Nupur was lying on her bed thinking about their performance …...
It was so magical,beautiful,heavenly ….Mayank kitna acha hai …..usski waja se hamari performance itni achi hui…..as she was thinking about him his face flashed in front of her eyes ….his smile & those cute dimples were so adorable …& his honey brown eyes had something which always made her look at him again……she closed her eyes….. she could see him again….
mere bare mein hi soch rahi ho na…..he said with a cute smile on his face she quickly opened her eyes & looked around ……
Pagal … kya soch rahi thi …..she hit her head hard …… & then with some unknown sweet lovely feelings she dozed off to sleep
Next day at college
Nupur entered the college gate a big smile on her face & her eyes searching for only one person who made her happy she felt all her miseries vanish when he was around…he made her feel special..…
N-Mayank kyu nahi dikhra…..shayad class mein hoga
Nupur tu bhi kya bol rahi hai wo kabhi class ko jata hai ….shayad ayaa nahi abhi tak koi baat nahi lunch mai mil lungi……she said as she proceeded towards her own class
She didn't know why but in the class she was not able to concentrate
After the class she went to the canteen but she didn't find Mayank anywhere though the rest of the gang was sitting there ….
Dia noticed Nupur standing at the entrance & her eyes were searching someone she knew very well who it was …..she thought of teasing her……
D-aare Nupur aao na …..she called her
Nupur slowly went to the table where the rest of the gang was sitting
N-Hi…she said fiddling with the dupatta in her hand
D-baitho na …..
N-Wo…Mayank nai dikh raha …..
D-haan mai bhi wohi soch rahi hu …pata nai subha se kaha hai …mai abhi usse hi phone laga rahi thi …..waise tumhare paas uss ka number hai na agar tumhe uss se baat karne ka mann ho toh call kar lo….she gave a mischievous smile & nudged her shoulder
N-nai ….wo …..aisi koi baat nai hai…..mai toh bas aise hi….
D-relax Nupur ….shayad uss ka mood nai tha hoga aaj college aane ka…..
Tum kyu itna pareshan ho rahi ho …..she asked winking at Benji
N-nai wo mai ….mai kaha pareshan ho rahi thi ….mai toh mai tou…..mujhe library jana hai mai baad mein milti hu ......Bye …..she quickly got up & left

In the library
N- aise poochne ki kya zaroorat thi …kya soch rahi hogi Dia…. Tu na bilkul Pagal hai…..she said hitting the book on her head…..waise Mayank aaj ayaa kyu nai college…wo theek tou hoga na…..she was thinking about him again …..Offooo…..Concentrate Nupur Focus….she took a book from the shelf & sat down to read
After 5 minutes …kya karu usse call karu kya ? woh theek toh hoga na
Haan Nupur usse kya hona hai ….shayad Dia theek hi keh rahi thi uss ka mann nai tha hoga college aane ka … shayad sou raha hoga … Nupur tu usse call karke diturb mat kar…. mai nahi call karungi….
She was trying hard to read but was not able to pay attention…. kya Nupur tu peechle adhe ghate se ek hi page pe atki hai…..aisa tou kabhi nahi hua … yeh mujhe kya ho raha hai…. Kahin mai pagal tou nahi ho rahi…. Nahi nahi ek answer nahi hora iska matlab yeh tou nahi ke pagal ho rahi… Nupur tu bhi na…. phir mujhe kya ho raha hai… kyu kuch adhura sa lag raha hai… bas Nupur bas… kuch mat soch sirf economics aur theories per dhayaan de…… kuch adhura nahi lag raha hai sab kuch theek hai… she started turning the pages.. but then remembered the first time she hugged Mayank in the library the way he consoled she felt so comfortable in his arms…. & then he helped her out…
Nupur closed the book with full force… yeh jaga hi theek nahi hai…pata nahi aaj library ko kya hogaya ..
She took her books and walked out of the library….
As she was walking in the corridor …..Dia & gang came to her
Congrats !!!! Nupur…they shouted & Dia hugged her… Nupur was confused ..
N- kya hua Dia?? …… she asked breaking he hug
D- kya hua???? God tumhe nahi pata …. You & Mayank won the best singer award….
N-Sachiiiiiiii .. she jumped with joy….
D- I wish Mayank college aaya hota we could have celebrated…
Nupur's excitement vanished there was no use of being happy without the person who was the reason for the success
N-Thanks Dia…
D-thanks wanks kuch nahi we need a party..
Nupur smiled…
D-ok you call up & tell Mayank about it we have to go now..
N-haan ok….
Nupur called him up…the Number you are calling is unavailable
N-By God … yeh phone ko kya hogaya….. thodi dair se try karti hu…
The classes were over so she returned home she was messed up with thoughts… she went & took a hot shower to calm herself
After the shower Nupur decided to call Mayank for one last time
N-ek akhri baar call kar leti hu…the number you are calling is un available..
she got frustrated & threw her cell on the sofa & went in her room & dropped herself on the bed she didn't feel like doing anything the more she tried to divert her mind the more she was getting strange feelings for Mayank…… twisting & turning in bed she dosed off to sleep
Next morning she got up early… freshened up & went to the college wishing at least today she will get to see Mayank ….
