-: NOTE :-
Hey friends, here I am going to explain two things .... specially my non-bengalee friends😊
Rabindra Sangeet :I know, many of you couldn't understood Bengali language. So I tried to write the meaning in English paragraph-wise. I don't know, I am succeed or not! But this is my first try to add a Rabindra Sangeet into my FF.
If I am not succeed of proper translation, then please forgive me.
And I request all of my Bengali friends, that please help me to translate this song.
Mahalaya : it's a devotional program. Its held seven days before the Durga Puja. Its kind of invitation to the Mother Goddes Durga to descent to earth. This is done through the chanting mantras & devotions songs.
& about Birendra Krishna Bhadra, since the early 1930s, Mahalaya has come to associate itself with an early morning radio program, called "Mahisasur Mardini". This AIR program is a beautiful audio montage of recitation from the scriptural verses of "Chandi Kavya". This program made with Bengali devotional song, classical music, Sanskrit mantras and a dash of melodrama.
This program has also been translated into Hindi set to similar orchestration and is broadcast a the same time for a pan-indian audience.
This program has almost become synonymous with Mahalaya. For six decades now, the whole of Bengal rises up in the chilly pre-dawn hours, 4 am to be precise, of the Mahalaya day to tune in to the "Mahisasur Mardini" broadcast.
