Chapter 7: Chori Chori (1st part)

She had woken from her sleep to go the restroom, when she had remembered that she had instructed one of the servants to make sure Geet received her last dosage of medicine at midnight. Looking quickly at the clock, she notes that it was around 12:45, thinking to her self that she would check in on her after going to the restroom, she rises out of bed. On reaching Maan's bedroom, she was surprised to the night light in the room was on and was the bed messed, as if someone had been sleeping restlessly, but not sign of Geet. Quickly she checks the bathroom and balcony for any signs of Geet, but is worried when there is not a sign as to where she could be. "Shayad ushe pyas lagi hogi, mein kitchen check karti hoon, yeh ladki bhi na…..aaj shyam ko doctor ki permission kya mil gaye chalne ki……pagal……pataha woh kya kaheigi…..parr Dadiji mein kisi ko taklif nahi dena chahte……yahan par toh sab itne acche hain, mera bhi farz bantahai na ki mein unhe disturb bohot na karu. Par pata nahi usme koi asi baat hai, ke sab ko bohot pyaari lagti hai, iss ghar mein aaye sirf kuch din hue par already all the servants aur workers usko bohot pasand karte hain, uske liye kaam karna unhe accha lagta hai"
Shaking her head, she heads to the kitchens to check for her errant grandchild. One thing she is glad for, she had had the time to take off any pictures from around the house which showed Dev or Naintara, and it was a good thing that Maan's possessions had shifted with him to the outhouse, otherwise this would had made situation worse for Geet. In a way, she was glad for herself too, that she did not have to look upon their faces, as much as she loves Dev, these wounds he had inflicted were nowhere ready to heal or even scab over. Some time was needed for everyone to heal. Of all the things I have thought of, how am I going to deal with the revelation of this matter to Maan, I know that I have to tell him soon but how. As Geet says, 'Babaji meri madat karna'. Reaching the kitchens she is surprised to see it empty. She decides to look around the house, in hopes that everything was ok, she knew Geet probably might have gotten lost as she did not know her house that well. Finally on spotting a servant transporting some towels, she stops him to inquire as to if he had seen her. "Ji, maam, mein Geet ma'am ko pool ke paas dekha tha jab mujhe maan sir ne gym mein bulaya tha, unke liye towel legani ke liye…..shayad woh abhi wahan par hi hongi." "Thank you, towel humen de dijiye, hum uss taraf ja rahe hain toh hum towel Maan ko khud dedenge, waise bhi kafi dino se na hamari unse baat hui hai aur na unse milna, shayad ishe bahane woh humse milenge toh sahi".
As I reach the pool, I am about to call out to Geet, when I am greeted by one of the most beautiful sights in my life. Stopping my self short, I slide behind one the columns on the opposite side of where they are standing, so as not to stop them. They are standing there in each other arms, and the smiles on their faces only reflect their hearts and their vulnerable emotions. For a moment, I allow myself to be supported by the column and send a silent thanks to God for showing me this, whatever else was wrong, This was the reason for everything Good, this love, and she would never give up the first touches of love to touch this house in many years, to burn in the flames of Naintara's ambitions. Moving back a few steps to allow them these moments, she smiles and only wishes that she has a camera but knows that this was too private and meant only for the eyes of those blessed to see it.
After a few moments, I reluctantly decide to intervene. I don't know how, but it seemed that Geet and Maan were both wet, and with Geet in a saree and Maan without his shirt, I did not want them to catch a Gold. Moving back, so that I was near the French door opening to the pool, I finally call out for Geet. "Geet beta, beta, aap kahan hai. Yeh ladki bhi na, bina bataye kahan chali gayi, ushe to ghar ka sara rasta bhi nahi pata abhi" Hearing my voice and my approaching steps, they quickly let go of each other and after staring at each other for a moments, he moves away quickly before I can see him and movies into the shadow behind one of the columns surround the pool. "Mera baccha, shermagaya", Hiding my laughter, I reach towards Geet and stand in front of her with my back facing Maan. I don't think I could hide my happiness and laughter if I was to catch a glimpse of him. "Geet beta, aap yahan hai…aur yeh kya aap ghele kaise……yeh ligiye towel pakadiye……(taking the top towel she starts rubbing her arms and hair, to dry it)…..yeh toh aacha hua ke humare pas towel hain…..Geet, baccha kya hua…aap laal kyun ho rahi hain, aap apne zyada khyal kijiye…..chaliye aab…beta, hum aap se ghusse nahi hain aap hume dekh sakti hain, humar shoulder pe kyun dekh rahi hain…..chaliye aab, aap ko jald se jald kapde badalne chahiye". As I am speaking, it is with all my will, I don't ask her why she is silently looking over my shoulder and seemingly gesturing quietly, keeping my amusement drawn, it is only when I utter the final sentence and place an arm on her back to lead her inside, do I finally gain her attention. I don't question her lack of response Nor do I ask her why she places the towels in her hand on the lounge chair, before briefly looking back and then continuing to walk with me.

AWESOME SWEETY!

Great as usual! Dadi's POV is refreshing! LOL at Geet making those gestures and Dadi noticing. She was trying to contain her laughter awwwww.....

And than she thought, mera bacha sharmagaya . . .

I CRACKED UP LOLZZZ 😆 Maan the tantrum throwing, angry bacha!
