There was only faint lighting around with the candles that were burning all around the farmhouse as there was a power cut due to some power fluctuations.

Sam again like that day in d class as if in a trance walked towards her thinking nothing, & later they looked at each other 4 a while without a word, then he thought of this as his imagination & looked down shaking his head, he was about to walk away, when she held his hand & said ruko Samrat.

He was shocked: tum ' tum sach main yaha ho ' mujhe laga ' oh Chashmish & he were about to hug her but pulled back as she too was about to respond.

His face changed expressions & now he was angry: kyun gunjan yaha kyun aayi ho?

G: Samrat pls I am sorry

He just removed the hand she held him with from his own & started to walk away, but she walked right beside him & stood in front of him holding his arms

G: Samrat, pls, pls meri baat suno, tumne promise kiya tha mujhe ki tum meri baat sune bina mujhse naaraaz nahi hoge

S: maine tumse koi promise nahi kiya gunjan, sirf apni Chashmish se kiya tha lekin woh tum nahi, meri Chashmish mujhe kabhi nahi chhod sakti aur na hi hurt kar sakti hai

G: par maine tumhe hurt kiya I m sorry par main tumse alag nahi ho saki

S: kyun hum toh alag hi hai na gunjan

He looked at her like he was somehow confused with what she's saying

S: par kya Chashmish? He made her look at him, by putting a finger under her chin as she was crying & looked down, his eyes were so full of pain & love at the same time she was overwhelmed & hugged him tight , he patted her to quiet down her sobs & then she spoke again as she could calm herself down

G: Samrat... main darr gayi thi jaise college main humme koi accept nahi kar raha tha lekin tumhare saath ne sab kuch easy kiya tha waise hi agar tumhari mom ko main pasand nahi aayi to?

Sirf tumhare liye agar unhone mujhe accept kiya par tumhari baki family ne agar humare rishta ko lekar kuch kaha tumhare relatives agar mujh jaisi seedhi saadhi middle class ghar ki ladki jisse bina chashmo ke thik se dikhta tak nahi usse pasand karne ke liye tumhara maazak udaya to ? Main nahi dekh sakoongi .... koi tumhe meri wajah se kuch kahe ......kyunki tum excel ke sabse popular student ho jisse koi bhi ladki na nahi kahegi usne mujhe pasand kiya hai .....

He couldn't believe it yet she was saying this... He shook his head

S: Chashmish kya hum dono ka pyar itna weak hai? Tum aisi cheezo se humme jinse koi farak nahi padta unhe leke humme alag karna chahti ho aur ye kya hai jo tum khud ke lekar bakwaas kar rahi ho

Mujhe dekh kar kaho kya tumhe lagta hai ki I regret having you? Silly girl u r d best thing that's happened to me in my life, Chashmish koi tumhara maazak kyun banayega aur agar kissi ko tumhari koi baat se problem hai toh mujhe uski koi zaroorat nahi, Chashmish u r d most beautiful girl I have ever met, aur main ye sirf isliye nahi keh raha kyunki tum meri life main ho par kyunki ye sach hai, I have never met anyone as beautiful as u, both inside out.

Aur meri mom tumhe kyun pasand nahi karengi ' Chashmish u r just like her... do u know that? Kehte hai na har ladka apni mom ke qualities ko aur har ladki apne dad ke qualities ko apne life partner main dhoondhte hai toh main ne bhi dhoondha hai... u r just as calm & patient like her, tumhari tarah mom bhi bahut hi understanding aur sweet hai... unhe bhi jhoot nahi pasand aur woh bhi tumhare hi tarah din bhar books leke padh sakti hai silly girl u remind me of her things so much, how can she not like u?

Hearing that gunjan was relieved, she was half smiling & crying at the same time

G: main darr main galti kar gayi Samrat ab aisa nahi hoga

S: na hi ho toh achha hai & they had a tight embrace.

As they were breaking the hug their faces were near each other, she had cried a lot so her cheeks were dampened with her tears, so instead of wiping 'em away, Samrat kissed her cheeks where there was still a trace of a tear, he then kissed her eyes & later her forehead.

They looked in each other's eyes 4 a moment &all was quiet & lost, she then closed her eyes again, not saying a word but letting him know what she wants & is willing now.

A few moments later, when he didn't react she opened up her eyes; she saw him staring at her & was now made to ask by her own feelings: kya hua Samrat? Tum ruk kyun Gaye?

He knew what she meant & so just asked her: tum hi toh chahti thi na ki kuch spl ho uske baad hi hum kiss kare, maine kuch spl nahi kiya Chashmish

G smiled: main maazak kar rahi thi tumhe pareshaan karne ke liye Samrat, tum se jyada mere liye koi spl nahi aur har moment tumhare saath spl hai mere liye, tumhe kuch karne ki zaroorat nahi

S smiled too now: really?

She nodded: really

S: par mujhe zaroorat hai Chashmish

She furrowed her bow as he pulled away a few steps & went down on his knees; he took her hand in his: Chashmish jo main tumse kehna chahta tha maine abhi keh diya aur mere paas shabd nahi tumhe ye batane ke liye how I feel about how u or how spl u r to me, bas itna kahoonga ki u make me happier than I ever thought I could be, I never imagined I would be so lucky to fall in love with my best friend.. Bas 1 sawal ab tumse poochna hai..........tumhare bauji ne hamare rishta ko kabul kiya hai par main tumse sunna chahta hoon Chashmish.......kya tum poori life mere saath rahoogi ........will u be mine forever? Will u marry me Chashmish?

She had tears again in her eyes but these were of sheer joy she just whispered a single word: yes at which the lights came that were down due to the power cut

later he took out a li'l box from his pocket, & she was just shocked' he opened it to reveal a solitaire ring of a huge rock, studded in d middle surrounded by li'l diamonds that made an elegant design & removed d ring from it & put it on her ring finger.

He rose & they hugged tightly again happiness in abundance in their eyes... Later the moment happened that unified their souls with a seal... Slowly he leaned in to place his lips on hers marking the moment in their minds forever... but suddenly there was a loud sound... a burst of crackers ...... in the chaos that had ensued in a few hours they had forgotten it was d 31^st of dec' & the clock struck 12:00 ringing in 2010' fireworks filled d sky with rainbow colors as had in morena when they confessed..........both smiled looking at the scenario.......Sam gently touched his forehead to hers & then moved in after a moment of looking in her eyes & again closing in on d left distance .......he felt their breaths unite...........placing his lips on hers & kissed her as she too reciprocated to him with sheer longing & love ' with this even the fates seemed to have blessed 'em
