"hey atul m tired seriously. Aj to itna kam tha k pucho mat. Upar se dr. kirti dheron surgeries mere khatay main del deti hain"

"thank God I only had to give duty in ICU"

"lucky you atul"

"kiya lucky you yar. Kal ki 3 surgeries mere pas hain"

"hey guys tum dono ne arman ko dekha??" said rahul coming in caf.

"nahi yaar. Wo to kam k baad God knows kahan ghayab hojata hai"

"it's ok I'll look for him" said rahul and he walked out.

"arman bohat badal gaya hai na" said muskan looking after rahul.

"ya. Na koi shararat na koi panga na koi girlfriends. Pata nahi ho kiya gaya hai usay. I even asked him but taal deta hai"

"ya. I hope koi problem nahi hai. Shayad bacha bada hogaya hai" said muskan humorously.

"yeah perhaps bada hi hogaya hai" atul joked.

"hey by the way anjali kab wapas arahi hai?"

"bas next week, Monday se wapas ajayegi"

"do maheenay ki chuti li usne. Aisa kiya hogaya? Kuch bataya nahi usne?"

"nahi she didn't told anything. Bas kaha kuch urgent kam hai. America jana hoga. Isiliye to uski jagah pe doctor rakha tha do maheenay k liye. Wapas ayegi tab hi kuch batayegi"

Rahul started to look around for arman and finally found him in the fire escape.

"arman yar tu yahan hai. Main kb se dhund raha hun tujhe. Chal uth chal k kahan khate hain"

"mujhe bhook nahi hai. Tu kha le" said arman who was sitting on the stairs. He didn't even look back at rahul. Rahul stepped down and sat beside him,

"kiya hua? Yaad arahi hai??"

"nahi!"said arman keeping his both hands joined in a fist on his lips.

"pata hai sb baat karte hain k arman kitna badal gaya hai. Sbko purana arman chahye na!"

"wo arman peeche reh gaya"

"to wapas le a usay"

"wo mere bas main nahi hai, usay koi or le gaya apne sath"

"Arman it's been two years now. Bhool ja sb"

"Forget it"

"I can't"

"Tujhe khana khana tha na, chal khate hain" said arman and he got up and they both went in caf and sat with muskan and atul.

"guys main soch rahi thi k humain yahan sath kaam karte huay do sal hogaye hain. Internship se le kar doctors ban gaye per ab tk humari zindagiyon main ek doosre k siva or koi bhi nahi. Ya phir shayad humain pata hi nahi" said muskan looking at arman.

"yes exactly yar. Na kabhi hum ne ek doosre se poocha k kiya hum main se kisi ki zindagi main koi or hai bhi kiya, ofcourse humari families k ilawa" said rahul.

"hey guys watsup??" dr. kirti came to them in caf.

"hi dr.kirti" they all greeted. Dr.kirti asked for a cup of coffee while everyone was having one after their lunch.

"so kiya baatain horahi hain??"

"nahi kuch nahi bas hum ek doosre se ye poochne lage thay k humari zindagi main sanjivani or humari families k logon k ilawa or kaun hai?" muskan replied to kirti.

"array or logon se yaad aya k humare sanjivani main ek nayi doctor arahi hai" dr. kirti told them.

"seriously?? Kaun hai??" atul asked.

"wo to nahi pata mujhe but neuro surgeon hai koi. Dr. Sidhaant (dean of sanjivani) ne kaha k surprise hai humare liye"

"Ooohh surprise! That means perhaps we know her" said muskan.

"Han shayad"

"Kb se join kar rahi hai??" arman asked.

"Monday se"

"Hmmm that means anjali k sath hi arahi hai" said atul and that made arman stiffen up a bit.

"Let's see ab baki sb to Monday ko hi pata chalega." Said kirti. They started talking about their plans after sanjivani while arman was lost in his thoughts. How he wished what he wanted could happen! But that was impossible and that wouldn't be of any use instead it would hurt him even more.

The whole week passed with everyone waiting anxiously for the new doctor. New doctor's ecxcitement wouldn't have been this much if only this wouldn't have been known that she was someone known.

It was Sunday night and arman was feeling weird as if something unexpected was going to happen. He didn't sleep well. He was jittery as well. It took him an entire hour to get ready for sanjivani in the morning. He just ate a piece of bread with a glass of milk for breakfast but how he wished someday he would get parathas to eat in breakfast but not today because he wanted to rush to sanjivani even though he was before his duty times.

As he reached sanjivani, he parked his car in the parking lot and stepped out of his car. He looked at all the cars and bikes.

"Atul ki bike, muskan ki car, dr. sidhant ki car, wo… wo to taxi hai, wo rahi dr.jay ki bike, wo… ok there's anjali's car but… no new car. Ok let's go" arman talked to himself and he threw his hand in his hair to move them away from his forehead and twirled the keys in his fingers and slipped them in his pockets and went inside.

"hi arman"

"hi muskan. Anjali agayi??"

"yup. Dr. Sidhant k pas gayi hai abhi ati hogi"

"or wo…" arman started expecting muskan to know what he wanted to say.

"or kiya??" muskan was blank.

"nahi kuch nahi" said arman confused.

"hey arman"

"hi atul. Anjali se mil liya??"

"kab ka per tu itni jaldi kiyun agaya?? Tu to duty se theek 5 minute pehle ata hai na or abhi to pura adha ghanta baki hai"

"nahi bas yunhi aj ankh jaldi khul gayi"

"hey arman" that was anjali. She had heard them talking and approached them.

"hi anjali. How are you??" said arman happily and he hugged anjali while she hugged back.

"kitni weak hogayi ho tum. Kiyun bhai America main khane ko nahi milta kuch bhi?" arman asked.

"nahi nahi wo baat nahi hai. Bas tum sb ko bohat miss kiya na isilye kamzor hogayi" said anjali. She had dark shadows under her eyes, she had lost her weight.

"chalo koi baat nahi hum sb hain na. tumhain burgers, pizzas or sandwiches khila khila k wapas normal kar dengay."said atul

"ofcourse I know isiliye to main wapas agayi" said anjali and the three of them started walking to their locker room slowly.

"by the way how was your trip?" arman asked

"trip?? Kaun sa trip??" anjali asked.

"array wah abhi ayi abhi bhul bhi gayi k kaunsa trip!"said arman

"acha wo! Han han bohat… bohat maza aya" said anjali without looking at arman.

"or tumhain pata hai k sanjivani main aj ek nayi doctor arahi hai" said arman.

"I know. Arahi nahi, agayi hai"

"kahan?"

"there she is" said atul pointing towards the locker room. Arman turned to look inside and saw a girl in long baby pink skirt and a dark pink coloured half sleeves top. She was wearing a stole wrapped around her neck. Her hair were tied in a ponytail. She was wearing ballerina slippers. She was turned towards her locker and was looking for something inside.

"ridhima!!" atul called her.
