Introduction'

He was born to not believe in Love.

No one had the power to melt his heart and when one would ask if he can ever feel for anyone, the reply would always have been "can a stone heart melt?"

But the most average of the girls, slowly and gently' heated up that stone, so much that it started to melt. He began to feel, he began to believe, he began to Love again.

Chapter1- A beginning'

He slowly walked through the thin air, breathing in the bitterly tasting air. He stood near the shore, breathing in the salty scent of the ocean, his eyes closed. What he had done to escape those crowded areas of the cities. Maan slowly opened his eyes and stared at the ocean which was crystal blue. The sun was about to set and the winds were getting chillier than usual. He looked around to see where his driver had parked the car. He saw a feminine figure sitting on one of the benches of the beach.

Her face was not clear but he could tell that the lady was upset. Wonder if she was lost' Maan slowly made his way through the empty dusty air and towards the bench. There sat the most beautiful girl he had seen in quite a long time. She was not conscious' and was lost in her world. Her eyes brimmed with unshed tears and her clothes were wet.

"Um' are you okay?" Maan asked' he might be rude, arrogant, cruel, and insensitive but something pulled him towards this girl. She looked very young' and it wasn't really safe for her to sit around on the beach at this time of the day.

"Huh? Yeah" She snapped out of her world' She instantly got up from the bench and stared at the handsome young man in confusion.

"Yeah, I am fine'"

Maan felt somehow relieved at the sound of that.

"Look, the weather's taking a toll and it's not safe for you to sit around here at this time of the day."

Maan spoke but the girl continued to look depressed and lost.

"Are you listening to me?" Maan said, raising his voice'.

"I'm sorry, yeah, I was. I will be going back'" She said and she walked away.

Maan shook his head in anger and slid into his car.

"Driver, to the airport." He ordered and took off.

"Geet, you sure you won't need anything?" Maa said packing her things up.

"Of course not Ma, You have packed almost all of the stuff." Geet replied as she sat on her window staring at the rain. Who was the guy she just met? Why was he worried about her? She had never seen him there' Not on the usual Sundays which she spent at the beach with her college friends, not on the weekdays which were spent on the beach for homework. She smiled at those college memories, her eyes tearing up' Nothing's the same, she wondered. Pretty soon, she will leave for work to Delhi.

Geet's mom noticed her depressed daughter sitting at the corner' slowly shedding tears that were going unnoticed by everyone.

"Are you okay?" She whispered, sitting closely next to her. She dug into her mother's arms

"No mom." And stayed there, sobbing and weeping her heart out until her eyes were all puffy and red.

"I'm going to miss you Ma. I don't want to leave."

Maa smiled and whispered into her ear "Someday, you will regret saying this."

"But why?"

"Because once you go out to find work, to find your own place to be in, to have an independent life, you'll meet new people and some of them might just take your heart away."

"But why do I even need to find work Ma? Daddy's filthy rich. Just look at the size of this room!"

She almost shouted'.

"Well, we never said that you won't have this big a house in Delhi but you will earn and work hard, Just like your dad does."

"But why Delhi? Why not here?"

The question ranged in Ma's ears as she remembered the threat from her close Punjabi relatives; to kill off Geet unless they marry her off to their eldest son. But the Handa's were well known, respected and a rich family. They simply couldn't marry their daughter off to a poor family who would treat their wives like a bag of dirt. Making her run away from this city was the best thing they could do, for Geet and for themselves.

"You know Geet. Then why do you ask this question over and over again?" Ma asked getting angry.

"I'm sorry Ma, I forget sometimes. So people aren't exactly supposed to know this right?"

"No." Ma said as she wiped her daughter's tears and pulled her close to her heart.

"We are doing this for you only sweetie. We love you more than anything."

"I understand mom'" Geet whispered' "I love you more."

"Flight number 223, to Delhi, boarding now, at gate number 23"

The announcement was made and Geet made her way through the check-in. She sat on the first class seat which was very comfortable, except for the fact that she might be alone there for the long flight.

-Chapter Two-

"I'm sure all of you are aware of the fact that Mr.Handa's daughter, Miss Geet, will be joining our company. We welcome her in the Handa's Industry as the CEO."

There was a round of applause by the office staff of the Handa Companies as Geet emerged forward, next to Mr. Adi who announced her name and introduced her as the new CEO of the c0mpany.

"As you all know, I will be joining Handa Companies as the new CEO. I hope to make my father proud and take this company forward and to new heights. I hope every one of you would help in making me achieve my goal. I look forward to a new development, and a new beginning."

She smiled and walked off, receiving welcome cards, bouquets and well wishes from the staff. Geet felt satisfied with her life already and hoped that this would divert her mind from all the family tensions.

"Miss Geet, May I show you the way to your office?" Mr.Adi politely asked.

"Ofcourse'"

"Adi, Just adi." The young man spoke as he led Geet into a room-sized elevator and pushed the button of the 3^rd floor.

Geet gasped as she walked into her office. It was better than perfect; the size of the room was huge! The desk where she was supposed to work was situated in corner and in the middle was her place to rest' Two comfy couches. The LCD television hung on the wall next to the beautiful paintings and she smiled, feeling happier.

"I hope you liked this!" Adi asked hesitantly'

"Adi, isn't the stupid grin on my face visible to you?"

"Why of course Miss'"

"Umm, adi, you better stop calling me "MISS" like seriously! I haven't been given this much respect since like ever and I'm not that old to be called "MISS" by a guy who's probably my age too." She chuckled.

"But you are the CEO."

