I am happy that you liked the update. I worked really hard to make it perfect. I still don't think it was perfect but you have to deliver to the masses and the way Maneetians are I was scared someone would show up with jooties to beat me up if I didn't update. 😃 Mujhe mar nahi khani thi. 😳

Thanks for the compliment. I am from NYC so I know a lot more about it than Harvard, but a good writer does research. I wanted to make the FF as real as possible. I want the reader to experience what the characters are experiencing. I hope I am able to achieve my goal.

Nice to see you are really getting into my FF. And although it is a precap I like to see it as a spoiler. Since I work so hard trying to come up with wonderful updates and bring so much joy to all of you, I decided that it was time for me to have some fun too. 😈 And seeing all of you wonder what is going to happen is fabulous. 😃 Please don't come after me with jooties. Mujhe maar nahi khani.

Yes, Maan Singh Khurana ko disease hain apna naam baar baar kehne ki. If you remember in one of the earlier episodes Geet is thinking about that too and she thinks that maybe he kept on repeating his name because he must have been a slow child and didn't want to forget who he was so as to not get lost. In the last part she actually says out loud what she was actually thinking. It was quite funny. But then again it is Geet, she always says what is on her mind.

Maan at the moment is on Geet's turf. It is new for him, but he seems to be enjoying it. I guess he has been separated from her for 18 years anything will make him happy just as long as she is there.

Part 11



Dinner or what some may call a midnight snack was a magical affair, even Pizza had tasted wonderful. Once they were done, they quietly cleaned up the table and washed the dishes.

Geet then went upstairs and silently continued with her normal night routine. She went and took a shower, brushed her teeth, moisturized, put on her night cloths and proceeded to go to bed.

Maan who was still not sleepy had gone to the living room and was watching the news, about half an hour later he realized that Geet hadn't retured from the bathroom. He got curious to see what she was up to and ventured to the top floor.

The lights had been turned off so it took a minute for his eyes to adjust. He finally saw the light switch and turned it on. All the doors to seemed to be closed. Where could she be? He started to open one door at a time starting from the left.

The first room seemed to be a guest room, it was decorated in a sophisticated yet welcoming manner. The next door was the bathroom, just a regular family bathroom, he thought and closed the door.

The third door her opened had Maan once again in an emotional state. The had turned on the light and noticed, it was Geeta's room. He stepped inside and looked around. He was able to imagine Geeta growing up just looking at all the stuff that had shared the room along with her. He saw her baby toys, he saw some of the pictures that she had drawn growing up. These must have meant something special to her, if she had kept them all these years.

One picture in particular caught his eye, it was a drawing of a family, her family in particular, a Mother and a child holding hands. If you didn't look any closer you wouldn't have noticed the figure of the father that had been drawn and then erased, however the eraser had not been completely successful in doing its job. He wondered why she had erased the father from the picture. Maan started to cry silently, he wasn't exactly sure where Geet was and he didn't want her to see him in this state. That figure of the father should have never been erased he thought cause he was alive.

He decided not to dwell on the picture and moved on to the other items in Geeta's room. Three of the walls were plastered with posters of bands he had never heard off."Boy! I am old"he whispered to himself. The last wall had all the Harvard paraphernalia that one could imagine. It seemed that Geet and Geeta had bought the entire Harvard store.

He sat on the bed and looked at the ceiling, it was covered with glow in the dark stars. He smiled. The lava lamp on the night stand caught his eye."Did they still make these?"he questioned himself lifting the lamp up. He wanted to see which company made them, thinking he might just get one for Geeta's room in Delhi. Just as he looked in the bottom he noticed a note stuck to the bottom, he was tempted to take a look at it but stopped himself. It was surely private and he didn't want this initial act of his getting to know his daughter being a deceitful one.

Putting down the the lamp he turned off the lights and continued his search for Geet.

He opened the last door and and finally found what he had been searching for, his Geet. She was sound asleep. Why hadn't she spoken to him after dinner, he pondered. He would have her answer that question in the morning, for now he just wanted to watch her sleep. She looked so serene, her face didn't show any of the signs of the trauma(leaving Geeta) she had been through during the past 24 hours. She was wearing what could be best described as night kurta pajamas. He smiled, they looked exactly like the ones she used to wear in Delhi.

He remember the first time he had seen her sleeping, she was in his bed and he couldn't believe it. He had been hounded by her thoughts all day and when he saw her in his bed he had just considered her- a beautiful illusion. After all why would she be in his bed, he had asked himself.

Tonight was different, she was no illusion, she was right there in front of him. He then noticed that she slept on just one side of the bed, the left, (when they had fought for the bed their first night together in the outhouse, they had drawn lines and she had taken the left while he the right) it seemed that she had been following those lines all these years later.

While observing her sleeping, he wondered 'where to sleep?' He didn't want to wake her up to answer his concerns. He decided that the guest room would be a good option and turned to walk out the room, just as he was about to close the door, he called to mind the words spoken by her in the car, "you don't invite residents of the house in; you only invite guests in" hearing those words in his head, he went back into the master bedroom and made his way to the right side of the bed. The right side in every sense, both physically and emotionally. He slipped under the covers and lied down.

He kept to himself not wanting to disturb her, he was now on his side staring it her, just enjoying every second he was with her. He really didn't know what Geet had in mind when he had told her they would work out a new compromise and not knowing what was coming next, he didn't want to loose the few precious moments he had with her, when he drifted off to sleep he didn't know, the only thing he knew the next morning was that it was the best sleep he had had in 18 years.

Geet felt something heavy on her chest, she struggled to find out what it was, she opened her eyes but they took a few seconds to see clearly. She then saw it was Maan's arm. It seemed to be almost hugging her. She smiled taking the sight of the man who lay next to her, he looked so calm, she could see a small smile on his face. He had eventually come to bed; she was glad that he had gotten the hint (she hadn't wanted to say anything just to see if he considered this home or not) that this was his home, his room, his bed and his Geet. She lifted his arm gently and put it to the side. She got out of bed as softly as possible put on her robe and walked out not wanting to disturb him. Like her he too had a long day yesterday it seemed he needed the rest.

My Beautiful Maneetians,

Today once again I am happy, in fact I have been happy since yesterdays episode. And although I have not watched todays episode yet, I am following our lovely ARMU4eve's live updates and so far it seems that I will probably be happy for another 24 hours. Stupid Dev and NT, why must they ruin my happiness? Oh well, what can we do?

Also tomorrow is my birthday, so I am hoping you all will be kind enough to give me 'chutti' from writing the update. And as a birthday gift you can all promise to keep on reading the FF and sharing your opinions through comments. The comments are really important to me since it helps me see what you all want and I actually try to change bit and part of the story to entertain you all and keep you all happy. Also tell your friends about the FF, if you like it then they will like it too.
