" Nahi karega....kabhi nahi karega. Koi tere saath rahein ya na rahein...par apun tera saath kabhi nahi chodega Naina."

PART TWELVE :

Days passed by.....

Everyday seeming to be burden for Naina and every passing day increasing her desperation to prove Raj innocent and find him out and along with that increasing her determination to do so.

The dawn everyday strengthened her belief that he WILL return....to HER.

He has too !

Because he has promised her that he'll be there with her in all walks of life.

And she just KNEW that he wont break his promise....

That He won't leave her...like her bhaiya did....

Her Rajveer sir just cant break promise made to her and leave her alone in this cruel world !

One month later:

All of them were sitting in the mess except Naina.

She was given punishment by Nair for some feeble reason and all of them were warned to leave the place or she will have to face more.

Pooja was holding Ali's hand under the table. He had become a bit less shy after the ' Roka '.

Yesssss.......their Roka ceremony had been done. It was all because of Naina.

" Guyz...yeh Nair sirf Naina ke hi peeche kyun pada hai? Sab ussi ke saath hi kyun hota hai? ", Yudi asked frustrated.

" Aur aaj toh Captn. Chauhan aur Ustaad bhi academy mein nahi hai.", Ali said sadly.

" Saare Virus meri Naina ke hi hanset mein ghuse hue hai.....Woh hamare liye itna kuch karti hai aur hum....", Pooja said remembering how Naina made her ' Roka ' to occur....

Flashback:

Pooja was talking with Ali in the corridor.

" Dekh Ali, main maanti hoon ki hume pehle apni training aur mission poora karna hai. Par mujhe lagta hai ki kamse kam hame ghar pe batana chahiye. Iss tarah unse chupakar....."

" Hum maante hai pooja par aap bhi samajhne ki koshish keejiye. Is waqt hum kisi aur baat ke baare mein nahi soch sakte. Ek baar hum academy se nikale jaa chuke hai, aise mein hum abbu se agar aapki baat karenge toh..."

Pooja looked down sadly. Ali was right. And what was she going to tell her parents? will they agree for a boy belonging to a different religion as their son-in-law...? And will they agree for HER choice, in the first place. After whatever had happened in case of Rohit....

That night she cried in Naina's arms....letting out all her worries and insecurities about Ali and their relationship. Naina offered her a firm shoulder to cry on....patting her,talking to her soothing words....

Next day she called at Pooja's house.....

" Sat sri Akaal uncleji."

" Oye Sat sri akaal....ji aap kaun ?"

" Jee main Naina...pooja ki.."

" Oh puttarji aap?? jeeendi reh puttar ! Sab theek toh hai naa? Tum logoke network mein phir koi gadbad toh nahi? tussi phone kisliye kitta?"

" Woh...uncleji kuch jaroori baat karni thi aapse.Pooja ke baarein mein."

" Pooji de baarein mein? Kee hoya puttarji?"

" Darasal Uncleji....woh aap Ali ko jaante hai naa? Ali Beigh? Jo hamare saath Academy mein padhta hai?"

" Ali....?haan....yaad aaya....bahot hi changa munda hai ! uska kya?"

" Actually Uncleji, Pooja aur Ali ek doosre se pyaar kartein hai."

" KYAAAA???? Lekin pooji ne kabhi...."

" Uncleji, Pooja aapko kehne se darr rahi hai. Actually, woh phirse aapko koi dukh nahi pohochaana chahti. Jo kuch Rohit ke saath hua uske baad, woh darti hai ki kahi.....parr uncleji sach maaniye. Ali bahot achcha aur nek ladka hai. Woh Pooja se bahot pyaar karta hai aur usse bahot khush rakhega!"

" Jeeti reh Puttar. Waahe guru tujhe saari khushiyaan de...", This was Pooja's mother. Pooja's father had put the phone on speaker mode.

" Humara handset toh yahi sochkar hang ho chuka tha ki jo kuch uss virus Rohit ne uske saath kiya, uske baad pooji kabhi life time plan ke baarein mein nahi sochegi. Parr aaj tumne dil khush kitta puttarji. Jeeti raho! "

" Thank you Auntiji." , Naina was happy as half of her work was done.

