LafzMayank, Nupur and maa reached the hospital ... on the way, Mayank had already called Dr. Singh and told him that he was bringing maa ... Dr. Singh was ready with all his stuff and the stretcher was ready too .... Maa was immediately taken to ICU ... Nupur was holding her hand until doctor told her to wait outside ....
Nupur (sobbing) - Maa ...
Mayank was controlling all his emotions and was preparing to face maa .... Both were standing next to each other and looking at the door of the ICU .... Nupur's tears were not stopping while Mayank's face had no expression on it ..... Dr. Singh put syringe in maa's hand ... Nupur couldn't see it and in an impulse reaction she touched her forehead on his shoulder ... her tears rolled down on his shirt ... he could feel his shirt getting wait ...
Nupur - Maa ko theek kar do .....
Mayank - Nupur, humein apne aap ko sambhalna hoga ... hum maa ke saamne toot nahi sakte ... humein unki taakat banna hai ... apne aansuon ko chupana hoga ... is aakhri waqt mein main maa ki saari khwaishein poori karna chaahta hun ... unhe har khushi dena chaahta hun ... unhe nishchint dekhna chaahta hun ....
Nupur pulled herself and wiped her tears ...
Nupur - Aap sahi keh rahe hai .... par main maa ko aise nahi dekh sakti ....
Mayank - Sambhaalo apne aap ko ....
At night maa finally gained consciousness .... Mayank and Nupur rushed inside ... Nupur stood at the door as her feet gave up ... she could not see maa like that ... Mayank quietly pulled the stool and sat right next to her ....
Maa (trying to smile) - Mayuu ...
Nupur turned around ..... she didn't want to face what was coming ....
Mayank - Maa, Mayank ....
Maa - Pata hai, pata hai .... ab sach bol, kya hua hai?
Mayank (sighed) - Maa ... (he knew the time had come) leukemia ...
Maa - Aur kitna waqt bacha hai mere paas (still smiling) ...
Nupur could not bear it ...
Nupur - Maa ...
She came on the opposite side and pulled the stool; sat right next to her .. and held her hand ...
Nupur - Aise bolna zaroori hai kya?
Maa - Beta, sach ko accept karle .... tu to meri strong bachchi hai na ....
Nupur didn't say anything and softly kissed her hand ....
Mayank - 5 mahine .....
Mayank got up and stood facing his back towards them .....
Maa - Meri ek ichcha poori karoge?
Nupur immediately looked towards maa, Mayank turned to see her once ... he knew what she wanted and turned around again ... Maa understood that he knew what she wanted ... she looked towards Nupur ....
Maa - Beta, kya tujhe mujh par bharosa hai?
Nupur - Haan maa ... khud se bhi zyada ...
Maa - Kya maine tere liye kabhi bhi galat faisla liya hai ya kabhi lungi?
Nupur - Nahi maa ... kabhi nahi .... par aap aisi baatein kyun kar rahi hai ...
Maa - To kya tu meri baat maanegi?
Nupur - Maa ye koi poochne ki baat hai, maine kabhi aapki koi baat taali hai?
Maa - Nahi ...
Nupur - Kya baat hai maa?
Maa - Maanegi meri baat, banegi meri bahu?
Nupur could not utter a word .... Mayank shut his eyes as he heard maa ...
Maa - Main tum dono ko akela nahi chodna chaahti ... aur main jaanti hun ki tum dono ek dusre ka sahara banoge ..... main tum dono ko khush dekhna chaahti hun aur tum dono saath khush rahoge ... main jaanti hun .... bas meri ye ek ichcha poori kar do ... phir main nishchint hokar is duniya se vida lungi ...
On an impulse, Nupur kept her hand on maa's mouth and Mayank turned around .... he slowly came back and sat near her ...
Maa - Tum dono shaadi karlo .... meri khaatir .... meri aakhri khwaaish samajhlo ...
Nupur remembered what Mayank said outside ... her whole life came as a flash in front of her ... she owed her life to maa, couldn't she do this much for her ... after all, she won't take a wrong decision for her ....
Mayank knew that her happiness was in seeing him married to the girl of her choice ... what was wrong in it? All her life she fulfilled all his wishes couldn't he fulfill her one wish ....
Both - Haan, hum shaadi karenge ...
Both looked at each other for a fraction of second, both knew why were they doing this ... they again looked at Maa ... both were holding her hands .... she had a huge smile on her face and tears in her eyes ....
Mayank - Aap ab aaraam karo ... kal aapko discharge mil jaayega ....
Nupur - Main aaj raat yahin par ruk jaati hun ....
Maa - Nahi beta, Mayank hai na ... aur waise bhi tujhe kal school jaana hai ... exams hain na aur tujhe duty mili hai ... tu Aangan ja ...
Nupur - Par ...
Maa - Maa ki baat nahi maanegi ...
Nupur gave a faint smile and reluctantly left her hand ....
Maa - Mayank, tu ise chod ke aaja ... raat bahut ho gayi hai .... akele kaise jaayegi ... (she wanted both of them to talk to each other)
Nupur - Nahi maa, main chali jaaungi .... aapke paas koi tohona chaahiye ...
Mayank - Doctors hai aur waise bhi Aangan zyada door nahi hai ... raat bahut ho chuki hai, paidal jaana safe nahi hai aur auto milne ke koi chances nahi hai ...
Nupur didn't utter a single word after that ....
Both sat in the car, both of them were feeling very uncomfortable .... awkwardness was there in the air ... silence flowed between them ... they had nothing to say to each other ... soon they reached the Aangan ... Nupur quietly moved out ...
Nupur (softly) - Good night, bye ...
Mayank - Good night, bye ....
She walked towards the gate as he reversed the car and left for the hospital ......
