Hey raam besharmi ki bhi hadd hoti hai *shakes head*..hehe...I've always wanted to use that dialogue on someone...finally mauka mil gaya! :D Oye yaar I love how Debby's written you in her story! That's totally one of my fav characters now! Besharmi zindaabad. 😆

O ya...your update...I'm coming to that too I promise lol....omg LOVED this takraar wala scene! :D :D YAYY Benjy has a crush on Dia! I'm getting those vibes between them in the show too..LOVE how you've related everyone in your story! 😃

LOL loved Benji trying to console Nupur and Nupur's rant about Sheena, was so like her. And Mayank's affectionate smile for his mom...☺️

and LOL Mayank's mom watches Kyunki maa ka laadla bigad gaya too? hehe...can't wait till she meets Nupur...I can totally picture maa being all excited to see her jeeti jagti and not on tv....lol and maa asking her what happens next in the show or something...o and yay for mummy makin' an appearance in part 4 *excited muh* 😃

Awww love the way you showed Nupur crying at the hole in her dupatta. So adorable and so like her! It reminded me of Kajol in K3G when she breaks the 'gamla' for the second time. 😆 And yay for Mayank's amused look! And then going off to mind his own business the next second.

wohooo can't wait for part 4. Awesome update! =)

Part 2: Mayank is in!! *jumps up in the air* Thanks so much for bringing him in. And I must say u deserve a special round of applause for the interesting characterization... Mayank's Mom, CJ, Uday, Aha and of course Shukla Sir! Mayank sounds like the perfect guy, as he himself says. He has all the sarcasm, wit and confidence that I love - add to that success, big bucks, good looks and an adorable Mom.. Man, I would marry him right away! Part 3: Benji has a crush on Diya? Haila, that is interesting.. I remember some speculation on that front even on the show. High time Benji gets a girl.. Nupur is so upset abt the junior artiste treatment she's getting... You write her so well. I could almost see her getting hyper and frustrated with the situation.
Ok now the first sight scene - brilliant! Benji getting irritated with Nupur's overreaction and Mayank giving them a smug smile - ah! I cant wait till their first meeting. Yeah, i think BenjiDiya would have been cute on the show, considering how he never thought so highly of her. And he does need a girl, and deserve one! Oh, I'm so glad you enjoyed the part Debs, it means so much! *hug* Their first meeting is not for a few parts though. I still need to plan it. 😆

Part 1:

I love the name of the serial and how close they are =) Poor Gunjan, people used to take advantage of her being quiet and stuff? To be frank, I'm a bit iffy about this part. I mean, it started okay, but then it got a bit off near the end. Oh well, I've got nothing else written. 😆

Nupur rushed into the tall building. Under normal circumstances, she would have been intimidated by the structure, and the people who worked in such an elegant and extravagant industry, but as it was, she was frantic because her sister had just been promoted, and had forgotten such an important file at home. She hurried to the receptionist and asked for Gunjan Bhushan.

Mayank confidently strolled out of the elevator, listening intently to CJ and Uday argue over their guest bedroom, and what should be done with it. It was an amusing conversation, as most of theirs tended to be. He noticed a brightly dressed girl rush into the building, knowing instantly that it was not one of his employees, as they tended to dress in neutral colours rather than bright ones. He wondered for a bit, before shaking his head, and walking past the receptionist counter. Flicking his eyes at her face, he frowned at the flicker of recognition that flared and died almost instantly.

Nupur had to keep herself from reaching over the counter and strangling the annoying woman sitting behind the desk. "No, not Gungun, Gunjan," she stressed, a third time. "Gunjan Bhushan, she's an intern on the 67^th floor."

The woman nodded, and Nupur refrained from rolling her eyes at the obvious dislike that was written all over the other woman's face. She pressed a few buttons on the phone in front of her and paged for Gunjan. Finally, she got it right.

Mayank paused before reaching the door as he realised that it was the same girl with the ripped dupatta from two days ago, the girl from Ma's show, who was standing behind him. He looked back, casting an appreciative glance on her form. He may not date much, if at all, but he was not blind, and she was obviously attractive. He let a smirk cross his face, not seeing one of the women walking into the building swoon into her colleague's arms, and another walk into the door.