She entered the gate but didn't find his car.. so obviously even he was not there she breathed slowly and walked towards the backyard this the place where Mayank used to sit & sing.. not many knew about it….now she was missing him like hell..
She remembered how caring he was during the rehearsals he always made her comfortable they could be termed as best friends ….
And now he didn't even bother to call her up & tell her where he is…????
N-nupur tu kyu itna soch rahihai wo kahin busy hoga tab college aayega tou mil lena….
The following day was same boring for her during break she went and sat with dia & group but was lost somewhere…..she was getting pissed off as why she is feeling so lonely just bcoz she didn't see him for 2 days why she was so restless......
Two days passed without any news from Mayank third day at college....
It was free period in the morning so Nupur was walking towards the library.. when suddenly a pleasant wind touched her face…. she felt something familiar in it…..as if the breeze around was singing a melody & she knew every string of it….which made her heart stir
She turned around & found it was Mayank as soon as she saw him she ran like anything towards him even Mayank was desperate to see her he wanted to hug her hold her in his arms & tell how much he missed her
Nupur was about to jump in his arms but stopped .. .. on the other hand Mayank who had almost opened his arms to take her into it dropped them back… & stopped himself.. both were confused with their action…
Nupur are you mad you were about to hug him what will he think … idiot stupid… control
Mayank thank god I didn't hug her what if she would slap me
Mayank tera dimag kharab ho gaya..Agar usse pata chal gaya tu usse pyaar karta hai phir tou tujhe uski dosti bhi naseeb nahi hogi hai thoda normal behave kar
In order to remove the uneasiness of the situation … he spoke first
M- Hi Nupur kaisi ho…??
N-Hi mai theek hoon tum kaise ho aur kaha the itne din se na ek call na ek message tumhe pata hai mai kitni…. she paused
M- tum kitni kya Nupur…. he was glad to know that she missed him
N-mera matlab mai kitni … kitni.. she stammered & was finding for words…
D-lonely feel kar rahi thi right…
Both mayank nupur turned & saw it was Dia Nupurs cheek's flushed…
N-nai hum sab ne tumhe miss kiya… waise congrats hum music competition jeet gaye hai . …
M-Wow…. yeh tou jetna hi tha tum jo thi mere sath …
He said bending towards Nupur .. which made her blush even more…
D- Acha Mayank yeh tou batao tum teen din se thai kaha….
M-wo bas kuch nahi…
Nupur observed the change in his tone & his expression she was sure something was troubling him…
D-bolna Mayank…
M-aare bola na kuch nahi… ab canteen chalo…
D-ok… she said making a face..
They walked towards the canteen…
Nupur wanted to ask him whats the matter but then she thought he is no mood to share it with anyone….
In the evening after college
Mayank & Nupur were walking through the corridor
M-chalo Nupur mai tumhe ghar drop kar deta hu
N-haan theek hai
M-kya baat hai aaj itni jaldi maan gayi ….he said looking at her
N-haan wo….she just smiled
N-hmm….ek baat puchu
M-haan pucho na
N-subha tum kuch pareshaan lag rahe the koi problem hai kya
M-aa..nai aisi koi baat nai hai
Nupur felt a bit disappointed as he didn't want to share his problem with her....
In the car
Nupur was looking out of the window when she observed it was not the way to her house…
N-Mayank yeh tum kaha ja rahe hai hume tou right lena tha na…..
M-jaanta hu par mai tumhe kahin le jaana chata hu…
N-par kahan….
M-thodi dair mein pata chal jaye ga….
It was a long drive it took almost 2 hours till they reach the place…
N-offo Mayank tum mujhe batao ge bhi hum itni dair se kaha ja rahe hai…
Mayank parked the car…. he stepped down & opened the door for Nupur to come out….
M-tum janna chati thi na mai teen din se kaha tha….
Aao na …he said & let her in…. a huge board read Blue Cross Orphanage
It was a big school type building with grass and greenery around lots of swings for kids he went & sat on a bench & gestured her to sit too….Nupur sat beside him
M-Nupur yeh bohot purana orphanage hai lekin ab yaha kuch log ek mall banana chahte hai ….ussi case ke liye mai Delhi gaya tha ….iss liye pareshaan tha ….yeh orphanage meri life ka ek part hai …..mai isse jaane nai de sakta…ek final meeting hai I hope wo maan jaaye….he said with a frown
N-lekin tum iss orphanage ko..???
M-Jab mai 15 years ka tha tab mere parents alag ho gaye the ….Dad America chale gaye aur Mom London ….dad chahte the ki mai unn ke saath chalu aur mom chahti thi mai unn ke saath chalu…par mujhe itni samajh toh thi mai kisi ke saath nai gaya …..mera manna tha ki jab mere Mom Dad hi saath nai hai toh mera kisi ek ke saath rehne ka koi matlab nai hai….maine dono ko milane ki bohot koshish ki par wo apne hi irade se khush the….har mahina dono paisa bhejte hai jo mai yaha donate kar deta hu …inn bacho ke future ke liye…..inn bacho ke Maa baap nai hai per mere hote hue bhi nai hai ….as he said a lone tear escaped his eyes....
