he said pointing his finger towards the door.
"Shame on you Maan, can't you even figure out your sons! Was it the one wearing yellow t-shirt?"
"Let me show you shameless!" He pulled her hand, making her loose balance and fall on him. He immediately switched position so that he had her pinned to the sofa with his weight.
"Maan! What are you doing? Let me up!"
"Not unless I get my due!". His eyes turned seductive.
"Maan , aap bhi na..." Geet whispered.
"I'm waiting..." Maan said in a husky voice, caressing her cheeks, his warm breath tickling her ears
She planted a quick kiss on the corner of his mouth and pushed at him.
"Okay ...I'll make do with that for now..." he teased as he let her go, "...and I think your yellow t-shirt was going to the games room."
When she reached the Games room she found Aditya in red T-shirt playing on the play station.
"Where is..."
Aditya pointed towards the window before Geet completed her question. She looked out of the window to see a glimpse of yellow disappearing round the corner. With a sigh she started to climb thru' the window so that he wudn't gain distance.
" Maa...pari!" Aditya called out, alarmed.
"Teek hey ...teek hey" she turned back to go out of the door.
"Suraj..." she called out. "When I catch you I'm going to punish you for sure. No more play station for a week. But if you will be a really good boy, may be I can reduce the punishment!"
She saw Suraj dashing into the kitchen and followed. She had to take a break from the chase to instruct Nakul about dinner. Finally she caught Suraj, trying to escape upstairs.
" Suraj, come with me, now. You have had your fun for the day troubling your poor mother!" Geet said angrily pulling a resisting Suraj towards the dining room.
"But maa..."
"I don't want to hear any argument...drink the milk, NOW!"
"Maa.. I'm Aditya. I already drank milk."
"Haan, haan you are Aditya...then you can drink another glass of milk."
"Look at me , Maa ..."he said again making her look at him closely.
"But you were wearing the red T-shirt."
"We exchanged!" Aditya said with a victorious smile and ran off before Geet could react.
"Hey Baabaji! When did I become your least favorite person? Couldn't you give me a little cute angel instead of these naughty imps? Cant you see I'm so out numbered here. You better give me a girl this time...to make up for troubling me for the last years!" she said placing a hand on the gentle swell of her stomach.
So involved was she in her bargaining with Baabaji that she didn't notice the toy car that was lying on the floor. She lost her balance and would have fallen if not for the strong arms that held her fast.
"Careful, Geet! I am happy that you haven't given up the habit of falling for me! But do be careful about my pari!" Maan said caressing her stomach thru her dress.
"Pari needs to find her brother!" Geet said too miffed to fall under Maan's charm. "Did you see your son in red T-shirt?"
"Were you not looking for the one in Yellow T-shirt?"
"They exchanged T-shirts!" Geet said in a frustrated voice.
Maan burst out laughing, which added to Geet's temper. She stamped her foot and said accusingly, "You find that funny? Do you know how long I've been running after your sons to make them drink a glass of milk! Shouldn't children this age have at least one glass of milk a day? ...it's all due to your pampering that they became so naughty..."
Geet started to stalk off, only to be jerked back into his embrace. Maan put a hand on her cheek and said, "Do you know Mishty, you look so beautiful when you are angry! Your eyes shoot fire, your cheeks become more rosy ...makes me wonder if I could turn the fire to some other kind!"
He leaned closer as he spoke and with the final words brushed his lips against hers. Pulling her closer still, his hand skimmed upwards to her back, to play with her doori. The sound of the suppressed giggles broke thru' the haze of passion Maan brought and as she turned slightly she saw the slight movement of Maan's hand that signaled the boys to escape.
She broke away from Maan and glared at him and then the boys who were sneaking away. " You are all having fun troubling me, na? That too, when I get tired easily... I...my feelings doesn't matter to anybody..." then she did something they never expected...she burst into tears.
Immediately contrite, the boys stood bow headed before Geet, who was carried to the nearby chair by a guilty Maan. He held her in his lap, gently ran his hands on her hair and back and glared at the boys.
"See you have made maa cry now!" he accused.
"Sorry, maa!" Adi and Suraj said together.
"Not like that, kaan pakadke!" Maan commanded and the boys did as instructed, drawing a smile from their mother amidst sniffles.
"No more troubles to Ma...Suraj go drink your milk...Adi see that he does." The boys went off do as directed after an exchange of kiss.
" See how powerful you are! Your moods affect us..." Maan said tilting her face up to look into her eyes and then he kissed her forehead tenderly. He continued to rub her back in soothing strokes. Geet snuggled deeper into Maan, hugging him around the waist.
"What happened, Mishty? Tired?" remembering that she missed her siesta.
"Uh..uh"
"Why don't you lie down then?"
"If you will come with me..." she said coyly.
Aditya and Suraj exchanged a knowing look and smiled as they saw their father carry their mother to their room.
"Do you think they are going to kiss like in movies?"
" Meeti Dee and Preeti Dee said kissing like that makes babies!"
"But pari is already in maa's tummy!"
They pondered over it a while then Suraj said,"Let us surprise Maa when she comes down"
"How?"
"We'll ask Nakul chacha to help us make Gol Gappas"
"Maa's favourite! That'll make pari also happy...may be then she will not be sad that we troubled Maa."
"Yeah..." Suraj agreed troubled now with the prospect that they made their little sister sad.
"Come on then." They dashed off to find Nakul and make things right.
One day when Pari is 15 months old...
The little girl was in a hurry to get down from her mother's arms. She didn't like it a bit that her papa and her brothers left her behind to do their Tai Chi. That morning she had woken up early and missed the good morning wish of her brothers. Usually she got up only after the father and the sons finished their exercise. It was her brothers who woke her up with tickles and kisses. So she made a fuss when they weren't there. No, she didn't like it that they had other things to do than be with her...how dare they leave her when it was their utmost duty to be present before her when she opened her eyes!! She made such a racket about it that Geet decided to interrupt the Tai Chi session of the menfolk. As soon as they reached the terrace Pari scrambled down nd ran on unsteady legs towards her brothers.
"Suraj remember the bet?" Aditya asked.
"I'm sure I'll have to remind you that when you loose." Suraj said with a confident grin.
"What bet boys?" Maan asked looking at the twins similarly attired as him in black pyjamas.
"The bet that proves Pari loves me most!" Aditya boasted.
"She will hold her arms out first to me to carry her, which will prove that she loves me more!" Suraj was emphatic.
The brothers waited for the little girl to reach them as it was decided that holding out arms to entice her would be cheating, because she had to decide on her own...yet as soon as Pari, came near both held out their arms and said sweetly, "pari bhaiyya ke pass aao"
She looked from one to the other, then gave them both a royal ignore and hugged her pappa's legs and gave him her dimpled smile. Maan laughed out as he took her in his arms and thew her up. It made Pari shriek with laughter, confident that she would fall back in the safety of her father's strong arms.
When Geet came closer he held his daughter on one hand and pulled his Mishty into a hug with the other around her shoulder and brushed his lips against hers, making the boys exchange a ' there they go again' lookHey there, readers , Just a quick note: I wanted to let you know that since the old module is now locked, I've created a new one for you.
