Ohk...so without wasting your time and making you wait, here's the update of Mere saathi....
PART FOURTEEN
ONE DAY.............
Few officials were seen entering the Academy along with Lala Gehlot.
Lala had a evil grin on his face.
They straight-a-way went to Brigadier Chandok's cabin.
Soon Faculty meeting was called upon.
The meeting went on for about 4 hrs.
The cadets were having lunch in mess when there was an announcement.
" All the cadets are supposed to assemble within 10 min in the assembly hall ."
All of them were confused about what they were called for.
Soon all KMA faculty along with BC arrived accompanied by Lala and the officials.
Naina's blood boiled at the sight of Lala....She would have killed him then and there but Aalekh held her hand firmly....knowing very well what she must be going through at the sight of the Devil.
All the Faculty members were looking tensed and sad and frustrated.
BC....
well....BC's state was no different.
For the first time Cadets saw him standing with a stoop and not erect..... He seemed extremely sad and lost....
Lala took hold of the microphone.
" Cadets and Faculty members....
Mujhe aap sabko yeh batate hue bahot dukh ho raha hai.... Kanchanjunga Military Academy,jisse desh ki behtareen academy maana jaata tha aaj wahi academy apna reputation kho baithi hai. Hum maante hai ki academy ne hamare desh ko behtareen sipahi diye hai....par Naveen Singh Ahluwalia jaisa traitor bhi....."
Naina clenched her fists.
" Aur jo kuch Captain Shekhawat aur unke peeche iss academy ke cadets ne kiya woh......Isse yeh academy desh ke naujavano ke saamne kaunsa aadarsh pesh karna chahti hai?? Yaha admission lenewaalo ki quantity bhi kam ho gayi hai. Aur hamara maan na hai ke yeh Academy chalane mein desh ka paisa bekaar barbaad ho raha hai.....Aur issiliye KANCHANJUNGA MILITARY ACADEMY ko Shut down karne ka faisla Govt. ne liya hai."
All the cadets gasped....
Chitterlings broke out which intensified further....
Now the cadets were almost shouting...
" Yeh nahi hosakta!!"
" Hum hamari Academy bandh nahi hone denge...!"
KMA was their second home....
How can they tolerate this....
Lala and officials tried to get away from there but their path was blocked by the cadets.
Cadets were asking, requesting, threatening,pleading to stop this order.....
" Aap iss tarah Academy bandh nahi kar sakte Sir.", Naina stated.
" Hum zaroor kar sakte hai cadet! Ek military Academy chalane mein waste kar sake itna paisa nahi hai hamari country ke paas.", official replied.
" Haan kaisa hoga? Saala sab khud ke ghar mein jo bhar ke rakha hai!", Aalekh shouted.
The commotion was increasing....
Faculty members tried stopping it but failed.
Finally Lala put one offer.....
" Agar aap log 15 din mein KMA ki strength 30% se badha sakte ho toh....hum tumhari demand ke baare mein sochenge."
" Sir this is unfair....sirf 15 din...", BC intervened.
" Sorry Brigadier Chandokh.....It's 15 days.....or the academy is closed forever..."
And he left.
While BC collapsed.........

Brigadier Chandok's Blood pressure had shoot up abruptly.
It was all due to the awful news...
After an hour, shalini declared him out of danger....but he was not fit.
She made him leave for his residence to have some rest while all others were shocked and tensed about the turn of events.
That night nobody slept....
All of them were restless.
Everyone thinking hard of ways to save KMA....
Naina was thinking hard to gather some inner meaning of his....and surely she got it....
She became more tense and restless.....
No....this can't happen....
After reaching till here,she can't lose....
She needs to do something...or else....
She didnt want to think otherwise....
She has to do something.