" Main abhi Ali ke ghar phone karta hoon."

" Ah...Uncleji....mujhe lagta hai, main ekbaar uske ghar baat kar leti hoon....uske baad aap...."

" Jaisa tum kaho puttar."

and she hung the phone.

Next she called Ali's Abbu.

After initial formal talks,she broached the topic....

" Achcha....toh aap Pooja Ghai ki baat kar rahi ho? Bahot hi nek bachchi hai. Aur hum Army waale hai. Sabse pehle hum Hindustani hai! Yeh jaat paat , bhed bhaav ko hum nahi maante. Achcha kiya jo aapne hame bataya. Aur batati kyun naa? Aakhir ab aap bhi toh Ali ki Behen hai! Hame aur Ali kii ammi ko bhi Pooja bahot pasand hai. Aap pareshan mat ho. Hum sab sambhal lenge."

Naina was overjoyed!

Next day Ali and Pooja got biggest shock of their lives!

After the formal talks, finally their parents decided to get them engaged at least. All of their friends were ecstatic!

But....

" Oye Naina...Tune soch bhi kaise liya ke hum engagement karenge? ", Pooja was angry with her.

" Pooji tu baat ko samajh."

" Tu baat ko samajh Naina. Tune soch bhi kaise liya ke jab tu itni mushkilo se gujar rahi hai, main aur Ali khushiyaan manayenge?"

" Pooja sahi keh rahi hai Naina. Hum aisa nahi kar sakte.", Ali supported Pooja.

" Kyun nahi kar sakte?", Naina.

Pooja got angrier...

" Jab main tujhe roz apne pyaar ke liye tadapta dekh rahi hoon, tune soch bhi kaise liya ki main apni zindagi ki sabse badi khushi jeeungi? Jabtak Rajveer Sir ko hum waapis nahi laate...."

And Naina put her hand on her mouth, stopping her from saying further....

There were tears in her eyes....

" Uss sentence ko poora karne ki himmat bhi mat karna pooji. Aaj main apne pyaar se door hoon, issiliye chahti hoon ki tujhe tera pyaar mile. Zindagi bahot choti hai Pooji...Ali, main nahi chahti ki tum bhi meri tarah....... Bahot Naseeb waali hai tu jo tera pyaar tere paas hai. Aur phir teri khushi mein meri khushi hai. Kya tu apni Best friend ko itnisi khushi bhi nahi degi?" , Naina asked cupping her face.

Pooja broke down and hugged her tightly......

Ali came forward and hugged both of them and rest of friends followed the suit....all of them engulfed in bear hug.....

Inspite of lot of urging from Naina and all the friends, Ali and Pooja decided to keep the ceremony as simple as possible....

All the friends decorated the hall for them.....

While Naina and Neelu along with Pooja's mother purchased the things necessary for the ' Roka ' ceremony.

All the staff, excluding Nair, had come to attend the ceremony. Even BC came and blessed the couple.....

Flashback Ends.

"Haan...", Ali said his eyes welling up, " Aur hum...humne unke aur Captain Rajveer ke rishtey ke baarein mein kaisi kaisi ghatiya baatein kahi thi..."

He banged his fist on the table, unable to contain his guilt remembering those days.

Aalekh placed hand on his shoulder,

" Bhool jaa uss baat ko Usool. Captain aur Naina kabka tujhe uske liye maaf kar chuke hai.", Ali just blink his tears away ," par Pata nahi agar Naina nahi hoti toh apun Neelu ko kaise sambhal paata." , Alekh said.

Neelu ka miscarraige hogaya tha.

One day she was climbing down the stairs and she slipped and fell on her belly.

She was admitted in the hospital.

Aalekh too rushed with Yudi and Naina.

Doctor tried their best to save the child but then Neelu was critical and Doctors gave them a choice .....it was either Neelu or the baby....

" Neelu." , Aalekh said before her parents could even react.

Neelu was completely broken after that.

She hardly talked with anyone.

When she came to know that Aalekh had chosen to sacrifice her baby for her, she stopped talking to him completely.

It was Naina who prevented the matter from getting worse....

