Second part

She requested me to have a coffee along with her and I do agree. We bought 2 coffees and started drinking. She asked me 'Are you travelling alone?' 'Yes' I replied. I asked her the same and wanted her to say 'Yes'. As I expected the reply was 'Yes, I m also travelling alone'. No words to express my happiness and I can hear an old Hindi song running through my mind. 8 hours passed. Its 8 in the night and still we have to travel together for another 21 to 23 hours. I can see people getting ready for sleep. I noticed a lady feeding her baby and the baby refused to eat the food. The lady is telling to her baby, 'Eat properly else I will hand over you to that stranger (by pointing her hands towards me)'. On hearing that she started smiling, it was a hidden silent smile. I liked that.

Sometime later she told me that she is feeling hungry and she wanted to have her dinner. She asked me, 'Have you brought your dinner?' I said 'No, I didn't'. She asked me 'why'? 'I don't have the habit of having food during my train journey as I vomit badly and hence consume only liquid foods' I replied. I asked her 'Did you bring your food?' she replied 'No'. So she planned to get food in train and have her dinner. We waited for some time for the person who sells the meals to come. The person came, but he said that only non-veg biriyani is available. I asked her 'shall I get this for you?' she replied that 'Biriyani at night will be heavy for her and need something lite'. So we both planned to get food when train stops in the next station. But don't know when the next station will come as this route is different one. I asked one of the person nearby 'when will the next station come?' He replied 'It will take another 1 hour' Already its 8.30 and 1 hour from now it will be 9.30.

What to do now? How to pass 1 hour? Most of the lights were switched off. Most of the people are half asleep. She asked me, 'shall we go and stand near the door for some time. I am feeling little tired?' I said 'ok'. We both got up from our place and walked towards the door. I can see all the windows closed and can hear the loud roaring sound of the wind. She asked me to open the door. But I refused as it is raining heavily outside. We both just stood there for 5 minutes near the door. Only 1 or 2 lights were on. The stars in her white dress were shining. She was looking so beautiful.

After some time I asked her 'Are you taking anything for your parents as you are going home after 7 months?' She replied 'Yes' with a beautiful smile. 'May I know what it is?' I asked. Saree for my mother, dhoti for my father, t-shirt for my brother and one more special gift. Special gift, what is that, shouldn't you tell me? I asked. Sure, but later (with a beautiful smile). She asked me 'Am I taking anything to my parents?'. I said 'No'. I felt like something disturbing me. I desperately wanted to know for whom the wrist watch is, for brother (no, not possible as she has taken t-shirt for him) who else? Shall I ask her or not? What is wrong in asking? But if she mistakes me then she may not talk with me. We need to travel for another 20 hours, so better don't ask her. But why she has to mistake me. I decided to ask her.

'Shall we go to our place' she asked. 'Hmm, yeah sure, we shall' She started walking towards the seat and I was following her. I called her by name. 'Yes' she replied. 'Shall I ask you one thing if u don't mind?' Sure, ask. 'May I know for whom you are taking the wrist watch?' She replied 'For whom is suspense but it is an engagement gift'. Engagement?????????????. The train stopped in the next station.
