Huge apologies Sam, I know I've been playing hooky for a long time now and I sincerely apologise for it. I freely admit to purely selfish reasons as well, I'm sure you can guess what or rather who…coming to part 32, it was just so natural, I mean Armaan and Riddhima, Anjali and Ankit (and the rest of the gang) are people you can identify with, grappling with questions that we all have to face at one point or the other. When Armaan muses about how his life might have been if Riddhima hadn't entered it and comes to the conclusion that "maybe if no one had ever come into his life, one might have been willing to settle for the familiarity of a friend instead of the awkwardness and uncertainty of a stranger but you don't settle for friendship when you are looking for love" one automatically empathises…with the conundrum that is; the path taken of course depends upon the individual.
I confess I adore Padma, probably cause she reminds me a lot of my own mom. The way she faced the crisis with an iron will, holding out till it passed before giving into exhaustion and even acknowledging the emotional strain, and even in the midst of it all, noting little details about her offspring's life, all of it found echoes in my own memories of days past and mom dealing with everything from a missing homework sheet to a major accident with the calm unflappability of a general.
The bit with Ankit and Anjail was just perfect. I loved the way Ankit reflected ruefully that the one time he lets go of his famed detactment, he's plunged into a possible love triangle worthy of a Yash-Raj pot-boiler. And as for Anjali's advocacy of a "selfish" approach to love, at the end of the day doesn't everyone have the right to ensure their own happiness? After all, how many of our decisions can be called unselfish, so if we can be selfish in everyday life then why not in love which is so much more important than these petty choices. And in the end all of love is a gamble, so why not go for broke?

Sorry Sam, I was about to post an equally long analysis of the last part but there was a whole lot of meaningful throat clearings and hammed "I'm-hurt but-I'm-to0-noble-to-show-it-and-spoil-your-fun" expressions behind me when I came to the end of the last para and so I lost the thread of my thoughts…I'll content myself by saying it was thoroughly enjoyable!!!
