Hey guys,
Ok well I have merged two chapters together here, so this is a really long part.I really struggled to write this part, I think I re-wrote it like 5 times and I am still not happy with it! I knew what I wanted to happen but to get to it was really difficult and I didn't even get to the point I wanted so a sorry for this bad chapter to come. I really did not know how to write this chapter, so sorry once again esp if it is long and boring, but I guess it is needed to take the story forward!

Chapter 6
Tammana went on with the rest of her day but she could not help but think about Sid and everything he had been through. It was the first time since she had been here that the staff found her so lost, from her normal kind hearted nature, she looked lost. The staff were wondering what was wrong with Dr Tammana who was usually full of life like how Dr Siddhant use to be.
When Tammana got to the locker room, the sight she saw shocked her. Sid and Yuvi were fighting well actually Sid was angry and Yuvi was trying to calm him down getting him to listen to him. "Sid, will you please listen to me?" Sid just pushed Yuvi with more force than realised and walked away. Tammana shouted after him to stop him but he walked away in anger. Tammana rushed to Yuvi to see if he was ok, his head was bleeding as he hit the lockers with force. Tammana rushed to get a medical kit. As she was tending to Yuvi's wounds Tammana "Wait, I have got it! I know exactly how to get Sid to listen, he can really be a stubborn five year old, out of all the things he decides to forget this isn't one of them." Yuvi laughs then asks "What do you mean?"
Tammana responds saying "The first step is to think like Sid."
Yuvi looks at her confused...
"Urgh..." giving him a gentle push" you are so useless and to be honest you can never think like Sid you are too mature."
Yuvi laughed now "Mature? Now who thought that was a bad quality?"
Tammana laughed... "I know who would have thought all the time I spent telling Sid to grow up and now I hate the fact we are all grown up... I want Sid's attitude to life."
Yuvi smiled "Yeah, I swear what Sid can do for a person no one else can do...but first we need him to forgive me."
"Ok, we can go and find him...I guess I am to blame, I told him I knew and I guess he can put two and two together and work out it was you that told me...so let's split up knowing Sid he probably hasn't left the hospital yet...Oh and if you bump into him over play your injury, he is probably feeling bad as it is, but still might as well have him sweat it out a bit...so we are guaranteed his forgiveness not that we should be apologising but anyway... "
Yuvi nodded then went "I will go to the basketball court and canteen, you can check the fire escape and the terrace! Actually wait knowing Sid he will be at the terrace so we might as well just go there..."
Tammana nodded... They left to find Sid...
Tammana and Yuvi looked around the terrace they were about to leave when the noticed Sid he was sitting in a corner crying. They rushed over and enclosed him into a bear crushing hug. Tammana on one side and Yuvi on the other side. "I am so sorry Sid, I shouldn't have forced you to stay in the cafeteria." Tammana said and Yuvi went "She is not worth your tears, you deserve better a lot better..."
Tammana and Yuvi were trying to find the right words to say when Sid spoke "I was just a farz, nothing more, she was forced to stay with me out of responsibility, how was I so blind to see this? She never cared for me and I sat there believing she loved me, she cared for me, I told her everything I was feeling, I opened every emotion up to her and she never once told me she wasn't in love with me, she made me believe we had a relationship..." Yuvi was too dumb found to say anything and Tammana was crying with him, for him.
"Sid look at me, you can never be a responsibility to anyone, you deserve to be loved and if one person thinks of you that way that doesn't mean everyone else does... me and Yuvi love you, you are the best friend anyone can ask for without you neither one of us would be here, let alone be friends you are the link that binds us all, Sid you need to face a situation, not avoid it, you know this better than anyone, you have always faced every situation and you will face this one as well, me and Yuvi are here with you, you aren't alone and you never will be..."
Yuvi was surprised to hear Tammana say this and he had questions in his mind but for now they could wait Sid was their main priority.
They sat there for a while, Sid told them everything, he had been through he told them about the night which they knew about but there was a lot of information missing, they found out about Riddhima's strange behaviour Teej when Riddhima knew nothing about him, Tammana and Yuvi took it all in when all their pagers beeped. They all rushed down to the emergency room, there had been an accident case and all three of them got to work.
Sid was in surgery, Tammana and Yuvi went to the locker room being mentally, physically and emotionally shattered but knew they were in for a long night till all the patients were stable. Tammana was sitting on the bench still taking in everything Sid had said, Yuvi was lost in his own thoughts, that neither of them noticed Riddhima walk in and go into the changing rooms when Yuvi spoke "Are you still in love with Sid?" Tammana was shocked by his question but it was nothing compared to what the shock Riddhima went through when she heard the question, her mind was racing with questions.
Tammana answered "That would have required us both to be in love with each other in the first place..." Yuvi gave her a confused look. "I will always love Sid but like a best friend, he is someone I can never forget in my life but I am not in love with him."
Riddhima did not know how to react to this, what past did these two share.
Yuvi nodded then said "Oh ok, I was just taken back by what you said on the terrace to Sid about loving him. Can I ask what happened with the two of you because Sid never said and well you left and now are back happily married."
