I know, I know! I've not been updating this FF and you all must be waiting to throw all your sandals and chappals at me. 😆 But please try to understand that I'm giving my competitive exams right now.. I hope that conveys a lot. Exams, pressure, syllabus, tests, etc etc...is not going to stop until mid-may or something like that... I will try to update this FF when I get time... and believe me when I say that I'll be updating this soon! :) Hope that satisfies all your queries. Please don't get upset/angry/pissed with me, alright? :( Please! 🤗

Chapter 9

Recap: In the present, Riddhima prepares herself for her first day with Armaan, while she finds herself day dreaming about Armaan. Armaan, who awaits for Riddhima's arrival, remembers his first meeting with Riddhima. Armaan's guitar playing skills and his melodious voice, while he sings free falling, has stunned Riddhima. Riddhima is not over the last surprise yet, when Armaan gives her another pleasant surprise.

Clearly, the guy was in a foul mood and Riddhima was inviting an unwanted danger. What if she woke up the next day, in a place she didn't want to be? The though itself sent tremors through my body.

So, I decided to take care of the girl for a night, with my room mate, Nikita Khanna's help.

Niks, as I had expected, was furious, when I got Riddhima home. That is not the way she had intended to spend her weekend. But she was stuck, as stuck as I was.

"Why the hell will you do, what you did?" With hands on her hips and a frown on her face, she marched towards me, when I carried a drunk Riddhima into my appartment.

"Leaf...me...alonee.." She girl slurred, trying to push my away, but I managed a tight grip on he.

"The girl needed help, Niks. I just can't leave her there. Not after what happened to-" I stopped speaking, and looked at her. At all her anger washed away, after she realized what I was intending to say.

"Alright. Lets get her to bed." She looked at Riddhima and moved away. Wordlessly, I picked Riddhima up in my arms and carried her to my bedroom.

"Ar-" Her low whisper alerted me.

"Art thou a blood sucking leech? Wilt thou sucking sucking my blood?" She slurred again, as I tried to make sense out of what she said.

"That is not my intention. Not if you don't bother me." I stroked her cheeks gently. At this, she opened her one eye, peeping at me cutely. With a huge smile on her face, she drifted back to sleep.

"Ar-fff-maaan!" She recognized my face, extending the 'fff' way too much.

"Yes, Riddhima." I kicked open the door, as she wrapped her arms around me, shocking me. Her actions were always surprising or shocking, what did I know that this was just the beginning. A drunk Riddhima is no good.

"Now go to sleep, alright." I slummed her on the bed, trying to get rid of her arms around me. For god sake, I have a girlfriend and if she sees me in this condition, I will be screwed.

"No, no!" She shook her head, frantically. Then she opened her eyes, with a baby-like innocent smile on her lips and spoke.

"doo-doo!" She shouted, baffling me, while she tried to get up.

"Huh? No, no doo-doo right now, Riddhima. Go to sleep!"

At this, she frowned. I suppressed a chuckle.

"Goo-gooo!!!" She pushed me away successfully this time, getting up from the bed and trying to open the door when I held her and pulled her away.

"Rid-" That was my first attempt to shut her down, which failed

"Riddhi-" I tried again, with my patience at the edge.

And then I gave up.

"Riddhima!" I shouted, not realizing that she had stopped struggle. I found her watching me with her big, black and round eyes. She pushed her lips forward, raising her chin forward, like a child about to cry. My hearted melted instantly.

She took me by surprise again, when she wordlessly walked to the bed. She wrapped herself with a blanket and lay down quietly. I sighed.

I could finally go and take some rest, gather myself. She wouldn't bother me anymore, I thought. Opening the door, I walked the room and shut the room behind me.