Nupur tapped her foot as she waited, ignoring the dirty looks the receptionist was shooting her. To further irritate the woman, she began to tap her fingers on the counter as well. She kept her face blank, hiding her merriment from the woman. The back of her neck prickled, and she stilled. It felt like someone was watching her. She turned around quickly, but spotted no one. Her inquiring gaze swept over the entire lobby, but she saw no one looking at her. Three well-dressed individuals were leaving the building, a young man was fanning the woman in his arms, and another woman was holding her head in pain, but not one of them was looking at her. She shook her head, turning back to resume annoying the receptionist.

Gunjan hurried down the hall, having figured out who had come to the building and paged for her. She could not believe she had left such an important file at home in her haste to get to work. She sighed. Samrat was right; she was too much of a workaholic. Not that she would ever tell him that of course. She made a mad dash for the elevator as she saw it closing. A hand reached out and stopped the doors as the woman inside saw her.

"Thank you," she uttered quietly, giving a small smile to the older woman.

She smiled back, very sweetly, and Gunjan felt a pang as she remembered her mother, whose smile was as sweet as this other woman's. "No problem beta."

The lift began to make its' descent, and Gunjan bit her lip as she watched the numbers ticked slowly.

"You know beta, the lift isn't going to move any faster no matter how long you look at the numbers,"

Gunjan coloured slightly. "Nahin, woh, main," she faltered. "Main apni file ghar par bhool gayi, aur kal hi meri promotion huyi thi, aur mujhe thodi chinta ho rahi hai." All her words ran together, but somehow the woman managed to understand her.

She gave the obviously flustered younger woman a reassuring smile. "Iss mein kya badi baat hai? Main toh hamesha files bulthi hoon, aur mera beta," she made a face. "Hamesha khana bhool jaata hai."

Gunjan giggled, already feeling at ease with this woman, despite not knowing who she was.

The lift chimed, and both woman got off together. It was easy to spot her Di, and she thanked the woman, gesturing at her Di. The woman's eyes widened in surprise as she recognised the actress.

"Tumhari behen Nupur Bhushan hai?" Her delight was palpable.

"Haan," Gunjan laughed slightly, glad that her sister was getting recognition.

"Main usse mil sakti hoon?"

"Of course, Aunty!" Gunjan led the woman to where Di stood.

"By God Gunjan Bhushan!" Nupur started immediately when she saw her younger sister. "Yeh raha tumhari file," she thrust it at her sister. "You just love making me run after you don't you?"

"Of course Di," Gunjan hugged her sister. "Everyone else runs after you." She winked. "Oh, Di, yeh aapki fan hai," she tugged the aunty forward.

The woman hugged Nupur impulsively. "I'm a huge fan!" She beamed at Nupur. "Jannat is my favourite character on KMDLBG," she informed them both, Gunjan mouthing the abbreviation in amusement.

Nupur blushed prettily. "Thank you."

"No, thank you," the woman told her. "Before Jannat's entry, the life in the show was disappearing. And that new girl," the woman wrinkled her nose. "Kya naam tha actress ka? Haan, Sheena," she made a face. "Horrible actress. She should get killed off, and Jannat should be given more importance."

Nupur tried to defend Sheena, albeit half-heartedly. The woman just brushed off her defences, and told her that she was a much better actress, a compliment that meant a lot to Nupur. Nupur then caught sight of the clock on the wall and yelped.

"I'm late," she wailed. "Aunty, it was nice meeting you. Aap agar kabhi bhi chahtey hai, toh set pe aa jayiye aur main aap ko sab se milvati hoon. Gunjan, don't forget to have lunch," she waved at them and rushed out, blowing a kiss back at Gunjan.

The elder woman smiled at the obvious love between the two sisters, as Gunjan shook her head, grinning at her sister's disappearing form. "Bohut sweet hai, tum dono."

Gunjan blushed slightly. "Thank you."

The taller woman pat Gunjan on the head softly, giving her an affectionate look. "Beta, agar kabhi bhi, kissi ki zaroorat ho, toh mujhe yaad karna, theek hain? Mein roz yaheen par hoti hoon," she winked at the girl. "Because of my workaholic son."

Gunjan grinned back at the woman, and if she had been her sister, she would have reached out and hugged her. But being the more reserved one, she conveyed her gratitude verbally.

Gunjan could not be blamed for not recognising the woman, and she realised only later that she never asked for a name. How was she to know that she had just spent some time with the mother of her boss?

It was amazing convo between mayank's mom and Gunjan/NUpur.

To be honest I am waiting for Mayank NUpur meet and see how they bothe get attracted to each other..
