Part 49

Finally they reached the hospital…DK was in the corridor pacing back and forth…

N: jiju!…what happened…where's di?

DK: she's in there (pointing to a room)…but the doctors won't let me in…

They heard screaming and DK got all tensed…they all tried to calm him down but it wasn't easy…

Finally after a looooooooooong time the screaming stopped and they heard a baby crying…they all smiled…

A doctor came out…

DK: doctor…what happened?…Disha?…

Doc: congratulations Mr.Saighal…you are the father of a healthy baby boy!…

Everyone congratulated him…

Ved: how's Disha?

Doc: she's still a little weak, but she'll be fine after a few days rest…

DK: can we meet her?

Doc: of course…

They decided to let DK go in first…

He walked in and smiled…Disha was sleeping and she did look pretty tired…DK went over to her and caressed her forhead…slowly she opened her eyes…

D: DK…

DK: we have a healthy baby boy Disha…I love you so much!

He kissed her while she smiled…just then everyone else came in…they all congratulated her and gave her flowers (which they picked up before coming to the hospital)…

The nurse came in with the baby and gave it to DK…everyone crowded round to have a look and they all melted!

R: he's so sweeet!

D: just like his dad…

DK: no…like his mom…

Everyone was like awwwwwww!!!

Two days later Disha was discharged from the hospital and she came home with the baby…

Everyone was there!…Suhas, Gautham, Sanya, Preity, Azuba, Sukanya, Anil, Natasha, Adi, Rano, Vedant and Mehika!…they were having a pooja for the baby and it was also the day to decide what they were gonna name the baby…

The pandit recited his prayers while everyone sat and prayed to God for the baby…DK and Disha took the baby to the Pandit who put a tikka on his forehead and blessed him…

It was time to come up with a name…they were all sitting down and thinking about names…

There were so many names but Disha didn't like any of them…

Ved: how about Jackie Chan?

Everyone laughed…

DK: how about Adil? (thanks Kajal 😛 )

Disha smiled…

D: that's perfect…

A month later…


Disha's really tired cause Adil's been keeping her up all night, apart from that she has to do most of the hosue work cause Rano's pregnant (3rd month) and Mehika works (Natasha's gone back to her house)…

Adil's taking a nap and Disha's cleaning the kitchen…

Rano comes in and sees Disha…

R: di…leave it, I'll do it…

D: no it's ok, you go and rest…

R: rest?!…di you're the one who need to rest…now go!

D: but…

R: go!!!!

Rano pushes her out the kitchen and into her room…

Disha decides to sit on the bed for a bit, but without realising she goes to sleep…

Sometime later DK comes back from work and goes into his room

He switches on the light and smiles looking at Disha sleeping…

He sits by her on the bed and kisses her…

Slowly she opens her eyes and smiles at DK…

D: you're early…

DK: early?…Disha it's 8!

She sits up and looks at the clock…

D: OH NO!!!

She jumps off the bed and fixes her sari…

DK: hey relax!…what's the hurry?

D: DK I still haven't made dinner…

DK: don't worry, Rano's made it…

Disha sighs and sits back down on the bed…suddenly she starts crying

DK: Disha?!

DK gets worried and puts her arms round her…

DK: what happened?

D: I'm a terrible person!…I can't even look after the house!…my pregnant sister has to cook cause I'm sleeping…

DK: disha!…it's nothing like that…you're just tired…

D: no DK…I can't even control Adil…

And she starts crying harder…

DK grabs her shoulders and starts shaking her…

DK: Disha listen to me!!!!…you're a wonderful person, a wonderful mother, and above all, a great wife!…you're just not used to having a baby round the house…from now on I'll help more with Adil, and if you want I'll ask Natasha to come back and help with the housework…

D: no…I don't want to trouble her…

DK: fine…I'll hire more servants…but I never want to see you crying again!…

Disha smiled and hugged DK…

DK: if you're too tired then you don't have to come with us today…

Disha unhugged…

D: come where?

DK: to Rahuls party…don't you remember?

D: oh no!!!…I completely forgot!

DK: it's ok…you rest…

D: no Dk…I want to go!

DK: are you sure?

D: yes…

DK: ok…get ready quick then…I'll tell Mehika to change as well…

He kissed her on the forehead and walked out…

Disha and Mehika came out…Mehika was wearing a black dress just above her knees and Disha was wearing a black sari with a silver border…she didn't have much make-up or jewellery on but she still looked beautiful…

DK smiled and walked up to her…

DK: you're looking gorgeous…

D: you're not looking bad yourself…

Rano and Vedant came in holding Adil…

R: now all three of you enjoy the party…and di, I'll look after Adil…

D: are you sure?

R: di!…don't worry and enjoy yourself…

All three left in DK's car…

When they reached the party Rahul came and greeted them…

R: hey guys!…glad you could make it…

Disha was introduced to Rahul cause they'd never met before…

R: why don't you guys go and dance dance?

DK and Disha went and started dancing…it was a slow tune so DK had his arms round her waist while she had her head on his chest…

R: soooo…umm, Mehika…do you want to…

But before he could say anything another guy came…

G: would you like to dance?

Mehika looked at Rahul and went of with the guy…

Rahul was sad cause that was the same thing he was going to ask Mehika!…

He watched the guy whisper something in Mehika's ear which made her laugh…

Rahul was getting angry and sad at the same time…

After about 5 minutes he couldn't stand it anymore…

He walked up onto the stage and switched of the music…everyone stopped dancing and looked at him…

R: first, I want to thank-you all for coming to this party…but this party's not because it's my birthday…or because I've got a promotion…but because there's a very special girl in my life…she's here right now amongst you all and I want to ask her something…

A light started going round the crowd and stopped when it reached Mehika…

Everyone turned to look at her

Rahul jumped off the stage and walked towards her…

R: Mehika…I don't know what you'll say…I don't know if you'll hug me or slap me, but…

He got down on one knee and took out a small box…

He opened it and everyone gasped…

There was a beautiful diamond ring inside…

R: Mehika…I haven't known you for long…infact…2 months…8 days…18 hours…27 minutes and…

He looked at his watch…

R: 15 seconds…but I since the second I saw you…I fell in love with you…I don't know if you feel the same…but…but will you marry me?

There was total silence…everyone was waiting to hear Mehika's answer…

hope she says yes!!!! or maybe she just hugs him! it was gr8!!!! add more adi and natasha parts if you could. 😳