Flashback:

Neelu was sitting in the lawn.....staring in to nothingness....

when she felt someone had placed a hand on her shoulder. She turned to find Naina.

Naina smiled at her, but she didn't respond....only moved a little to make place for her to sit.

" Kaisi ho Neelu?"

She just nodded.

There was a silence.....Naina was thinking what to say when...

" Qaidi ki tarafdaari karne aai ho?", Neelu asked all of a sudden.

" Nahi."

" Toh fir?"

" Aalekh ka Secret bataane."

Neelu stared at her.

" Jaanti ho Neelu? Aalekh ki sabse badi khwaish kya hai?"

Neelu just looked at her.

Naina smiled and said," Uski sabse badi khwaish hai ki uski apni family ho. Aisi family...jise woh apna keh sake. Ek biwi ho jise woh bahot pyaar kare....bachche ho , jinhe woh ek achcha bachpan de sake jo usse kabhi nahi mila."

Tears welled up in Neelu's eyes.

Naina held her hand.

" Neelu....tumse jyaada iss bachche ka intezaar Aalekh ko tha. Kya tum jaanti ho woh detention centre mein bhi socha karta tha ki woh ek aisa kaabil army officer banega jispe naahi hum sab aur Rajveer sir ko.....balke uss nanhe farishte ko bhi naaz ho. Kya tum jaanti ho Aalekh ne drinking bhi kam kardi thi....taake dheere dheere woh usse chod sake.Kyunki woh nahi chahta tha ki uska bachcha usse drunkard samjhe....yaa kabhi aage jaakar jab woh bada hoga toh usse bhi aadat lag jaaye."

Neelu was crying hard now.

" Neelu Aalekh uss baby se bahot pyaar karta tha, aur uske jaane ka gham usse bhi chain se jeene nahi de raha....par woh tumse bahot jyaada pyaar karta hai Neelu....woh tumhe khona nahi chahta....Aur tumhari yeh khamoshi usse tod rahi hai."

Neelu hugged Naina tightly. Naina began running her hand on her hairs....comforting her....

" Aa....Aalekh?" , Neelu asked.

Naina looked behind her and she followed her gaze, where she saw him standing with tears in his eyes.

" Aalekh !", Neelu called out.

Aalekh came forward.

Neelu ran and hugged him fiercely....he too hugged back with equal anticipation.

Naina slowly left the place, leaving the two lovers into the bliss of their love......

Flashback ends.

" Right chief." , Yudi said, " Agar woh naa hoti toh main shalini maam se baat karne ke liye kabhi himmat nahi juta paata."

" Toh ab kaunse himmat ke zhande gaade hai Yudiye?" , Huda mocked ," Abhi bhi Shalini maam se toh kuch keh nahi paaya tu."

" Huda bhai aap chup rahiye."

" chief....I'm waiting for a right opportunity. Atleast maine maam ko batane ka mann toh bana liya hai. Tumhari tarah nahi....", Yudi said looking from Huda to sameera and back to Huda.

" Oye Yudiye teri to....."

" Oye SILENCE....", Sureeji shouted , " Khotte de puttaro, agar koi danga kiya naa toh tumhare dono kaano vich sar kardunga."

Flashback:

Yudi was sitting alone on the ground.....thinking where his life is leading him to.

He truly loved Shalini....but then was not sure about what he should do.

He saw Naina sitting alone on the bench and went to her.

" Hi Naina!"

" Yudi tum? Aao baitho."

She shifted a bit to make him a place to sit.

Naina observed that Yudi was looking a bit disturbed.

" Kya hua Yudi? kuch pareshaan dikh rahe ho...."

He sighed.

" You know Naina? Somewhere tumhari aur meri condition ek jaisi hi hai."

Naina understood. She placed a hand on his.

He looked at her.

" Yudi.... bahot alag hai hamare haalaat. Don't think about what people will say. Apna pyaar jaane mat do Yudi.... Aaj main cheekh kar bhi kehna chahu toh bhi woh sun nahi sakte. Jab woh mere saath the toh maine unhe kya kuch nahi kaha....aur jabtak main apne pyaar ko samajh paati, woh mujhse door ja chuke the. Ab sirf intezaar hi toh bacha hai mere haath mein. Par tumhara pyaar tumhare saamne hai Yudi. Kehdo maamse. Dont keep this within yourself."

