Chapter 40: Part 1

"AHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!"

He came running in the bathroom when he heard her scream.

"Geet kya hua tum theek ho?!" he said pulling her into a hug.

"Nahi, ab kuch theek nahi hai" she said sobbing.

"Kya hua, aisa kya ho gaya?" he said wiping a few tears with his thumb.

"I------"she began sniffing.

"Hmmm bolo na jaanu" he said anxious.

He didn't want to be what she now considered rude and wake the devil in her. So he stayed calm. Even though Maan Singh Khurana liked it his way.

"I----I'Maan---I, oh it's too sad" she said hiding her face in his chest.

"Bolo na, Geet now I'm really worried aisa kya ho gaya?" he said lifting her chin up.

"I gained 4 pounds!!!" she said crying and whining in his chest.

"WHAT!?"

"Dekha I knew it tumhe bhi dukh ho raha hai.UHAAA!!" and she started to whine again stomping while in his arms.

"Oh wow mujhe laga it was something serious like, I don't know maybe something like you slipped, but that's no big deal" he said sarcastic and angry.

"Hawww you asshole!!! You don't think this is serious?!" she said pushing him away.

He bumped into the sink.

He clenched his jaw.

"Hawww!! I must be fat (she ran fingers through her hair, upset) cuz I can push you now!" she said sitting on the silver stool beside the weighing machine.

"Geet I was sleeping and you screamed like the the sky was falling!" he said walking upto her.

"So, you're telling me this is no big deal" she said all panicked.

He rolled his eyes and took a deep breath.

"Wifey wifey, my sweet wife" he said grabbing her and putting her on his lap.

She wiped her dry tears.

"Dekho, tum pregnant ho, aur weight gain to hoga! After all your four months pregnant now" he said kissing her neck.

"Maan do I look bad?" she said innocently.

"Dekho, this insecurity has got to go, I know you're into fashion and all that's why you're thinking this way, but after your doctor's appointment I will fix this" he said kissing her cheek.

She leaned down and hugged him her head on his shoulder.

"So no more crying" he said kissing her shoulder.

"Do I feel heavy to you?" she said again.

"Phir, phir se? CHUP!" he said hugging her again.
