She turned back to see him following up to her, gesturing her to move forward and she did. Geet sped into the office building, Maan hurling beside her. As soon as the couple walked in through the doors, they were greeted by a boisterous roar of the office crowd, yelling congratulations. The two stood there, in front of the million people, confused. "How did they?" Geet started to ask when Vicky stepped into their sight. "Oh" Maan muttered under his breath as he chuckled.
"I always knew it" Pinky happily cheered to Adi who was getting a wee bit emotional.
"They look perfect together, don't you think?" Tasha, the receptionist, cheered to the lady in black beside her who didn't seem happy about what was happening.
"Yeah, real perfect" She scoffed and turned away, her eyes, teary.
"C'mon Sasha, why the hell are you so' upset?" Tasha wondered,
"Me? Upset? Pfftt!" she tried to laugh but was brutally unsuccessful.

"Well, we have GOT to get your hair done for the wedding Geet; it's getting a bit too messy!" Priya paced around the hall with a small notebook in her hand, which was supposed to be the wedding checklist. "So, first, take you to the salon, second, get you a manicure!" Priya stared at Geet's fingernails in disgust; they seemed to be bitten off.
"Geet, are you paying attention?!" Priya yelled, startling everyone else that was in the hall (read: Rajji, Geet's mom and Vicky)
Vicky jumped up and glided towards Priya, taking away her list and throwing it away, "chill Pree, we just have to get them MARRIED!" he scoffed.
Priya gasped, "Oh no, you didn't!"
"Oh yes I did, anyway, Geet, let's go and get some ice-cream, it's on me," he smiled when Priya picked up her notebook and slammed it on his head causing him to shout in pain.
"OW!" Vicky yelled, "You bitch," He said plainly and stalked off.
"Where' you goin' Vicky?" Geet called behind him.
"I've spent a bit too much time with monsters" he laughed as he pointed to Priya who looked as if she was going to explode in anger. Vicky had always managed to get someone mad, at the end of the day, his annoying tactics had been proved very irritating. But Geet always felt that Priya and he were the only one who she could confide in.
"You moron," Priya called back, and without anyone noticing, except Geet of course, a tear slipped down her cheek.
"Pri," Geet called and she instantly stumbled,
"Yeah, what?" Priya said,
"What's wrong?" Geet asked, her voice, low as a whisper.
"nothing." She plainly said and walked towards the entrance of the manor.
"C'mon, you can't hide anything from me" Geet said, "Tell me!"
"I'm going to miss you." She said plainly, her face, glazing with tears.
"Aw, I'll always be here," Geet said, her voice, breaking as she leapt into her best friend's arms. Tears clouded her eyes as the thought of not having Priya around dawned upon her. "I'll miss you more" she sniffed. "You know, teasing Vicky, having ice-cream at the parlor,"
"Well, I could use a hug too you know," a voice echoed in the corridor and Geet smiled at Vicky who stood there looking at them. "I'm going to miss Geet of course, I don't miss monsters" he laughed and Priya gave him a friendly slap as the three hugged.
"Aww, promise me you guys won't ever leave me!" Geet asked,
"Well of course we won't ever leave you with someone that Hitler of a husband"
"Okay, enough fooling around Vicks" Geet laughed as she straightened herself up, "I need you guys to come along and get me my bridal suit" she smiled.
"NOOOOOOOOOO!" the shout of horror came from Vicky.
"WHAT THE-"
"I can't go shopping. That's not a guy's thing!" he shook his head.
"Well, you have to anyway, I mean, for your brother" Geet pointed out.
"Ha ha," he sneered "I won't"
"You cannot escape! Or else, you'll have to face the wrath of Maan Singh Khurana!" Priya almost yelled melodramatically.
"Let's get goin' then!" Geet smiled as the three set off.