Next day, the super six met in the Academy ground.
All had same question ....they need to save KMA, but How?
They were tensed and frustrated.
" Us Gehlot ne 15 din diye sirf. Hume nahi lagta kuch ho sakega....", Ali said sadly.
" Hame kuch karna HI hoga Ali....", Naina said cutting him , " Agar ye Academy bandh hogayi toh Bhaiya aur Sir ke begunahi ke saboot bhi daba diye jaayenge aur saath hi saath us Traitor ka naam bhi...Haan Gehlot ka naam aur uss ke khilaf saboot,sab daba deeye jaayenge.....jo najaane kitna nuksaan pohocha raha hai hamare desh ko."
All looked at her thoughtfully.
They need to do something.
Afterall...it's about their academy....their country!
Naina and friends were pondering over the strategy, when Gunny arrived.
Naina had started respecting Gunny since the Rescue Sameera Mission.
" Ustaad! ", Ali called out.
He smiled at them.
" Kya baat hai? Sab pareshaan lag rahe ho?"
" Pareshaani ki hi toh baat hai Sir.", Pooja said while Naina and others were looking at him in disbelief,seeing his cold behaviour.
Gunny smirked.
" Cadet, ek baat hamesha yaad rakhiye. Agar kisi kaam mein tum failure ka risk nahi uthana chahte toh usse thande dimaag se anjaam do....Just calm down first. Pareshaan rehkar you will only increase amount of blunders...."
Everyone was listening to him keenly.
" Pehle thande dimaag se strategy banao. Aur phir usspar kaam karo. Apne dushman ko yeh ehsaas mat hone do ki he has got an upper hand. Aur haan....ek baat yaad rakho. I'm always with you. hume iss KMA ko bachana hi hai!"
They all put their hands together and vowed for saving KMA.

Naina called out meeting of cadets in classroom.
She chalked out a plan,and divided the responsibilies amongst her friends and also urging other cadets to join them.
She got all the support of cadets. Everyone were together in this....
Shalini, Sureeji helped them as and when required.
Gunny was always there to guide them.
Abhi tried to speak to Naina, but neither she spoke to him nor she asked for any help.
They formed groups headed by Naina , Aalekh, Yudi , Ali,and Huda.
Pooja accompanied Naina to households.
Both of them covered different houses of locality....explaining the situation to ladies in the houses and other people....in order to form a favourable outlook for KMA in the general population.
Making them realise their duty towards nation....
Evoking hatred for Lala and his other shrewd supporters....

Along with 2-3 other cadets, Aalekh entered a caffe, Yudi managed to stop college students and Ali was conversing with elderlies...
yudi:- " main jaanta hoon ki ek minister nahi chahta iss desh mein KMA jaisi academies rahein.Main yeh bhi jaanta hoon ke aap log hampar bharosa nahi kartein. paar i urge you to trust me."
The students were staring at him...
The honesty in his eyes appealed them...Many were keenly listening to him with concentration and some were compelled to believe him,even against their own will....
Aalekh :- " Agar aap log apun log ki madad nahi karega,toh ek solid academy ko taala lag jaayega aur saath hi saath kai naujavanon ki ummedon par bhi taala lag jaayega."
All people out there forget their drinks and eatables and were listening to him only....
Ali-" mantri toh aate jaate hai, lekin hum iss desh ke sipahi hai, iss desh ki seva karte hai...hamesha."
The earnestness in Ali's voice has appealed to them....
yudi :- " Hum aap logo se request karte hai ki humpar bharosa rakhiye,hamari madad kijiye."
Aalekh :- " Lala KMA ko taala lagana chahta hai, iss desh ki waatt lagana chahta hai."
Yudi :- " hum KMA ko bachana chahtein hai. Aur issmein aap sab ki madad chahtein hai."
Ali :- " agar hum KMA jaisi academy ko aaj nahi bacha paayen, to inhe bandh kar diya jaayega."
They looked at him shocked....
Aalekh :-" agar aap log army join karna chchtein hai, to yahich time hai."
chitterling broke out in the cafe...
Ali :- " agar hum aaj kuch nahi kar paayein toh kabhi kuch nahi kar paayenge."
Aalekh :- "Apun nein to isse apni jindagi ka maqsad bana liya hai. Aur umeed karta hoon....umeed karta hoon ki aap log apun ka saath dega. Jai Hind"
He said with pride!
The people there were admiring him...his determination....his patriotism.
Yudi :- " Toh yahi samay hai....aap log jyaada se jyaada sankhya mein Army mein enroll karein."
An old man came forward and hugged Ali," I'm proud of you my son...i'm proud of you. Mera pota tumhe aadarsh maanta hai aur tumhari tarah bahadur banna chahta hai."
" Main bhi apne bachchon ko army mein bharti karwaunga. Army nein hamare desh ki bahot seva ki hai aur main chahta hoon ki woh bhi desh ki seva karein..", said one.
" Hum sab army join karna chahtein hai."," hum aapke saath hai." ,
" hum army join karenge", said bunch of people in caffe where aalekh was.
While the college students took the forms from Yudi to enroll their names in KMA.

