Riddhima tossed the duvet off her and slipping her feet into fluffy bunny slippers, she rushed downstairs to the kitchen when her mum was busy humming a song while cooking.

"aaaa mum, I need to talk to you" Riddhima asked politely while slightly blocking her ears by her fingers.

'bas god ab yeh aawaz nahi sahi jaati. Aap mummy ko budhi (brains) dona ki unke sar par se yeh 'indian idol' ka bhoot nikal jaaye. Man since those Indian idol people has decided to do auditions in U.K. as well, my mum has gone bonkers about it. "muje bhi jaana hai, muje bhi jaana hai" laga rakha hai. "mummy mein aapse baat karrahi hoon aur aap hai ki gala phaad kar gaye hi jaa rahe ho". Riddhima filled her glass with juice.

"kya mein gala phaadkar gaati hoon? Huh? Is ghar mein meri awaaz ko koi importance nahi deta varna mein aaj sunidhi chauhaan hoti" ridzy chocked on her juice.

"aaaa ha ha mum hum jaayenge na auditions mein par right now help me na. plz."

'ab mummy kya bhik (beg) mangvayegi meri baat sunne ke liye. Uff god thoda to mother material daal te meri mummy mein *sigh* sab muje hi karna pad ta hai'

'ab aaya na uth (camel) pahadh ke niche. Hehehe.'

"actually mum kal raat ko muje na bohot ajeeb sapna aaya tha. You know like ek ghost aati hai aur muje kehti hai that I am reincarnated and stuff. To be honest, mein yeh saari baat bhool bhi jaati, par yeh mangalsutra mere'." Riddhima's mum interrupted her.

"mangalsutra? Kaha mein subah se dhoondh rahi thi. Mera mangalsutra kahi ghoom gaya. Raat ko to dressing table par rakha tha aur subah nahi tha"

"really mum?"

'YAAR ab iska kya matlab hua ki yeh mangalsutra mummy ka hai. Phir yeh mere haath mein kaise aaya. OH SH*T!!!!! did I sleepwalked again last night? Man why does all the weird things in the happened are destined to happen to me only. NOT FAIR GOD!!!!'

"Riddhima kahi tu kal raat phir se to nind mein chali to nahi thi?" padma asked while cocking her eyebrows.

"aaa ab muje kaise pata hoga mum? Shayad mein chali thi. hehehe" Riddhima said meekily while giggling a bit thinking how scared she got seeing that mangalsutra in her hands in the morning.

'God tussi great ho! Mein to khamakha hi darr rahi thi. So that means that it was just a coincidence that I was having a dream bout mangalsutra and I sleepwalked at the same time. PHEW. Meri to jaan hi nikal gayi thi.'

"uhmm Riddhima you were saying something about your dream?"

"nothing special mum. Now everything is sorted. Thanks for helping. MUAH" ridzy gleefully kissed padma on her cheeks and ran to her room.

"paagal ladki meine kya help ki? Oh well let's get back to work" after saying that, padma went back to her singing.

IN THE EVENING.

'Oh my god!!! ridzy girl it's your first day of job or should I say war and you haven't even decided anything. Uhmm what shall I wear? Man I can't even wear my shorts and stuff. Last time baldy warned me during interview to wear something casual next time. Ohk so yeh pehenti hoo. Par thoda bada nahi hai. I mean it comes up till my knees. Oh well you'll attract less pervs for the day.'

Riddhima was getting ready when her cell phone buzzed and after reading the caller's name a smile appeared on her face.

"hello muskaan. Hows u babes? Pata hai it's ma first day of job and I am looking hottt yaar."

"pata hai. Padma aunty told my mum that you got the job. Ab muje bhi dusre logo se pata chalta hai meri best friend ki life ke baare mein" Riddhima bit her tongue thinking 'how can you forget to inform her dork.'

"sorry na muski. Actually I was hell busy and it completely slipped out of my mind."

"chal maaf kiya. Hey kal se college start ho rahi!!!! Wow man I am hell excited. Waise I hope ki tune biology assignment finish kar liya jo har fresher ko enrolment day par mila tha."

"OH SHIT SHIT SHIT. Muski I completely forgot about that f**king assignment. Now what will happen? First day ko hi meri izzat paani mein mil jayegi. Man I thanks for reminding me. I'll do something about it. Waise bhi I am getting late aur agar ek minute bhi late hogai na to vo armaan ka baccha ek moka nahi chodega muje taana maar ne ka"

"oooh armaan. Who's he? Huh? Is he hot?" ridzy slapped her forehead thinking why did she even mention armaan's name in front of her paagal friend.

"bye muskaan. I'll talk to you tommo morning. See ya"

'oh god yeh muskaan bhi na. uhmm par armaan hot to hai na? ha yaar and not only hot but smoking hot yaar. ARGH ridzy plz atleast tu to us kamine ki taarif mat kar varna his bloated ego will reach new heights. Ya now just concentrate on your work.'

Riddhima shoved her biology book in her office bag and was about to leave for office when her mum stopped her.

"aree Riddhima beta yeh le. Dahi kha kar jaa, tera pura din bohot acha jaayega." With that padma shoved the spoonful of yogurt in her mouth before she even protests.

