Thank you for that wonderful comment - which was quite bang on btw, especially (quoting you) - "...more than coming to terms with I guess it's that she isn't able to connect to it in the context of her present day reality..." - that's exactly it. So she suffered from the trauma of the incident when it happened, and taken in by her foster home tried to shut out the past to overgrow it - an effort that succeeded in having her be detached from her past in general, but the scar of the event haunts her subconscious, hence the dreams. So while she remembers next to nothing when she intentionally tries to, in her waking hours, the worst bits of her past come back in dreams of various structure... and it doesn't help that while she can hardly recall any of the happy moments, all the gore finds its way back to her.

Happy New Year to everyone around here 🤗 - and my usual round of sorry is in order I suppose *sighs*

Although, for once I actually have a real reason - which is not the perpetual habit of delay - for not having updated yet. Got down with a round, and a replapse of pneumonia middle of the festive season, and have no words enough to say how much it sucked being ill at that time of the year...

But well, just wanted to say I'm feeling better since yesterday - and better enough today to login and leave you guys a note for hope again. I'm going to have a crazy schedule the first trimester of 2012 - so I might not be online on IF all that much; but I shall try and update every now and then, following the same trend of shorter chapters.

Anyone need a recap for the story so far - especially 2011 last few chapters - leme know, cause I'll try to be updating here soon... fingers crossed for this weekend.
