"Kya likha hai?" Muskaan asked.
She showed them the message
Simran...This is my new no. The previous one is also in service. Don't call me now. I'm in a lecture. Reply. Urs Armaan......
They all stared at the message.
Finally Nikita was the one to break the silence.
"Whose Simran? And whose Armaan?"
"Jo bhi ho, par lecture mein bhi iske paas itna time tha ke poora msg type kiya. Sirf kuch words ka short form use kiya hai."
Anjali said.
"Par yaar ye to galat hai! Simran ka to Raj tha. Armaan nahi." Muskaan pouted.
"Isse hume kya lena dena? Par ye to clear cut cross connection ka case hai." Abhimanyu said.
"N by the way, isne kaha ye lecture mein hai. Apne hi campus mein hai kya?" Muskaan thought aloud.
They had their college in the same campus as the hospital where they worked.
"Tujhe kya karna hai? Ye apne campus mein hai ya nahi? Jaakar uske saath movie dekhegi kya?" Rahul was irritated.
"Oye kaankhajure! Tu hota hai mujhse ye poochne wala? Main kuch bhi karun." Muskaan retorted.
"Riddhima mujhe lagta hai tumhe use message karke bata dena chahiye ki usne wrong no. par sms kiya hai." Rahul avoided Muskaan's answer.
"Likh,'Stupid! It is a wrong no.' Likh na!" Muskaan said.
"Nahi yaar! 'Stupid' likhna achcha nahi lagega." Atul said.
"Haan yaar. They aren't good ethics. Usne jaan boojhkar to message nahi kiya hoga na." Nikita said.
They were discussing among themselves when Riddhima face suddenly lit up.
"Hey guys! 1 kaam karte hain, isko message karne dete hain. Dekhte hain na, ye Simran ka Raj uff Armaan kya bhejta hai!"
They all stared at her. Amazed.
"Ok! Dekhte hain." Anjali was enthusiastic.
Everyone joined in. Well, not everyone.

Part 3
Two days later
"Oye! Koi naya message? From Raj?" Muskaan chirped as she spotted Riddhima checking her mobile.
"Nahi yaar! 2 din ho gaye, koi naya message nahi aaya." Riddhima said dejectedly.
They were in the canteen. And were soon joined by others.
"N btw Muski wo Raj nahi Armaan hai." Atul corrected.
"Armaan Simran ko bhool gaya kya?" Anjali asked.
"Shayad use Simran ka actual no. mil gaya hai. Isliye usne message nahi kiya." Rahul said.
"Arre! Mil gaya ok. Par kam se kam is no. par to 'sorry' bolkar message kar sakta tha na?" Abhimanyu said.
Pee loon! Tere neele neele nainon se shabnam. Pee loon!........
Riddhima's mobile rang.
She looked at the caller id and was surprised. Armaan?
"Kya hua Ridzi? Utha na!" Nikita said.
"Or should we give you some privacy?" Anjali said.
"Armaan ka phone hai."
"Hero ka! Loudspeaker par rakh. Jaldi!" Muskaan jumped.
"He..."
"Simran suno! I know maine tumhe 2 din se message nahi kiya, par tumhara bhi reply nahi aaya to mai ruk gaya. Achcha suno, abhi thodi baad meri surgery hai. Isliye mujhe 2 ghante tak call mat karna. ok? Bye!"
*Bip* *Bip*
"Hain? Ye kya tha? 'Hello' tak bolne nahi diya? Bas chattar-chattar karta gaya." Muskaan said.
"Tera hi bhai hoga." Rahul said.
"Surgery? Hmm, matlab ye bhi doc hai.2 ghante tak call mat karna? Matlab bohot important surgery hogi." Anjali said.
"Aur juniors ko badi surgeries nahi dete hain. Matlab ye kaafi bada hoga." Nikita said.
"Par awaz to kisi young ki hi lag rahi thi. Around our age." Abhimanyu contradicted.
"Chahe kuch bhi ho! Awaz this badi achchi! Haina?" Muskaan said dreamily.
"Haan yaar bohot husky awaz thi." Nikita joined her in her dreamland.
"I guess hume apni duties assume kar leni chahiye." Abhimanyu narrowed his eyes at Nikita and said.
"Tum sab ki engangement hone ke baad bhi abhi bhi waise hi ho." Riddhima shook her head.
It was true.
Abhimanyu-Nikita, Rahul-Muskaan and Atul-Anjali were engaged to each other but still did not like their respective fiance talking about or appreciating someone else's looks or anything as such.
"Well I'm lucky in that matter. Atul doesn't have any problem with that." Anjali said.
"Kyunki usko pata hai koi aur tumhe aise nahi jhelega jaise wo jhel raha hai." Nikita said and ran for her life.
"Chalo Riddhima. Duties." Rahul said.
"Haan main thodi der mein aati hun."
Something was wrong. Riddhima could sense it. But what she couldn't pin point to what it was.