"ARGH mum!!!! How many times did I tell you that I don't like the taste of pure yogurt. Why don't you try strawberry one. Man it tastes heavenly. Acha bye now, I am getting late"

OUTSIDE MALLIK EMPIRE

'ok god, so where shall I start from? Uhmm from the starting you goof. Ohk, so god plz meri office valo ki mujse raksha karna. Make sure I don't kill anybody when I am angry and especially keep that dog armaan as away from me as possible. Ok god varna agar meine use maar dala na then don't complain. Vaise bhi dharti(earth) par burden hai.'

KNOCK KNOCK

"come in" armaan's husky voice left her in daze.

' aww kya aawaz hai? Dil kar raha hai apne I-POD par iski aawaz download kar ke din bhar sunti hi jaao.hmmm. SHUT UP ridzy, tu phir se apne resolution par se hatt gayi. I know for you resolutions are meant to be broken but girl not this one.' Riddhima slightly opened the door and poked her head in to see a spacious and beautifully decorated modern cabin.

"WOW" she said loudly not realising that armaan was listening to her.

"uhmm miss Riddhima if you have finished checking out my cabin, then shall we proceed?" armaan asked grinning.

"oh oh ya ya" Riddhima was caught off guard by him.

'only one word you Riddhima my dear-FOOLISH.'

"good evening SIR" Riddhima wished him by pressuring on the word 'sir' reminding him that she still haven't forgotten about it and he'll soon regret about it as well.

'oh so Riddhima is getting all formal eh? Ok so miss gupta lets play your way. Hehehe this is gonna be a fun ride.'

"Ah miss gupta you're on time. Did the sun rose from the west today?" armaan said grinning.

'kamina! Ek to time par aayi aur upar se sarcasm dikhata hai. Huh! What else can I expect from this jaanwar'

"no sir the sun rose from its normal direction just as it is normal for me to be punctual. Well how come you are so shocked to see me on time? I guess you have very impuntual workers in your office." Riddhima said with a big smirk mentally patting herself for a nice saucy reply she threw back at him.

Armaan on the other hand was shocked to the core while his jaw reached his knee thinking ' MAN she has such a sharp tongue. I mean she didn't even take a second to think of that for that reply. Hmm ab aayega mazaa.'

"sir if we done with formal introduction, then shall we start our work?"

"ya lets start. ok that's your cabin right behind that glass wall and in front of my desk, so I can keep an eye on you. Now go settle your stuff in and come with the project plans. We need to discuss" armaan said authoritively while Riddhima frowned.

'what does he means by ' so I can keep an eye on you'? chor samaj kar rakha hai kya. Khota.'

Riddhima stormed into her cabin and settled on the comfy leather chair.

"hmm waise khadoos ka taste acha hai haina? Maanna padega he gave me a nice cabin. Muje to laga tha ki he'll give me some old tatty cabin aur mein to speech bhi yaad kar ke aayi thi about human rights and blah blah, but now no need for the speech, so ridzy legs get to work dear.

Armaan on the other side was laughing inwardly by seeing her expression from the glass wall in front of him.

'man she has got the most expressive face. Right now she frowning and now she is all happy. But still dude don't forget what a wicked witch lives behind that pretty face.'

AFTER 2 HOURS

"oi ma meri kamar! Aah is armaan ke bacche ne to meri ek hi din mein haalat kharab kar di. OH SHI*T I completely forgot about the biology assignment." Riddhima said to herself. She quickly pulled out her books and started doing it.

'Man! this is well hard. 'what is the function of the ribosome in the cell?' huh? Ab muje kya pata ki ribosome kya karta hai cells mein. Yeh to sirf ribosome hi jaane. Uff! Why I never brought my revision guide with me? Ab kya karu? YES IDEA! Armaan ko poonchti hoo. Waise bhi intelligent lagta hai. Ha mujse jyaada nahi hoga par oh well musibat mein to gadhe ko bhi baap banana padta hai' Then Riddhima dialled armaan's number from her office.

When armaan saw riddhima's cabin number on his intercom, he looked at her puzzled through glass window and Riddhima just waved telling him to pick up the phone. Armaan just shook his head thinking 'now what else is coming up god?' and picked up the phone.

"EElllooooo armaan. So whats up? Hows life eh? Sab kuch bhala changa?"

"shut up Riddhima. Did you call me to know hows my life when I am sitting right in front of you," armaan asked banging his head in his palm thinking 'oh god meine kya kiya tha jo aap mere saath aisa kar rahe ho hah?'

"no sir, I didn't call you for that reason. Actually I wanted to ask that uhmm 'what is the function of the ribosome in the cell?"

'yaar he is such a goof. He thought I wasted my sweet voice to ask him hows his life? I mean like common who cares hows his life! Well I don't. courtesy ke baare mein khote ne suna hi nahi hoga. God kaisa boss diya hai?'

"WHAT?" armaan shouted not believing his ears.

"behre (deaf) ho kya? Ek baar mein sunnai nahi deta? Uff you know na I don't like repeating myself. Kk but only for you my cuchi coo I'll myself'" armaan abruptly interrupts her.

"break maar. And what is this chuchi coo? And madam I did hear your question."

"to phir 'what' bolna kya hobby hai tumhari?"

"WHAT THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOUR ARE DOING RIDDHIMA?" armaan screamed on the phone.

"aaaa doing my biology homework. It's my deadline tomorrow you see." Riddhima said coolly.

"WHAT? Doing biology homework in MY office"

"uff ' YES MR. ARMAAN' how many times do you want me repeat the same thing. Pata hai answer to bolo warna time mat waste karo"

"keep the phone down. I am coming to your cabin."

"NO" beeeppppp beepppppp.