Tammana smiled back at Yuvi "Me and Sid it is certainly a complicated story, I doubt we would have ever been in love but I guess I stopped myself falling in love with Sid when I could have because Sid could never have been in love with me, I was a challenge a zidi a change to his daily routine, I am not denying he had strong feelings for me which might have become love but it was never love it was I don't know what name to give our relationship, it was something that made sense to us but never the world, I guess you could say he became a best friend. But when I left, I left Sid with a new life and I guess he got it but I never expected it to reach this stage, first time I don't understand what the big guy up there has planned, but I know one thing I am making sure Sid doesn't break any of his promises he made me."
"Promises?!?"
Riddhima was surprised, here and wondered did Sid marry her cause of Tammana? Is that why he was so willing to let her out of his life? Everything Sid done for her was it cause of promises to Tammana, did he force himself to move on? Did he want divorce cause he did not want to move on? Is that why he never abused his rights as a husband?
Tammana's phone rang at this point it was Ankiet, she had a conversation with him and explained how she was going to be late. Her and Yuvi left the locker room and went to the canteen to grab something to eat whilst continuing their conversation
"Yes promises, Sid promised me never to lose his innocence and I am not going to let him lose it now, he done the right thing by me and I am going to do the right thing by him."
Yuvi nodded "What do you plan to do?"
"I don't know, I guess to get help Sid it is time to become Sid..."
Yuvi looked on confused.
"Yuvi, we need to think like Sid act like Sid, remember when he tried to kidnap me on my engagement, but then changed his mind because he well could not hurt other people to get what he wanted?"
Yuvi nodded
Tammana went on "Well, that is when he made this promise to me because I asked for a leaving gift and he simple told me he has not got me a gift cause he was planning to kidnap me." She smiled. "Well I guess it is time to bring this sweet, innocent, badmash of a Sid back because I miss him and to be honest, I would rather have him around than the Sid I have seen in the past few days, plus we need him talking to JP and Jiggy again, I mean properly if he is willing."
Yuvi agreed and then said "I am not sure about JP and Jiggy, I don't think he is ready to cross over that far but we can certainly bring his smile back." Then he laughed. Tammana looked at him questioningly. He replied "Who would have thought that me and you would be acting like Sid, I mean we are so different to him, which is why he has managed to touch our hearts. We both started off hating Sid, well me anyways you and him just had a fight but you did not care as long as you were working here."
Tammana smiled. "I guess God does work in mysterious ways, maybe it is his way of fixing all the wrong he has brought upon Sid."
"So we need a plan ASAP?"
"Yes we do, let's just finish off for the day and start with a blank slate tomorrow?"
Whilst back in the locker room Riddhima had come out of the changing rooms and was reeling over what she had heard, Sid loved Tammana and she left him. She is married and moved on, did Sid move on to prove a point to her? Was that why he was so ready to let her go? Her mind was buzzing with questions, but Armaan walked in to the locker room. She mentioned about Tammana and Sid to Armaan. He was shocked but then started saying how selfish Sid was because he knew the pain they were going through but still kept them apart. As guilt started to etch onto Riddhima's mind she could not believe what Armaan was saying and how he can see this side but not the side of all the heartbreak Sid has had to bear.
The next day, Tammana was running late. She had two hours worth of sleep before she had to be in again, sometimes she forgot how hard it was being a doctor. She ran into Sanjeevni, grabbed her stuff and went straight to the reception for her briefing. She had been in Saanjeevni all night because of the emergency case but had dozed off because she was shattered being on her feet for so long. Ironically she wasn't the only one late Sid and Yuvi were running to the briefing as well. The only person present was JP. When Sid, Yuvi and Tammana all saw each other running, Sid and Yuvi smirked knowingly and Tammana looking at them tried to hold back her laughter but she just burst out laughing. Seeing Tammana laughing Sid and Yuvi broke into their own fits of laughter. There was nothing funny about the situation but having the same thought run through their mind they were all late. The worse thing was they were still to make it to the reception, everyone turned to look at them as the laughter echoed through the corridor. Whenever any of them made any eye contact with each other there was a new burst of laughter. Riddhima watched as she saw Sid laugh, she had never heard him laugh like that but then she never had given him a reason to laugh. They all stood still calming themselves down but failed, eventually they held their laughter in and made it to the reception trying to keep a straight face but there was a smile playing on all their lips.
Riddhima was frazzled by it but snapped out of it "INTERNS! This isn't a playground, you are here to work not mess around...you have duties here, this not somewhere you come to joke around." Riddhima shouted at the three of them. She continued shouting at them " Dr Siddhant and Dr Yuraj you know the rules of the hospital, so next time you see your personal life as more important than your patients please just do not bother coming to work." Sid and Yuvi didn't see this as anything new this was Riddhima as she normally always was but that is when Sid's mood took a 180 he remembered all the times Riddhima had been mad or upset and how much of an effort he would put in to make her smile. Sid wanted to just leave from there. Riddhima listed out duties but Sid, Yuvi and Tammana were all put into the wrong departments from the where their patients were from last night. Sid was lost in his thoughts Yuvi noticed but didn't say anything.
