CHAPTER 21

The next morning Mann calls me in his office to discuss 'our' plans for Pinky and Adi.

"Geet I think we should sent them to Goa together, tell them that a project has come up which requires both of them", he says.

Goa.WOW.How romantic!

"But what is the guarantee that they would they will confess their feelings for each other?"I point out.

"Yeah about that, well we will go with them ", He says nonchalantly.

"Wh...."I start but he interrupts me.

"Geet, as you yourself pointed out, there is no guarantee that they will confess, we have to guide them, we will leave them together, stand in the shadows and let the chips fall into place. Please think about it and let me know.

"When?"I ask.

"Um' let me know till the evening", he says.

"No, I mean when do we leave?"I say correcting his misconception.

I can see that he is surprised by my answer but he quickly hides it and says "Wednesday"

"Wednesday?" I repeat. Today was Monday.

"The sooner the better ",he says and smiles.

I can't help it I smile back.

CHAPTER 22

I stare at my laptop,trying to find my concentration but my thoughts are occupied by Geet.We were going to Goa,I still can't believe she has agreed.

I can't even scold Tasha who has not taken one word of my dictation,she seems surprised that I haven't shouted at her but I can't muster enough anger for that.I shrug and ask her to leave.

I look through the glass wall at Geet, she was arguing with someone, I could not hear her but I knew that expression too well since most of the time it was directed towards me. I ease back on my chair to see Sasha standing in the middle of Geet's cabin blabbering about something, Geet interrupts her, gesturing wildly with her hands and says something which makes Sasha turn around on her heels and walk out. Geet sticks out her tongue as soon as Sasha turns and I smile at her antics. As if sensing my stare she looks up and a smile crosses her face.

I hold my breath and desperately try to find my balance. They should arrest her for having that smile, it could cause traffic, it could break hearts and it could make me mad, mad from my longings.

CHAPTER 23

Sasha comes in my cabin without knocking and says"What's up with you and Mann? People are talking."

"Yeah, well people have empty, squalid lives." I reply

"Geet,I have been watching you for the past two days,you are purposely throwing your self from Mann,stop doing it",she says.

"Or else what will you do?"I ask innocently

"Stay away from him Geet,I am telling you this for your own good."she warns.

"I can take care of myself,but thanks for worrying",I say not thankful at all.

She stalks out of the room then and I stick out my tongue at her.I turn around to see Mann staring at me and I pass him an embarrassed smile.

CHAPTER 24.

I settle back on my bed and smile in anticipation,it wasn't so much about going to Goa but about going with Mann himself.

Mann was beautiful,inside-out.I could see that now.He wanted to help Pinky and Adi,without any selfish motive behind it and somehow he had involved me in it.Maybe becuse Pinky was my best friend.

The more I get to know about Mann the more I like him,the more he surprises me.He was nothing like what I had initially figured it out to be.He may like to show the world that he is a dusht danav, but it is not so.

I realize now that Mann was not so easy to figure out as I had once believed,I couldn't draw a map about him because I didn't know all the places,and I am surprised to know that I want to know all the places.