Nupur was touched hearing that ….she knew Mayank was a really nice guy but she never thought he had such a sad story behind….she felt really proud of him she placed her hand on his & squeezed it a little trying to console him.....
N-Mayank tum ek bohot ache insaan ho…tumhara dil bohot acha hai ….aur bhagwaan ache insaano ke saath kabhi bura nai karta ….. tum dekhna kuch nai hoga iss orphanage ko
M-Thanks Nupur ….chalo bas bohut ho gayi meri dastan… ab bache aate hi honge… Im telling you will love this kids...
N-acha… waise I love kids…
Soon a bunch of kids came out running towards him.. Mayank bhaiya… among them the first one was a small girl aged around 3-4 yrs … she jumped into mayanks arm ....he lifted her up in the air.. & twirled her around …
G-I missed you bhaiya…
M-I missed you too shona…
Another boy….
B-acha shona mil gayi tou aap hume bhool gaye…
Mayank bend down on his knees
M-I missed you too Rahul…I missed you all…he hugged them…then he gave chocolates to everyone
R-yeh kaun hai ….Rahul said pointing at Nupur who was standing there admiring Mayank & his love for the kids…..
M-yeh meri friend hai….
R-acha girlfriend…….he asked
It was so unexpected which left Mayank & Nupur startled
M-nai wo…bas friend hai
R-lekin yeh girl hai toh yeh aapki girlfriend hi hui na….he said raising his eyebrows
Nupur blushed slightly which didn't go unnoticed by Mayank
M-Rahul tu kuch zyada hi smart ban raha hai
R-wo toh mai hu…. Aur waise bhi iss se pehle kisi friend ko nai laaye yaha toh yeh aapki special friend hui na….as in girlfriend
Now Mayank was blushing….. haan special toh hai Nupur mere liye…mai pyaar jo karta hu uss se ….he thought
R-kidhar kho gaye kuch hua kya ??
M-wo….kuch nai …..
N-Rahul tum bohot achi baatein karte ho…aur tum bohot cute bhi ho….. she ruffled his hair & bend down & kissed his cheek….
R-haaye mai toh gaya…..he said falling on the ground Nupur laughed at it
M-tu bohot badmaash ho gaya hai….he hit him lightly on his back
S-you don't like me kya …..Shona said looking at Nupur
N-aww… its not like dat….even you are cute she picked her in her arms and kissed her
Shona- you are also cute…. she said pulling Nupur's cheek….
R-acha chalo we will play something….
N-no no you all play …
R& S –please di…….. they said making a puppy face…
Nupur couldn't deny those innocent faces she agreed…
R-what you all wanna play…
S-CATCH n CATCH……
N-soch lo mujhe koi nai pakad sakta
R-acha hum bhi kuch kam nahi …..he said raising his collar
The game started all the kids were trying to catch Nupur but she was too fast for them…..Mayank was standing at a distant & watching them playing
Soon everyone got tired & sat down ……
N-dekha maine kaha than a mujhe koi nai pakad sakta
R-galat Mayank Bhaiya aap ko pakad sakte
N-nai pakad sakte ….she said showing a thumbs down to him….
R-Mayank bhaiya kuch karo
M-galat panga le liye tum ne Nupur…..he said moving forward
Acha toh mujhe hara kar batao….she shouted & started running …Mayank ran behind her …..as she was running her dupatta flew away with the gushing wind & she was unaware of it
Mayank covered the distance between then in no time & caught her from behind & whirled her around in a circle as Nupur laughed out loudly "Caught You" he said & in a swift movement he twirled her around making her face him….both were breathing heavily …his arms were tightly wrapped around her waist & her hands were circled around his neck…they could hear each others heart beating madly..it was then they realized their proximity…. Mayank loosened his grip & moved his hands slowly which caressed her waist giving her goosebumps….Nupur was lost in the moment but then soon gained conscious & slowly retrieved her hands from his neck… there was an uncomfortable silence between them…. Mayank moved ahead.. he saw Nupur's dupatta lying on the ground..he picked it & handed over to her without looking at her…. Nupur just whispered a Thankyou……
M-bohot late ho gayi Nupur I think ab humein chalna chahiye…..Nupur just nodded her head…..
They bid goodbye to the children & left
Rest of the way they didn't talk much…..Mayank dropped Nupur home
M-toh...kal college mein milte hai
N-haan …bye
M-Bye
Nupur was about to get down from the car when she turned back
N-Mayank……
M-haan…..
N-Thanks tumne mere saath itna kuch share kiya … mujhe bohot acha laga bacho se milkar…. Aur tum tension mat lo sab theek ho jaayega…..
M-tum hi mera sab kuch ho Nupur tumhe nahi kahunga tou aur kise kahunga……he said in his mind ofcourse
