Sanjeevani Hospital (Mumbai)

9:00 p.m.

Lata enters the hospital with her son and "future daughter-in-law". They hurry up to the reception and ask for Shravan's room number. Before even getting the answer, Lata starts running to Shravan's room. Rajveer and Naina follow up.

She checks all the room numbers…even looks for her son in the general ward, but all in vain. Unable to find her son's room, she decided to ask somebody.

"Excuse me, can you please tell me where's room number 157?" said she, to a passing by doctor. The doctor, the handsome one (whom Lata doesn't know, but you all know..Naina too), smiles and asks Lata to come along. Lata does so but Rajveer and Naina got out of sight. They tried to pace up with Lata but couldn't match up with Lata's running.

*ROOM NO. 157*

Lata and "the" doctor enter the room and encounter an unusual sight. They see the patient, i.e., Shravan, standing and imitating his doctor incharge. And his friend, Varun, forcefully laying on bed and watching his acting.

Shravan: (reading the charts from the holder) Ab tum kaisa feel kar rahe ho Shravan? (imitating the voice of his doc-incharge)

Varun smiles to assure him that he is fine. Then, Shravan starts again.

Shravan: tumhe zyaada stress nahi lena chahiye Shravan..just relax. Ab…

Doctor: (still at the door with Lata) Shravan?? (raising his eyebrow)

Shravan turns around to see the person who called his name. As he sees the person aka his doctor incharge aka the doctor who brought Lata to his room, his tongue comes out of guiltiness.

Shravan: Oh! Dr. Armaan…aap!

Yes, this is the same Dr. Armaan, whom we met at Ali's sister's wedding aka Naina's cousin. But Lata and Rajveer, both are unaware of the fact. Remember, Rajveer had gone to take coffee, when Naina and Pooja were talking to Armaan and his wife, Riddhima, who's also a doctor in the same hospital.

Shravan: aur mom? Aap? Yahan? Kaise? (shocked out of his wits)

Varun: (getting up from the bed) vo..maine auntie ko bataya tha..

Shravan: (turning towards Varun) maine tujhe mana kiya than a mom ko kuchh bhi batane se phir? (Varun looks down) O hello dude! Look here! You are so not safe now..

Dr. Armaan: This implies to you too, Shravan!

Shravan: oh! Umm..I am sorry. Vo actually main bohat bore ho raha tha bed pe lete lete and..a..aap meri mom se mile na doctor? (trying to change the topic)

He goes and stands near his mother and takes hold of her hand. He then squeezes her hand a little and then takes her into a bear hug. Both of them have met after a long time. Encountering their reunion, Armaan and Varun also get hit by a wave nostalgia…their childhood memories…their mother. All this comes to a break as Raj and Naina appear on the scene.

Shravan: (surprised to find Raj there) Are bhai? Aap bhi aaye hai? (leaves his mother and hugs Rajveer)

Rajveer: Aur nahi to kya? Tujhe kuchh hua ho..main araam se kaise baithta?

Shravan smiles. Suddenly he notices a beautiful girl beside Rajveer. He examines her from bottom till the top. He couldn't help it but whistles. Naina is totally unaware of what is happening. She gets busy with Armaan…her cousin. But Shravan's this blatant act doesn't go unnoticed by Rajveer. He actually feels a bit weird at this, not to mention, quite possessive. Not known to the reason, the words come out of his mouth.

Rajveer: Shravan behave!! (sternly)

Shravan: Sorry bhai..vaise ye ho..umm..ye ladki kaun hai? (refrains himself from saying "hot")

Rajveer: ye meri student hai..Naina

On hearing her name, Naina turns around and witness Shravan, for the first time. Although in yellow patient dress, he looked very handsome. He had black-brown hair, produced up into spikes. Naina observed that his eyes resembled Rajveer's...any why not? After all, they were brothers.

Shravan: hie, I am Shravan. (brings forward his hand)

Naina: (shaking hands with him) And I'm Naina.

Shravan: Yeah! Bhai told me just now. By the way, nice to meet you..Naina.

Naina: mee too (smiling) (turning around) And I would like you all to meet Dr. Armaan, my brother. (both Naina and Armaan smile, while everybody else go into a coincidencial shock)

Shravan: Ye aapke bhai hai? Oho…Dr. Armaan, you didn't tell me.

Armaan: I also didn't know that your brother is Naina's teacher.

Everybody giggles and walk over to the sofa in the room. Shravan sits on the bed, accompanied by Lata, who starts patting his back lovingly. Varun goes out to take coffee for everybody. Armaan starts checking the charts suspended on the hook while Naina and Rajveer sit on the sofa…together..hehe.

Everybody had the same question in mind..why did Shravan want to commit suicide? Everybody's heart aching for the answer but they thought that it was not the right time to talk about it.

Armaan: aap sab ek dum sahi samay par aaye. Ab Shravan ek dum theek hai…kal tak discharge ho jayega.

Shravan: (smiling) Thank god! Ab yahan ka sada hua khaana to nahi khaana padega. (everybody laughs) And mom, aap mujhe achha achha khaana banakar khilayengi na?

Lata: haan..haan..Khilaungi. (hits his head)

Shravan: hum sab kal ghar chalenge. Yippee!! And bhai…and mom, aapne to ab tak mera..I mean mera aur Varun ka ghar bhi nahi dekha..so you would have your first time no? wow..kitna maza aayega. Me, Varun, Bhai, Mom and of course, Naina too.

Naina feels a bit out of the depth after hearing this. She felt like an alien their family reunion. She didn't want that to happen! She thought of what to say, but before could think and speak, Armaan speaks up.

Armaan: Umm..I'm sorry lekin umm..agar Naina hamare saath rahe to? Please..aap sab kuchh hi dino ke liye aaye hai aur..

Lata: Nahi..aisa kaise? Naina hamare saath aayi hai..vo hamare saath hi rahegi aur phir..

Naina: Please auntie, main bhai ke ghar rehti hoon na..aur vaise bhi kuchh hi dino ki baat hai..please…aur main bhabhi se bhi nahi mili hoon.

Armaan: haan..please auntie ji..Riddhima ko pata chala na ke Naina yahan hai..lekin hamare ghar nahi aayi..vo to mujhe maar hi daalegi..

Lata: achha theek hai..udhar hi raho. Khush?

Naina: of course. (hugging her)

Rajveer didn't know the reason but he felt bad as he got to know that Naina won't be with him. He felt something strange in his heart. But for now, he controlled his emotions and moved on for a more serious topic…why did Shravan commit suicide?