Here Naina and Pooja were trying to remove the apprehension of joining Army from the housewives and along with strengthening their patriotism , were increasing the zeal amongst them to send their sons and daughters to join Army.
Lala and his men were doing all the negative publicity required.....
The Prime minister had been convinced by him that since not many people are keen to join KMA and due to recent bad happenings, it is best to shut down KMA....
Maj. Nair, The Principal , Of KMA had supported Lala Gehlot in front of PM and BC was not in a state to fight against them. He very well knew powers Lala held.....
Maj.Nair left no antics to punish the cadets striving for saving KMA and going out to gain public support....But Abhi, being VP always saved them.
Though he was not actively helping Naina and cadets, he was doing his share....and Naina too knew that. She tried but couldn't bring herself to trust him again.
Sameera , shedding her inhibitions , was participating in this mission. She too visited households, cafetarias, colleges,etc...
She even sidelined her decision of not talking with her dad and asked for his help,but she understood that he was already with Lala. She cried a lot , sitting alone , that day. She was ashamed of herself for having such a father.....It was when Huda consoled her,she calmed down a bit.

While coming from a cafetaria once, Naina saw a girl being harassed by bunch of goons.
The people around were just staring and doing nothing to save her.
Naina jumped into the circle goons had formed with their motor cycles revolving around the girl.
With her martial arts trick and the training she received in academy, she fought with them all and saved the girl.
The girl hugged her saviour tightly while others were gaping at her. She urged to the people there,
" Yahaan woh gunde ek ladki ki izzat ke saath khel rahe the aur aap log muh uthaye bas dekh rahe the? Kya aap sabka zameer mar gaya hai? Aaj jahan yeh ladki khadi hai, kal aapki beti,behen, biwi, girl friend ho sakti thi...phir aap kya karte?" ,
she looked at them while everyone were listening to her with their heads down....,
" Aap jaante hai hamara KMA hame kya Seekh deta hai...? yahin...ki desh ke saath saath har deshwaasi bhi hamare liye bahot maayine rakhta hai. Par Lala aur kuch ministers apne swaarth ke liye isse bandh karwana chahte hai.....Aap..aur sirf aap isse rok sakte hai. Dikha deejiye Lala ko ....ki India ek Democracy hai, jaha aaj bhi iske citizens iska bhavishya tay karte hai naaki kuch muttibhar politicians.....Hum aaj bhi apne hak ke liye ladna jaante hai.....Aaj bhi hum me wahi ekta aur taqat hai, jiske bal par humne angrezo ko sabak sikhaya tha. Tab paraye the , par aaj humare Apney hamari iss Bharat maa ko nuksaan pohochana chahte hai....Par hum aisa kabhi nahi hone de sakte. Desh yaani Maa....Aur hamari maa par hum koi aanch nahi aane denge. Aage badho aur apni betiyon ko bhi KMA mein bharti karo, jisse woh na sirf khudki balke deshwaasi aur desh ki bhi raksha kare."
Everyone was silent.
That girl started clapping.....followed by thundering applause from everyone standing there...
" Jai Hind."
" Hum tumhare Saath hai."
" Hum apni betiyon ko jarur Army mein bhejenge."
People were screaming.....
This brought a smile on Naina's lips....May be , she can save KMA !
3 days were gone....
only 12 days more....