Tammana said "But Mam..." She was cut off by Riddhima "I give the orders around here so go do your duties! Dr Tammana a word... everyone else LEAVE!" This snapped Sid out his revive but he noticed Tammana was not leaving so he stood there and Yuvi stood there as well as everyone started to shuffle away.
Riddhima "I asked Dr Tammana to stay back, you can leave."
Sid was the first to speak "Dr Tammana isn't to blame so if you want to shout at her, you have to shout at all three of us."
Riddhima was getting frustrated "Dr Siddhant leave..."
Sid refused to leave and said "No because this is an injustice if only one doctor is being held back when all three are to blame."
"Sid, do not interfere in matters that do not concern you..."
"Sorry, but this does concern me, if it involves this morning it involves me!" Sid's anger was rising as well.
Riddhima was about to respond when Armaan came oblivious to the situation, when Sid's pager buzzed and he left from there. Tammana and Yuvi started to leave as well, thinking there was no need to stay there but before they could leave Riddhima called Tammana back.
"Yes, mam" Tammana said.
"I am sure you know how Saanjeevni works being an old intern here, you are here to follow orders and work, your patients are your first priority do you understand Dr Tammana."
"Yes, I do know how Saanjeevni works but it would be great if senior doctors checked before they gave out duties, because then they would realise that Dr Yuvraj, Dr Siddhant and myself have been at work for over 24 hours and we have patients in the ICU for Dr Siddhant who you put in the general ward, I have a patient in the general ward and I have been placed in surgery and Dr Yuvraj's patient is about to go into surgery and he is in the ICU. Oh and next time you want to check our commitment to our job and patients please do get your facts straight might save you some embarrassment" then she muttered the last bit to herself "not that you already aren't."
"Excuse me what did you say at the end?" Riddhima asked.
"Nothing, just asked if I can leave now and go to the correct ward?" She smiled falsely and sweetly. Riddhima was dumbfound and could not even respond, whilst Yuvi and Tammana and left from there.
It was lunch time Yuvi and Tammana were in the cafeteria absolutely shattered when Sid joined them. He sat down folded his hands on the table and put his head down then muttered 'coffee'. Yuvi and Tammana laughed. Yuvi shouted across the cafeteria, "three strong black coffees please!" They sat there in comfortable silence till Sid said "Sorry about today morning." Yuvi laughed and then said "You missed Tammana, I have never since anyone shut up Dr Riddhima so skilfully."
"Why what happened?"
"Nothing, she was telling me how interns need to behave and I just told her how senior doctors are meant to do their jobs."
Before Sid could say anything Yuvi asked him if he was ok, because he went quite in the morning then just angry.
Sid was about to nod but told them what he was thinking that he was always there trying to calm her anger down then he said "I am just tired of it all, I just want the next six months to rush by so I never have to come back here. I never want to see them again, they betrayed me so badly that I don't even want to trust anyone again because all I got was heartbreak from the two people I trusted and cared about the most."
Before Yuvi and Tammana could respond Sid left from there.
"Argh, it is so frustrating to see him like this." Tammana said. Yuvi just nodded.
Then Tammana went "I have an idea, it might work it might not but it is worth a try." She told him the plan. There break was nearly over when Dr Shashank came over to them. "What are you two doing here and where is Dr Siddhant?"
"Sid, I think is on the basketball court as we are all on a break." Yuvi answered.
Dr Shashank chuckled and said "Didn't you get the message that you had today off?"
"Off, but why?" Tammana asked.
"Because you three have been on duty since last night, you three handled the emergency cases brilliantly, because of you the patients are all recovering as best as they can be."
"Oh right! Well we are here right now sir and I think we all want to make sure our patients were fine."
"But you haven't slept in 24 hours that isn't good for your health or concentration, you are better off resting and coming back tomorrow with a fresh mind. "
They both thanked Dr Shashank and said they will take tomorrow off but will complete their duty today, as they have already been here for half the day.
Dr Shashank was about to argue but agreed with them.
As they left the cafeteria Yuvi asked "So when do you want to go ahead with the plan?"
"Today, after at 4, when we have a break..."
Yuvi nodded then asked "what are your plans for tomorrow?"
Tammana laughed and said "Sleep! Wait a second I am going to ask for today afternoon off as well, I think I have an idea to improve our plan..."
Yuvi chuckled "Ok fine, need help?" Tammana nodded but Armaan overheard their conversation and asked "Don't you guys have duty tommorow?"
Yuvi did know whether to answer or not but Tammana answered saying "No, Dr Shashank gave us the day off."
Armaan was shocked and before he could say anything else they left to get the afternoon off. To their luck Dr Shashank agreed after he was told about the plan and asked to do his bit for the plan.
Armaan was mad, he wanted the day off because he wanted to plan a surprise for Riddhima, but he was refused whilst these two got the day off, well later he found out three of them had the day off.
I don't know what I was trying to achieve with this chapter I guess it was a kind of filler, it because I need Sid at a certain point in my story and well to get him there, I need the next few chapters. Anyways sorry for the extra extra long and filler chapter but all comments are welcome!
