We could come up with so many punishments but as i said embarrassment would cause lot of havoc to their account and then I dislike most of the mods coz they take no action, when my ff was Pgrized the mod wrote under review and its been months, whats there to review?

I think the problem occurs coz basically, no offense half the readers are not that well read and when the authors copy paste stuff i.e. published stuff they appreciate it while some readers like me, it clicks and we google or try to track down the source of the 'memory', see thats the thing, anyway Jot. i'm better off PMing you and if I do I'll post a copy in the thread here :)

About the voleenteer thing - remember everyone has and likes different stuff restricting the volenteers wont really help!

Beta readers is a great idea! It will increase the quality of work found on this forum!

I don't know whether it will happen in our lifetime though. Vijay really does not take much action or do many improvements when it comes to Fan Fiction...even though this is one of the biggest sections of the forum, and if it was removed then IF would be nothing.

I am not sure who should address this. Incomplete stories in the form.

My bad luck I started reading stories which were on going ... And then there was point when the writers just stop ... I Mean completely stopped updating their ff or SS.

I would request someone to remove these incomplete ff/SS ... If a ff is not updated in last x months.

Another ff strangers in New York is maked complete but there is no update after chap 6. Writer last promised to provide summary as the blog where he/she was updating ch 7 to 15 got deleted. But not updated yet. Can we mark this story as not completed. Or lost second half of chapters or something which will warn readers that they are not going to read the full story ever!...

^ I think there is already a rule based on which stories which haven't been updated in a while are closed down. I am not sure though.

But I think, there should be some way to indicate to the reader that the story is incomplete because in some cases writers don't even leave a note and disappear (whatever may be the reason)

Readers only want to be notified that the story hasn't been updated in a long time!

But hope they can remove such stories from the forum after say 6 months of last update... If not completed. 6 months hope are long enough for writer to come back from holiday, exam, home shifting and other important activities. Does it sounds reasonable?

Jot, please raise the issue of newbies with 0 posts on the forum.

I am tired of getting PMs from them asking to read my work on a blog, when it's obvious that they have had an account for ages and have silently stalked my work without even commenting once. But now when they fear that my work is on a blog and out of their reach they are finally letting go of their silence.

I really want such members removed.