"I like this one," Geet pulled out a red lehenga. "But don't you think it's a bit too heavy?"
"It's for the bride Geet, what do you expect?" Priya laughed.
"You mean I would have to wear something as heavy as that?" Geet asked, her eyes popping out.
"Like duh." Priya responded and knocked the suit out of the table, "and that thing really wasn't special," she shook her head as she ordered the shop man to show more stuff.
"What? Can't you just pick out a dress and like buy it? Why the hell do you guys take so much time?" Vicky roared beside them.
"Well, probably because' IT'S HER WEDDING!" Priya yelled.
"Guys, take your bickering elsewhere, you are embarrassing me," Geet cut in, "How about this one?" she asked Priya.
"That is Gorgeous'" Priya gasped, slowly stroking the blue shimmering bridal dress, "Uff, this has to be the one!"
But Geet looked unsure, she didn't know if she really wanted it for herself, however, she couldn't deny that it was very beautiful.
"Geet? Where are you?" Maan spoke as Geet picked up her ringing cell phone.
"Arey, I told you I had to go shopping," Geet said as she pulled out another dress,
"Oh, I forgot' Hey, when you're done, call me up okay?" Maan said,
"Right, okay!" Geet replied happily as she hung up. Something white and golden caught her eye. It shimmered under the dull lights of the shop and Geet gasped, "That one, over there," she asked the shop man to show her.
"It's one of its kind Miss," The shop man happily said as he spread the lehenga out on the display table. Priya gasped, and even Vicky turned around, who was busy ignoring the world.
"Wow," Geet murmured as she ran her hands down the dress where the stones were placed in such array. The top was glistening and Geet pictured herself in the dress, walking down the mandap to be tied into the unbreakable bond of marriage with the one she loved the most. It was the one, she figured. It has to be the one.

"What!? We aren't done yet?!" Vicky almost choked on his cappuccino.
"Course not! We have to get jewelry, shoes, and we need to book a makeup artist for Geet" Priya pointed out.
"Oh the joy" Vicky groaned sarcastically, "I'd rather watch a Hannah Montana concert!"
"Ew Vicky," Geet said plainly, giving him a dirty look.
The day went by quickly, with the shopping and all the work; it was a very busy one. Geet was very tired so she walked off to her bed as soon as she got home, forgetting all about what she had said to Maan. She slumped into her bed, without changing and turned off the lights. Her room's temperature was very high, so she opened up the windows, letting the cold wind inside.
Sleep almost took over when she heard the sound of the window panes creaking. Geet's eyes flung open and she covered her face with the covers. Mom needs to sort out the security system, Geet thought as her blood froze in fright. She felt someone crawling up to her, on her bed. She gulped the saliva and slowly pushed the covers, launching herself on the guy who was crawling on her bed, to her.
"CHOR! CHOR! CHOR!" she yelled as she closed her eyes and started hitting the guy blindly.
"GEET- Ow" someone yelled, a familiar voice.
"You know my name?! Chor planning bhi karke aata hai!" she yelled some more as she continued to hit him.
"STOP IT GEET!" he launched himself across her, as he turned on the lamp light, illuminating the room. Geet gave a sigh of relief as she realized it was Maan only. She felt guilty of not having him called after she came back, but she was too tired.
"You freak" Maan got up as he rubbed his arm.
"What do you expect" she whispered back'
"Geet? Geet? Is everything alright?"she heard her mom knock her door.
"Yeah- mom, bad dream" she said, her voice, shaky.
"What are you doing here?" she asked the man who sat on her bed, a few inches away from her.
"Well, you didn't call," he started and guilt rushed up to Geet again.
"I'm sorry' it's just that' I was tired and'" she started to say, feeling and sounding sincere than she had meant.
"It's okay Geet," Maan smiled, "I just wanted to know if you're doing fine" he whispered as he came close, slowly to put his lips on hers.
"Well, now you know I'm fine, you can go" she smiled, putting her finger on top of his lips.
"Hey, that's not fair" he chuckled as he moved the finger away.
"All is fair in love," she whispered, "they say that you cannot see a bride before marriage"
"Well, we already are married" he smiled, slowly coming closer by each word.
"I don't believe in court marriages" Geet smiled as she noticed the closeness.
"What do you believe in?" Maan wondered, his expressions confused.
"Being married religiously" she smiled as she slowly pulled her lips on top of his, for a light kiss and pulled away.
"Now go, I don't want the guards to catch you," she gently pushed him away.
"No one can catch Maan Singh Khurana," Maan whispered.
"whatever" she chuckled'
"Guess what?" he asked, suddenly startling her.
"What?" she asked.
"We're getting married the day after tomorrow" he chuckled as he kissed her once again and slid out of the window.