Yudi placed his another hand on hers.

" Tum sahi keh rahi ho Naina. Main sahi mauka dekhte hi maam se kehdunga."

Naina smiled.....

Flashback ends.

" Sachmein. Hum Naina ke hosle ki daad dete hai. Khud itni mushkilo se gujar rahi hai, par humsab ke zindagi mein khushiyaan bharna chahti hai.", Ali said.

" Woh Phoolan hai. Uski har baat sabse alag toh honi hi hai."

" Parr mujhse uska yeh sad ringtone dekha nahi jaata. Woh hum sab ke liye hum sab ke saamne hass bol leti hai...parr maine dekha hai. Raat raat bhar sir ki tasveer haath me lekar roti hai."

" Haan. Aur uss din toh woh saari raat Liabrary mein hi baithi thi. Information collect karne.", Yudi quipped.

" Doston....Naina hum sab ke liye itna kuch karti hai, hame bhi toh uske liye kuch karna chahiye na. Kuch aisa jis se thoda change aa jaaye uske life mein....thodisi khushi.", Sam said remembering how Naina helps her to get through Gunny's odd behaviour sometimes.

" Saale dhakkan log....phokat mein uske dost bane ghumte ho."

" Kya matlab hai chief?"

" Woh boleto uska Happy Birthday hai kal."

" Arre haan! Mere toh dimaag se hi nikal gaya!", Huda said beating his head.

" Dimaag hoga toh naa?", Aalekh said.

" Oye qaidi teri toh!"

" Bass keejiye aap dono! Ab yeh sochiye hame karna kya hai?"

They formed a huddle to discuss the plan.....

After the punishment, Naina went to freshen up and then have her dinner.

It was pretty late after the lights out. And sneaking out from her room, and keeping out from everyone's eyes Naina arrived to visit the same place.

The place she used to visit every night.

She came in front of Captain Rajveer's room.

Her eyes fell on the lock and she again became teary.

Naina used to do this every night.

Everynight she used to come in front of Rajveer's room, to check whether he has returned or not.....whether the lock on the door is opened or not...

And everyday , she faced disappointment and nothing else.

Then she used to sit on the stairs in front of his room, leaning on the pillar.

After waiting for a long,she used to draw a minute line on the lowest brick of the pillar as such no one can easily make it out .....As if counting the days , since he is away from her.....

As if....keeping the count of the number of days she's been waiting for him.

Every night,sitting there she used to recollect time spent with him and used to relive those memories.

Even tonight she was reminded of something....which was....dreadful....

She was reminded of her getting carried away by her anger and Ritu's words and then shooting him in the truck.

She somehow recollected that, Rajveer was not shocked at seeing a pistol in her hands....as if he already knew that she has one.

And she got it....

He always knew that she had the pistol and she was there to take the revenge and kill him...

Meri aankhon mein kya hai,tum yeh pehchante the...

tumse badla main lungi,yeh bhi tum jaante the...

And still....still he kept quiet and didn't say a word?

still he didn't do anything to prevent her?

Phir bhi chup chap rehkar,har sitam sehte rahe tum...

Kuch na kehke bhi meri.chahto mein rahe gum...

He even didnt take her name in front of everyone and said that Ritu had shot him...

He was trying desperately to explain himself and to lessen the drift between them...

How much does she hate him, he kept supporting her...

Yeh mohobbat hai teri,jisse nafrat hai miti,

lee wafa ne angdaai....

thodasa pyaar hua hai.... thoda hai baaki....

She was crying silently cursing herself....

Soon...it was time. She has to get back to her room.

She did,what she used to do every night.....drew another tiny line and left for her room.

But....

What Naina didnt know was, every night, Dr.Shalini watched her doing this.

She too wiped her tears and went to her quarters.

The part was really nice...though I was a bit confused for there were so many flashbacks included.

WHERE IS RAJVEER???????? OR WHEN IS HE COMING BACK????