Cadets had intensified their efforts....
Once, while Naina was coming from another visit to the households, she was attacked. She fought with them but they outnumbered her. She was being beaten mercilessly, when luckily Gunny reached there and saved her.
She was not severely injured but her health already being fragile, this was serious.
Shalini simply ordered her....
" Aaj ke baad tum bahar nahi jaogi Naina."
" Maam?Aap ye kya keh rahi hai?"
" Naina tum samajhti kyun nahi? Already tumhari health thik nahi hai. Tum rest toh karti nahi ho."
" Maam sahi bol rahi hai Naina. Apun log hain na bahar sambhalne ke liye. Tu yaha rehke apunki madad bhi kar sakti hai aur thoda aaraam bhi milega tereko.... ", Aalekh supported Shalini.
" Mujhe Rest ki kya zaroorat? mujhe kya hua hai?"
" Kya hua hai? jara khud ki ore dekh... Din raat kaam karke apni health ka kabada kar liya hai. Jism hai,machine nahi. usse aaraam ki zaroorat hai. Aur istarah toh tu aur bimaar pad jaayegi."
Shalini said, " Tumhare jaan ke dushman bhi kam nahi hai...JO log pehle Raj ki jaan ke peeche pade the, woh ab tumhare peeche pade hai....main jaanti hoon."
" Maam..yeh aap kya kehrahi hai,meri kuch samajh mein nahi aa raha.", Naina said avoiding her.
" Mujhse chupane ka koi faayda nahi Naina...main sab samajhti hoon. Tum...tum aise bhi help kar sakti ho baaki cadets ki....par kuch din tum academy ke bahar nahi jaaogi. "
" Maam, main istarah dar kar academy mein chup nai baith sakti."
" Naina, why don't you understand? Ab tum meri zimmedari ho. Agar tumhe kuch hogaya toh main Raj ko kya jawab dungi?"
" Maam...", Naina choked.
" Please Naina....maan jaao."
She simply nodded and quietly left along with Aalekh.

Next Day :
Naina was sitting by the lake alone.
She was strictly prohibited to go out of the academy by Shalini and her friends...
She was lost in her thoughts....throwing pebbles in the lake.
She was feeling that these efforts are not enough. She was not sure, how this was going to help as Lala had begun the counterattack. People keen to join KMA were being threatened by anonymous to not to.
She was not seeing a way out and that made her restless.
With KMA all the ways to prove Naveen and Rajveer innocent will be shut down.....And she can't let this happen. But what to do?
" Cadet Singh aap yahan?"
" Sir aap?" , She smiled at Gunny.
He sat there.
" Bahot gehri soch mein doobi thi aap."
" Hmmm. Koi raasta nazar nahi aa raha sir. Lala ne counter attack shuru kar diya hai.... Aur hamare efforts pe paani pher raha hai."
" Hmm. Uss Lala ko hum agar distract kar sake toh....uska dhyaan KMA se hatana hoga."
" Par kaise? Sir, main yeh Academy bandh nahi hone de sakti. KMA saath Naveen bhaiya aur Rajveer Sir ki begunahi ke saare saboot mitt jaayenge."
" Main samajh sakta hoon. Par mujhe bhi koi raasta nazar nahi aa raha." , Gunny said sadly.
" Kaash Rajveer Sir yahan hote.... ", Naina sighed ," Rajveer Sir, please mujhe koi raasta dikhao."
Gunny observed her. He had already sensed that She and Captn. Rajveer shared some special bonding. The way she screamed that day in jeep.... And then her attempt to suicide.....
He smiled. He wished all the happiness for this girl whom he was about to kill once.
" Toh tumhe lagta hai, tumhare Rajveer Sir jarur Lala ko distract kar paate?"
" Pata nahi....par woh kuch na kuch solution toh jarur nikaalte."
They both turned silent, when....
" Ek raasta hai !" , Both of them exclaimed at once.
" Kya tum bhi wahi soch rahi ho, jo main soch raha hoon?"
Naina nodded.
" Toh phir done! Yahi ek raasta hai.Par hume jabtak permission nahi mil jaati secrecy maintain karni hogi, warna woh Lala jarur taang adayega."
" Hmmm. Par sir aap kyun apna career aur Life..."
" Naina, main ek Soldier hoon. Ek desh bhakt. Jo apne desh ke liye aur desh ke dushmano ko khatam karne ke liye apni jaan bhi de sakta hai. Aur phir ye mera repentance bhi hai. Najaane uss Lala ne mujhse kitne masoomo ko....shayad main tumhara bhi gunehgaar hota agar waqt pe..."
" Gunny Sir, ismein aapki koi galati nahi hai."
" Thanks for forgiving me Naina. Par ab hume iss mission pe concentrate karna hai. So.... ready for the adventure ,PARTNER?"
Naina smiled.
" Certainly....Partner!"