"Hmm, let's be friends! In that way, you wouldn't have to care about me being anything higher than you!"

Adi smiled at the modesty of this girl. She was a daughter of one of the wealthiest man in India, yet she was so down to earth!

"Deal!" Adi said' "I'll be sending your secretary, Pinky, here and then we shall work on the new project."

"Brief summary please?" Geet cheekily grinned.

"I'll get back to you. If you need anything, just ring the receptionist, Tasha up!"

"Oh okay! Bye!"

Adi smiled as he left the room, boy, she was such a kid.

"H-hello m-miss" Pinky stammered into Geet's office, nervous, troubled and what not.

"You must be pinky," Geet said, looking up from her files' "Hey there! I'm Geet! Just Geet!"

"I said GEET!" Geet almost yelled playfully which scared the hell out of Pinky.

"Oh my. Sorry pinks! I didn't mean to scare you!" She said running to her.

"It's okay' Geet" Pinky managed to let out.

"Oh come on! Don't treat me like I'm superior to you or anything. You know, I love making new friends! And what better people than my Own Office staff?!" Geet excitedly responded'

"So we are friends?" Pinky asked'

"Of course! How can we work together if we are each other's enemies?" Geet laughed and gave a light hug to Pinky.

"Ah! Do I see two people getting along well?" Adi peeked in'

"Come on in Adi! And yes, Geet's such a sweetheart!" Pinky spoke'

"I know right." Adi responded as he entered her office with a big fat file.

"Woah! What is THAT?" Geet asked, her eyes widening at the big fat file.

"Some documents." Adi responded and took out two papers out of it.

"So we are going to be working on a new '. "Boutique"?" Geet asked, making an idiotic face.

"I always thought we had chains of fancy restaraunts and cloth making factories!" Geet muttered'

"Well, Handa Companies has much more to it. But don't worry; you won't be loaded with work as of now." Adi smiled.

"Coffee?" Pinky asked'

"Sure pinks!" Both of them responded.

Maan picked up the newspaper as he saw the familiar girl on the front page. He looked at her for two minutes, trying to figure out where he had seen her and finally realized that she was the woman who was sitting at the beach, lost in her.

"HANDA SINGH'S DAUGHTER ARRIVES IN DELHI AS SHE TAKES UP THE POSITION OF THE CEO OF HANDA COMPANIES."

Maan read aloud to the plump girl sitting in front of him.

"Looks like we have a new competitor in line." The plump girl mumbled under her breath.

"The Handa's are good friends of my dad Sasha! They might work with us, but they can never be our competitors. You got that?" Maan whispered, unaware of the fact that he was scaring the hell out of her.

"Yes MK," She swallowed and almost ran out of the office when Maan told her to get back to work.

He looked at her picture again, startled. She was in a pathetic condition last time he saw her.

"Interesting." Maan whispered, giving that hot smirk that might make all the girls faint.

"I can drive you home if you like." Adi offered but Geet didn't want to drive home. She wanted to walk, take in some fresh air of the beautiful rainy weather.

"No adi, I don't want to drive. The weather is so beautiful! It's lightly drizzling!"

She said as she stepped out. The sun was about to set and it was getting dark. Real dark.

"I'm not sure if that's a good Idea Geet. There are goons on the corners of the street and it's very dark!" Adi whispered as he walked with Geet on the side way.

"Oh come on! Don't be scared! No one has ever dared to touch "GEET HANDA"!" She chuckled.

"Boy, are you brave!" Adi let out and Geet smiled.

The conversations of these two buddies were not coming to an end and there was still a very long way to go. Adi's cell phone rang and he picked up'

"Ahan- Okay, yeah, I'll be there right now!" Adi replied, worriedly'

"Adi, is everything okay?" Geet asked'

"My grandfather just had a heart attack! I have to run for the city hospital now!"

"Oh you poor thing!" Geet replied' "I'll call you a car." She said as she took out her I phone and dialed the number of one of her drivers."

The car came in less than two minutes and adi waved Geet a goodbye.

"I will be okay!" Geet shouted, waving at the car.

The light drizzle had come to an end but the weather remained cool and happy. She never knew she'd experience this type of weather again!

Geet slowly walked on the sideway as a black shiny car slowly passed by her, splashing a huge amount of dirtied, muddy, water on her expensive Indian clothes.

"Oyeeee!" she shouted at the car. She couldn't have seen who sat in there. The windows were tainted black.

"Can't you see? Andhe ho kya?" She continued to shout, angry at how the dirty water touched her.

The car stopped and she ran towards it.

"Get the hell out of there you freak!" She yelled at the window of the driver's seat.

Before she knew, the back door of the car swung open and appeared one of the hottest guys that Geet would have ever seen. She continued to stare at him in disbelief. He was the one at the beach! Her brains yelled.

"Ah. So Miss Geet Handa has finally landed in Delhi?" The guy asked in his deep and husky voice.

His eyes dark as coal and his smirk that made Geet's heart flutter.

For a second she forgot why she stopped the car and then recalled the moment!

"H-ow do you know my name?" Geet eyed the guy suspiciously.

"Of course you know the name of the person who is on the front page of the newspaper!" He chuckled. That was NOT a happy chuckle. The guy seemed rude!

"Yeah, Okay, But do you mind apologizing for the damage you have done here?" Geet almost yelled angrily.

"I wasn't driving the car. My driver was so there is no fault of mine."

He smiled devilishly and went back into the car and drove away, leaving Geet's mouth wide open, in anger, shock and disbelief. The last time he looked so concerned! And now?!
