Chapter - 6 ❤️

Mayank told Nupur about the proposal thingy that evening.

"Nupur . . is album mein dekh ke ek ring choose karna." Mayank aksed her as he sat beside her on the bed. 😊

"This one." She picked a ring with a single diamond on top in silver. 😕

No one except could feel the kinda pain she was going through then. 😔

"Thanks janeman . . main bhi yehi soch raha tha." Mayank hugged her and left.

Next day, Mayank, Uday, Nupur and Gunjan went to a pub. Nupur sat aside with her book. IMAGINE . . itne shor mein . . she was reading a NOVEL!

"Oye bookworm . . tu yaha bhi shuru ho gayi?" Mayank said and sat near her.

"Maine kya kiya?" she asked. 😲

"Ye . . yahan pe you're reading a book! And your bestie is needful of a kandha toh cry on." 😔

"What for?"

"Em nervous, u know."

"Tu nervousness k maare rota hai?" 😆

"Haan, kyun? Main toh almost har baat pe rota hun!" 😛

"Ya Ya, I know. Jaa, I lend you my kandha." 😆

"How does he manage to charm me with such SILLY things?" she thought. 😳

Mayank went to the DF with Gunjan while Uday came and sat next to her . .

"Waah behena . . tu toh aajkal Gunjan ke jaise kapde pehene lagi hai." 😆

"Arey nahi . . aajkal maine apne jaise kapde pehene chood diye hain. Actually mujhmein khud jaisi koi baat hi nahi rahi ab." 😔

She was almost in tears.

"Na na . . no, ab yahan mat shuru ho jana. Nahi toh tu mere kandhe pe royegi aur yahan ki sab girls ko lagega ki main booked hun." 😛

They broke into laughter.

Finally, Mayank proposed Gunjan. 😕 He knelt down and did the typical propose karne wali thingy. 😆 Nupur was left shattered . . she felt as if she was left cut in pieces. all her bones were broken and her aching heart was left broken in uncountable fragments. 😔

"Will you be by my side forever?" Mayank asked Gunjan.

"Yeah, I will." 😳

He placed the ring in her finger, got up and huged her tight. The entire crowd cheered and clapped. 😊

But Nupur, she sat aside and got drunk. DRUNK! 😕

"Ye kya? Tune toh 25 Vodka k shots tika diye! 25!" Uday came up to her and shouted/ 😡

"Choodo na Bhai . . kya farak padta hai . . aise marna hai toh aise hi sahi." She was talli by then. 😆

"Ab isse pehle ki main Rajasthani mein bolna shuru kardun, better let me go." 😆

She went out with her car keys.

"God! No! Ab ye aisi halat mein drive kaise karegi!"

He rushed up to Mayank.

"Mayank . . Nupur's drunk. Wo drive karne k haal mein nahi hai lekin she's still wants to. Go, stop her. Me and Gunjan will follow."

"Ya . . Gawd! Ye kya naya kaarnama kiya hai Nupur ne." he said. 😕 He was really VERY tensed.

"Gawd, bhai ye Nupur na . . hum iski kitni kadar karte hain lekin humesha hum logoon ko hurt karti hai." Gunjan told Uday.

"Usne kya kiya tere saath?"

"Dekha nahi tune . . Mayank kitna tensed hai. Isliye main bhi hun and afterall, Nupur's a very very good friend of mine. I can't see her like this." 😕

Nupur was driving rashly . . 😕 Mayank was following her on his bike and meanwhile, Uday-Gunjan had too started following em but Nupur was lost somewhere else. She drived at a speed of 100 kmph. 😕

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM . . . her car bumped into a truck. 😕😕😕

The accident thankfully, took place near a nursing home only. 😕 The truck driver was injured though, the person sitting next to him was perfectly alright but Nupur, she had already lost a lot of blood. The front mirror of her car broke and hit her. 😕 Her forhead got hurt as well. 😕

Mayank, Uday and Gunjan took her to the nursing home immedieately.

She was shifted to the ICU.

Mayank was terribly crying. Even Gunjan couldn't console him.

"She's out of danger now. Though, she's not gonna stay the same for the next 5-6 hours." the doctor assured.

Mayank's happiness on hearing this knew no bounds. 😊 But he was still badly crying.

A couple of hours passed and now they were allowed to go and meet her, though she was still collapsed.

Mayank sat next to the patient bed, took Nupur's hand in his and kept on crying.

"Why do you always do this to me? One day, mind you . .I'd leave you forever. It's better than getting hurt cause of seeing you like THIS all the time, at least." He screamed out of frustration and immense sorrow. 😕

Nani and Dia arrived. Benjy was there too.

"Kya hua Nupur ko?" Nani asked Gunjan, terribly crying.

"Nani, Nupur ki car ka accident ho gaya. Par ab wo theek hai." Gunjan said, hugging her. She herself was crying. 😕

"Kaise? Wo toh ekdam acche se drive karti hai!"

"Nani . . wo actually . .use chad gayi thi." Uday said.

"Kya? Usne sharab pee?"

"Nahi Nani, kisi ne jaanke pila di."

"Accha . . why is all this happening to my child, kabhi suicide, kabhi accident." she said and broke down.

Dia was crying too. Benjy held her by her shoulders.

"Dia . . Di theek hain ab. Rona band kar." he said. 😊

Nupur came back to senses. She gained consiousness now. When opened her eyes, saw Mayank. Who had not got up from there since the last 4 hours . . holding her hand, crying his heart out. 😕

"Mayank . . " she said in a very weak voice and smiled. 😊 😕

"You know me?"

"I'm sorry re. Aise mat bol." 😕

"Sorry for what? Hurting yourself or hurting me?" 😡

"Both!" she said in disgrace. 😔

"Shut up!"

"I'm really very sorry!"

"Tujhe kisne kaha tha 25 vodka shota tikane ko? Pagal hai kya? You have no idea mera kya haal ho gaya tha. Absolutely no idea." 😔😔

"I'm sorry!" she said and stretched her arms . . she couldn't get up and therefore gestured Mayank to hug her.

He got up and hugged her tightly. 😔

"Dun you dare do that again." he said.