That day itself Naina went to Delhi Head quarters with Gunny.
Nair was not there in academy and that made their job easier as they had to take permission only from Abhimanyu. He permitted them after some basic questioning, as if Nair returns earlier then he would have to answer him.
Aalekh noticed that Naina had become silent after her arrival from Delhi. He and Pooja tried to ask her,but she just made some excuse that its all because of ongoing stress and nothing serious....
Her friends understood that there was something she was hiding....But they also knew that she won't say anything if she had decided and only thing they have in their hands is wait for the right time when Naina herself will say it to them.

Two Days Later....
Naina was having Breakfast in the mess with her friends when an Orderly came.
" Cadet Singh, Aapke liye ye letter aaya hai. Head Quarter se."
Naina took that letter. She left her breakfast and went to Gunny.
She Knocked on his door.
" Come in."
She went inside.
" Cadet Singh?"
" Sir, Yeh letter aaya hai HQ se. Pata nahi kya faisla hoga un logo ka."
She was tensed.
" Naina, Yeh letter aaya hai yehi ek good sign hai.That means they are considering our plea. Ok...so as per this letter we have to leave for HQ today only."
" Woh toh thik hai sir...par ?"
" Kuch aur kehna chahti ho partner?"
" Well...yes sir....I don't know but I feel...."
Gunny smiled.
" Naina, I'm calling you Partner instead of cadet so that there will be a comfort level between us.....It is very important for success of our mission. So don't hesitate and tell whatever you feel like."
" Sir, agar main Lala ke saamne na bhi aau toh usse yeh pata hai ki in sab ke peeche main hoon....Woh Rajveer Sir, mere aur Bhaiya ke baaremein sab kuch jaanta hai. Par woh aapko issmein expect nahi kar raha hoga...toh... I mean....Please don't misunderstand but..."
" Main tumhe yahi kehne waala tha Naina. Agar hum Lala ko yeh ehsaas dilaaye ki in sab mein tum akeli ho, Tum akele hi yeh sab kar rahi ho, without support of your friends or anyone,toh woh aur bhi gaafil ho jayega aur yeh hamare liye aur bhi achcha hai."
" Right Sir."
" Toh I think you get ready while I try to get that devil out of our way."
Naina smiled and then remembered something,
" Ah...Sir?"
" Yes Naina?"
" I think all we have to do is, Nair ko pata na chale hum abhi Delhi jaa rahe hai."
" Cadet Naina, shayad aap bhool rahi hai, woh Nair Academy ka princi hai and since he is present here, hum sirf Captn. Chauhan se permission leke nahi jaa sakte."
" But.....What if we have the permission of Commander-in-chief?"
" You mean Brigadier Chandok?"
She nodded.
" Main aapko wahi batana chahti thi...."
" Is there something I AM missing?" , He joked, stressing on ' I'.
" Yes....there is definitely something ' YOU ' are missing."
" Please do the honours...."
" Actually sir...."
FLASHBACK:
A lady appears in front of Brigadier's quarters. She was wearing jeans and cotton kurti. Her hairs were tied in pony tail, she was wearing specs with heavy black frame and was carrying a simple ' Jhola ' style bag. By looks of it , she was looking like a reporter.
Brigadier had a special quarter...it was no less than a small bungalow. Little bit away from other buildings of Academy. There was a small garden in front of it, with well maintained lawn. She could see Brigadier sitting on a chair in lawn....lost in his own thoughts.
She asked a security person over there..
" Main Press se hoon. Ek interview keliye Mujhe Brigadier se milna hai."
" Jee aap unse nahi mil sakti. Woh kisise nahi milna chahte. Unke strict orders hai , ki kisiko andar na bheja jaaye."
" Parr main.....mera milna bahot jaruri hai."
" Humne aapse kahana madam? Brigadier is waqt kisise nahi milna chahte."
" AAP SAMAJHTE KYUN NAHI. Mera unse milna jaruri hai!" , She shouted, purposely....
" Dekhiye madam aap..."
