A Visit Of King Dharam To The Kingdom Of Dehli:

The very next day,arrangements were being made for the arrival of king Dharam.Every servant of the palace was busy in decorating the main hall,stairs etc.Nivriti was there to ensure that everything was going fine or not.

Meanwhile,Priya was getting ready in her room talking to herself;

Priya: I don't understand, I don't even know that king Dharam,and my parents have decided for my marriage with him. I just hate this approach.The moment a girl turns 17 her parents start searching for their daughter's suitable match. I just hate it,hate it,hate it.

Someshwar was talking to Nivriti;

Someshwar: Are the workers done with all the arrangements?

Nivriti: Yes,they are.

Someshwar: Just make sure that everything is perfect.There should not be any mistake or carelessness made,by the servants.Afterall,its the matter of our honour.

Nivriti: Please,don't worry.Just relax,everything will be fine.

Someshwar: I hope so.By the way,where is our daughter Priya?

Nivriti: She is getting ready in her room.

Someshwar: Please go and tell her to hurry up,Dharam will be here any minute.

Nivriti: Alright.

Nivriti goes to Priya's room and knocks at her door;

Nivriti: Priya are you ready?

Priya: Yes,mother.I am coming in just fifteen minutes.

Nivriti: Hurry up beta,Dharam is on his way.

Saying this,she leaves.

The king and queen,were waiting for king Dharam.After a few minutes,the door bell rings and Dharam arrives.Someshwar comes forward with open arms and with a smile on his face.

Someshwar: Welcome Dharam,welcome.I am glad to see you here.

Dharam: So am I uncle.(replies with a smile)

Both hug eachother.Someshwar indicates Dharam,to be seated.

Dharam: Greetings aunty.(Nivriti repies him with a smile)

Someshwar: I must say,that you are really a person of strong nerves.You have been taking care of Aryanagar since you were 16 years old,how did you manage to handle,such a large kingdom for the last five years all by yourself,without your parents?

Dharam: Uncle,for me,my father's golden words and principles,are everything.The way he used to make wise,timely decisions.The way he used to handle each and every matter was just amazing.I followed his foot steps and succeeded.

Someshwar: I am really proud of you.I am glad that you are inclined towards my only daughter and you want to marry her.I will be happy to get son-in-law like you.

Dharam: No uncle.It will be my honour to have Priya,as my would-be-wife.By the way,where is Priya? I want to meet her.

Someshwar: Sure.Nivriti,please call Priya and tell her that Dharam wants to see her.

Nivriti: Alright.

Nivriti goes to Priya.

Nivriti: Thank God you are ready,please come Dharam wants to see you.

Priya: But mother....

Nivriti: Please Priya.

Priya goes infront of Dharam,with a nervous look on her face and eyes down.

Dharam keeps on staring at her.

Dharam: Beautiful.Uncle,I am ready for the engagement,but first i want both of you to ask her first then i'll come day after tomorrow.ok then bye.

1st part comment:

well, this part was good, Priya is a sweet natured girl, suiting on Mughdas face 😛, u know, wid just this part u introduce the whole character of Priya, and there isnt needed the profile of page 1... that good is the description throgh the dialogues 👏

2nd part comment:

ok, Dharam is better (more positive) that what i thought... i mean, he has the signs of being a responsible, disciplinated person 😊... taking a kingdom at 16 years... is unique for sure!... that means he has got good qualities too right?... its just that he doesnt like shramiks and Priya wont like him, wont see him as her husband.

thanks god that the part are short and easily understable... 😛 otherwise i have to do lots of efforts to read a long chapter of any fic... 🥱 just telling you wid the hope that u continue posting small chapters, regularly. 😃

After dharam was gone,Priya made a child like innocent but annoyed face and was standing by the support of the pillar.

Someshwar started talking to his wife,about Dharam;

Someshwar:
Dharam is such a nice and well-mannered person.I think,he is perfect for Priya.What do you think Nivriti?
On listening this sentence,Priya quickly goes in her room.Someshwar and Nivriti notice it.

Someshwar:
What happened to Priya?
Nivriti:
Nothing..let me go and I will talk to her.
Nivriti goes to Priya's room,where she was sitting on her bed with the quilt on her.Nivriti starts talking to her;

Nivriti:
Why did you come running in your room from the lounge?what is the matter?
Priya:
Well,you know the reason.Father has already chosen him as my husband without asking me,are you people playing a game with me or there is something else going in your minds?
Nivriti:
Its nothing like that.We'll not do anything without your consent,we are your parents not your foes.
Priya:
I know you people,at first you make fool of me by saying that we'll do nothing without your consent but in real you do whatever you think is right.I don't like that person.
Nivriti:
You cannot make a judgement of a person without knowing him,you have'nt talked to him yet.He is coming tomorrow,talk to him try to understand his nature,he is a very nice person.
Priya:
What you mean to say is,that no matter what happens,I will have to get engaged with him by hook or by crook.You told me that I will marry a person of my own choice,what kind of a freedom is this?
Nivriti:
Hold on my dear, you will not marry any person but a prince just keep this thing in your mind.Tomorrow Dharam is coming so be ready,its getting late now.Just go to sleep.
The next afternoon,Dharam arrives.He takes the blessings from Someshwar and Nivriti and sits in the lounge.Priya also comes over there.

Dharam:
So,did you ask Priya about me.
Someshwar
:What is the point of asking her I know you are a very nice person,I also know that you will keep my daughter happy.
Dharam:
Thanks alot uncle.So when are we getting engaged?
Someshwar:
Tomorrow.Start making arrangements.
Dharam:
So kind of you.May I talk to Priya,alone,for a minute.
Someshwar:
Sure,sure,Priya.......
Priya:
I don't want to talk to him.
Someshwar:
PRIYA!!! how dare you talk to him like that.
Priya,goes into her bedroom at once.

Someshwar:
Please don't mind of her behaviour,you just concentrate on the arrangements of your engagement ceremony.Ok?
Dharam:
Sure uncle,I'l see you tomorrow.Bye.
Nivriti looked tense;She starts her conversation with Someshwar;

Nivriti:
Excuse me Someshwar,but,don't you think that,you are taking a hasty decision in the case of Priya's marriage? I mean it is the matter of our daughter's life.
Someshwar:
What do you mean,a hasty decision,I know what I am doing.
Nivriti:
But I think that Priya has the right to choose her own husband.
Someshwar:
Dharam is an excellent choice for Priya.He has all the qualities which a good prince should have and I really like him.
Nivriti:
If you like him,it does'nt mean that Priya should also like him.
Someshwar:
Did'nt you see her attitude and behaviour infront of Dharam? it was so embarassing.
Nivriti:
Because we are forcing her for this,you know her nature.Don't you? Someshwar: Stop all this please,if she is not in your control,then Im going to her room and talking to her.

Someshwar goes to talk to his daughter;

Someshwar: Priya,do whatever you want but you'll only marry Dharam,and this is my final decision.

Priya: But....

Someshwar: Enough.(saying this,he leaves her daughter speechless.)

The next day,Dharam comes with the engagement ring,the king and queen welcome him,whole-heartedly,Priya sits beside him with eyes down,wearing lilac suit.Dharam stares at her lovingly,and she feels irritated.

Priya puts the ring in Dharam's hand finger,but she hesitates to reveal her hand infront of Dharam.Dharam looks at her with confusion,Someshwar notices this and warns her in undertone;

Someshwar: Priya come on,stop this non'sense,show your hand.(she hesistes first then she reveals her hand with a bad mood)
