Chapter 21: To late to mend the mistakes?

Nups entered the lobby and walked towards the sofa, and settled herself on it, she kept looking at the elevator hoping that Mayank would come down.

On the other hand mayank was still in sitting in same position, going over each and everything that happened from that day till today 2 years later, he wanted to go stop Nupur, to tell her how much he loved her, but his knees wouldn't move, he just couldn't simply go and apologize to her for all the things that he had said to her.

Minutes ticked by then hours, Nupur's eyes got tired constantly staring at the elevator, and she didn't know when she went to asleep on the sofa.

~Mayank was also asleep on the safa, when his alarm rang; he looked at his watch and realized it was 9:00, he rubbed his eyes and looked around the room, he slowly remembered all the things Nupur told him, he hadn't realize when his deep thoughts sent him to slumber.

Mayank: "Oh crap I have to apologize to her". He got up from the sofa and rushed down to lobby, he looked all around but Nupur was nowhere to be seen. He walked towards the receptionist.

Mayank: "hi did you see the lady who was with me?".

Recep: "you mean Miss Nupur Bhushan right?".

Mayank: "yah her do you know where she went?".

Recep: "yah she came here last night, ans spent the night in the lobby, but in the morning she took early bird flight back to Mumbai".

Mayank: "what she left (mayank slammed his fist on the receptionist desk scaring the receptionist)...i made such a big mistake again I should have apolozied to her last time, what was I thinking".

Recep: "are you okay Sir". Mayank looked up at the receptionist, realizing that people were watching him.

~Nups was standing in her balcony with Dia standing next to her, they were both having a cup of coffee.It was 4:00pm in the evening. Nups had told Dia everything that had happened in Singapore.

Dia: "are you sure Nupur that you want to do this".

Nups: "of course Dia there is no other option left, I thought that mayank would stop me he didn't, Dia I spent the whole night in the lobby waiting for him, but he didn't came".

Dia: "But Nupur this is a really big decision what will your parents say after this".

Nups: "I don't know but I will handle them, that is not what I am worried about, I am only worried about how am going to do this".

Dia: "Well I don't know what to say to you''..only Good luck''.as a friend I can't even console you".

Nups: "its okay Dia neither can I, from the past two years I have been living in a hope but it was wrong of me, if mayank's ego is bigger than our relationship then I don't think I have any hope left".

Dia: "So what's next after you do this?".

Nups: "what?".

Dia: "What will you do after your done with this".

Nups: "become a good little daughter do whatever my parents want me to".

~Nups was walking back and forth tense, her palms were sweating, everytime she reached to press the door bell her hand would freeze. Some kind of force was stopping her from doing this.

Nups: "you have to do this now, there is no other way, and Mayank doesn't want you back". Nups wiped the tear that just rolled down her eyes at mentioning of Mayank, she was angry, upset, thought she told mayank that she didn't expect him to apologize or accept her but her heart only wished that he did. Nups finally got up the courage and rang the doorbell, Shilpa opened the door.

Shilpa: "Nupur, OMG tum log waapis agaye how wonderful". Shilpa said hugging Nupur, her hug smile. Nups smiled weakly.

Nups: "aunty actually I wanted to talk to you".

Shilpa: "ofcourse beta likin where is Mayank?".

Nups: "Aunty I didn't come with Mayank". Shilpa looked at Nupur and realized that she was upset.

Shilpa: "what's wrong Nupur Beta, come inside and we will talk". Shilpa said putting her hand on nups shoulder.

Nups: "Nahi aunty please aaj nahi, its better ki hum yahin baat kare". Shilpa got a little confused.

Shilpa: "bolo beta".

Nups: "aunty I couldn't win back Mayank, hum dono ko beech koi aisa relation nahi hai, App janti hai ki why mayank said yes to the marriage, aur aap hi ne mujhe encourage kiya, but I am sorry aunty I broke you trust, likin main yeh aur nahi kar sakti, I can't win Mayank, Shayad we were not meant to be". Nups said as tears started rolling down her eyes.

Shilpa: "Nahi beta, I am sorry ki Maine tumhe kaha ki win back Mayank, even when I knew that it is probably Mayank's fault". Nups took out the enagment ring from her finger and handed it to Shilpa.

Nups: "I am sorry aunty liking main ab iss relationship ko aur nahi nibha sakti, I am sorry aunty". Nups walked back to her car and drove off.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------~Mayank opened the door and entered his house, he looked around searching for his mom, who was sitting on the sofa holding a magazine, but she was deeply lost.

Mayank: "Ma, you okay?". Mayank walked over to shilpa and bent on her knees.

Shilpa: "Oh your back, yah I am fine". Shilpa put the magazine around.

Mayank: "Omg mom you will not believe, Nupur aur mere beech mein jo problem thi solve ho gayi hai, you always asked me what happened between us, but I will tell you today".Mayank tells Shilpa everthying while she quietly listens. She was much shocked at mayank's reaction, because she knew that her son did have anger issues.

Shilpa: "I was right, galti teri hi thi, Mayank rishto main shak ki jagah nahi hoti, khaas kharke pyar ke rishto, teri ego, teri arrogance ki wajah se tune apna pyar kho diya".

Mayank: "I Know Maa, maine overreacte kiya, but us waqt Nupur ko Rohan ke saath dekhe I didn't know what happened to me, I felt jealous isiliye maine aisa react kiya, Likin mom jab nupur ne mujhe sach bataya, I was shocked main use kuch keh hi nahi paya, I wanted to apolozie to, her In fact main aaj hi Nupur se maafi mang lunga, Ye engagement maine usse badla lene ke liye kit hi, likin ab this relationship will be my life, I will give everything to our relationship". Mayank was overflowing with happiness, he hugged his mom.

Shilpa: "Tumne bohut der kardi Mayank". Mayank separated from the hug and saw that his mom looked upset.

Mayank: "Kya matlab mom". Shilpa showed Mayank Nupur's engament ring, Mayank took it from her hands.

Shilpa: "Nupur two hours phele yahan aayi thi, usne yeh engament tod di hai". Mayank was shocked. He didn't know how to react, he had lost Nupur once again, why couldn't he just apolozie when she was with him why. Shilpa watched as her son's face color turned pale, all the happiness washed out of him. He walked up the stairs to his room.

Mayank stood by his window, looking at moon, as light cold breeze touched his face, he was still holding Nupur's ring remembering all the moments he had spent with her.

Mayank: "Tumne thik kiya Nupur, I deserved this, Likin Nupur main tumhe dobara nahi kho sakta, yeh two years maine kaise guzare hai only I know, I promise you Nupur I will win you back, Or yeh ring main tumhe hi pehenuaga, leking iss baar it will be forever".

Hope you guys like the update and are not disappointed that i didn't make mayur a happy couple just yet. Actually i believe that it is not right to Nupur that she went all through that and Mayank just apologize to her and they live happily, i think that mayank should now proof his love, and patao Nupur.

Lovely update Ria.

I felt so bad for nupur... she lost everything today, the conversation with Shilpa Aunty was heart breaking...
And then comes Mayank... I felt bad for him especially when Shilpa Aunty gave him the engagement ring back. But I guess this time Mayank will make it work... Update soon Ria... :)

Now i am waithing how Mayu will win back Nupur.