" Main unse mile bagair kahi nahi jaane waali."
BC, hearing the commotion ,called out,
" Kaun hai?"
She went in with the guard following her..
" Sir hamne in madam ko kitna roka parr..." , guard said.
BC observed her....his experience in military and his minute
observation not failing him,
" It's okay. Ab yeh andar aahi gayi hai toh...... Tum bahar jaao.Aur dekhna ki KOI hame disturb na kare, jabtak ki yeh madam apna interview nahi pura karti. Tum bhi nahi....samjhe?", he warned the guard.
As soon as guard left,
" Iss tarah aane ki wajah jaan sakta hoon Cadet?"
She was shocked at first, but then smiled,
" Cadet Naina Singh Ahluwalia reporting Sir!" , She saluted.
" At ease Cadet." , he smiled, " Baitho."
Naina observed BC. He was not the same BC whom they used to see everyday....Who always used to walk in Pride....with Confident strides. Always erect! BC , today, was looking tired...defeated. He was in Kurta pyjama with a Shawl wrapped around....
She understood, that the decision to shut down KMA has hit him badly....
" How are you Sir?"
" I'm Fine...", he said in a low tone.
" But you don't seem so Sir."
He looked at her.
" Cadet Singh....this...this Academy is like my child....Maine apna sabkuch iss academy ko banane me laga diya....Yeh academy desh ki behatareen academy hua karti thi...aur..."
" I object Sir", Naina cut him , " Hua karti thi nahin...yeh ab bhi Desh ki behtareen Academy hai."
He smiled sadly.
" Par ab....ab they are planning to shut it. I don't know why they are doing all this....I mean Lala saab....But...ab kuch ho nahi sakta...Maine suna tum ...tum sab cadets milkar Academy ko bachane ki jee todh koshish kar rahe ho....Par woh log bahot Powerful hai....Ab kuch nahi ho sakta..."
" You know something sir, mere Mentor....Captain Rajveer Singh Shekhawat....", BC noticed the pride on her face when she said this , " Unhone mujhse ek baat kahi thi....ki Jab tak Aakhri Saans baaki rehti hai, Umeed Zinda rehti hai....Aur jabtak umeed zinda rehti hai, Sipahi jung nahi chodta.....Aur main jaanti hoon ki kahin na kahin unhone ye inspiration KMA se hi li hogi...kyunki woh issi KMA ke Cadet the....Main unke KMA ko aise hi bandh kaise hone desakti hoon sir ?aur rather hamare KMA ko itni aasaani se bandh nahi hone de sakti. Kyunki...kyunki abhi meri Saanse baaki hai Sir, toh phir main Jung kaise chod sakti hoon?"
BC observed the girl in front of him....
How mistaken he was? He had asked her to leave the thought of becoming soldier and be some model....He was about to throw her out of academy coz she was Navin Singh Ahluwalia's Sister....
And that same girl was igniting new zeal in him....to save His KMA....
" You know Cadet Singh ? Aaj tumhare Mentor ko tumpar bahot garv hota... He would have been proud of you."
" He...he always was...", she said softly.
She became emotional at mention of Rajveer, but she has to control herself , as the matter for which she had come was more important.
" Sir, aap soch rahe honge ki main iss tarah yaha kyun aayi?"
BC nodded.
" Actually Sir, humpar chaubiso ghante nazar rakhi jaa rahi hai....hum kya strategies banate hai...kaha jaate hai...kya karte hai..."
" I know....tumpar attack bhi hua tha na? How are you now?"

" Sir kya aap sachmein yeh maante hai ki unhone Col.Shakti ko maara hai?"
BC kept silent for a long time....she was getting restless and was about to get up when....
" NAHI..", He spoke in a firm voice, " Mujhe aisa nahi lagta Cadet."
Naina was happy.
" Well sir then...."
And she narrated him the plan in brief.

She got upto leave.
" Cadet Singh, maine aapse kaha tha ki aapke mentor ko aap pe bahot garv hota... Now i want to tell you that, I AM proud of you."
"All the best Cadet ! My blessings are always with you. REMEMBER...KMA means STRENGTH and HONOUR. So fight with STRENGTH and get back our HONOUR !! "
She smiled and nodded.
When she left, BC had tears in his eyes and.....HOPE !!
