CHAPTER 12

Part I

A secret Date.

Sunday morning 8.00 am

Everybody was seated at the breakfast table… Everybody except Sujal and Kashish..

Ashok-"So has any1 seen Kashish? Where is Sujal? I had meant to meet them yesterday, before they left, but I got stuck with a client.. Any1 has any idea how did everything go?"

Every1 shook their head..

Sam-"I saw them leaving… They looked ready to fight… I don't know when they came back.. I was awake but I didn't hear any door bell…"

Sid-"Oh! I met them when they came back.."

Sam-"What!?! You did? Why the hell didn't u tell me???"(he smacks Sid's head from behind)

A-"Boys.. Manners! U r married now"

Sam-"Sorry dad.. But I thought u don't Hide anything from ur Twin.."

Sid-"Take a chill pill wud ya? Actually I just met Sujal.. Kashish had already gone up to her room… And he was just leaving.."

Sam-"So u missed seeing Kashish's dress?!?.. Man I cudn't even recognize her.. But did Sujal say about the dinner?"

Sid- "Oh! Nothing much. First tell me about her dress!!"

A-"WHAT DRESS???"

Kaveri(serving breakfast to every1)- "Yah! ..I wanna hear too!!"

Everyone was discussing S and K's date last nite, when K shows up. She is in jeans and top, ready to go out..

K-"Gud morning everyone.."

Every1 started talking to her at once asking about her dress, her date.. and her slap(Sid had told them, he saw S holding his cheek)..

K gives a tight smile –"Well if Siddhart Bhaiya told u about the slap.. then he wud have also told u tht all went well.. We two see each other in a better opinion now.. I understand him better and he understands me.. So u don't have to worry anymore about us butchering each another on the dinning table…"

Ashok-"And what about the slap? Did u really do tht? I don't like the sound of tht.."

K-"It wasn't a slap.. As some ppl made it out to be (glaring at Sid)…. There was something on his cheek and I pointed it out to him…"

Sid raises his eyebrows but remains quite… well well I never realized my sis is such a clean, smooth little liar..

Sam-"And where didya get tht dress from? And what happened during the dinner.."

Kaveri-"What's the fuss over ur dress..?"

Ashok-"I hear it was too short and too revealing…."

K (taking a dep breath) I knew facing every one wasn't gonna b easy, but is worse than cross questioning in high court's ….-"it was just a dress. I brought it with my first paycheck… and then, I was going out with Sujal only. So what's the big deal?"

Sid-"Yup she is right it was only Sujal.. And then she is not a kid any more dad…Why, I didn't even recognize her when she came down the stairs! I thought v had a pretty lady guest staying over at our place…"

Wait a min. Sid bhaiya is takin my side??? Did he just call me a PRETTY LADY and told dad tht I am not a Kid? Wow!!! At least the date with tht scoundrel had something good come out of it… k thought-"So u do understand tht I am not a kid anymore? Awww thanks bhaiya.."

Sid-"Well of course! We all know ur 24. How can u b a kid anymore huh?"

Sam-"Yah.. It's just, the way u dress I guess…. U seem a bit tomboyish and immature.."

K's eyes flew wide open-"Me immature and tomboyish???!!!! Hah!!! I cant believe this! Have all of u forgotten, tht it were ur wishes and incorporation tht made me buy and wear such clothes?? U insisted I wear ur t- shirts and never waited for more than 7 min. for me to choose a top! How do u expect I cud have ever bought anything nice?"

Kaveri-"I know what ur saying Kashish.. Men of this house have no idea how o treat a women.."

Sam-"So what if don't like waiting 2hrs for ur highness to choose a handkerchief?… U shud b a independent women like Kashish… handeling her own affairs perfectly"

Wow independent women… My.. Is this my lucky day or what?-k smiled while thinking-"Well thanks for the compliment bhai.."

Ashok-"Ok enough of this talk. Tell me what happened at the dinner yesterday."

Sid, Sam, Kaveri-"yah!! Tell us!"

K-"Well…. Ummm… (What am I supposed to say… I fell for him and he doesn't feel a thing for me!)The dinner… it went.. nice."

Ashok –"That v figured.. Tell us what all happened"

K-"Umm.. aaaa.. Well we discussed a case and we-"

Suddenly K hears S's car arriving

K-"U know ppl I gotta hurry and Sujal is here. Why don't ya ask him? Byee!!"

Sam -"Wait! Where r u going, its sunday?"

K -"Beauty parlor. Tata" running out now

Sid -"But why today?"

K (Far away, so tht no1 can catch her now)-"What else? For my date tonite!!!"

With tht K runs out of the other entrance, so tht she won't have to confront S.

Ashok -"Another dinner? Did she call it a date?"

Every1 is staring off in the direction K had left.. Pretty shocked to hear tht she is going out on a date! Again! Tonite!

S-"Hey everybody! Why do u all look so shocked? Where is kashish?"

S said while getting inside the room and sitting on his usual chair.. Now everyone was gazing intently at him…

Ashok-"So..um Sujal hello.. Gudmornin. How was the dinner last night?"

S-"Well it was quite nice, actu-"

Sam-"Ok cut the crap!! How serious u r about my sister? Well no matter how serious u r. U can't date her!"

S- "What the hell is every1 talking about? (Did she tell every1 of the dance last nite, she is going to get me killed. Ashok uncle and Sam look quite formidable…)Umm.. Well.. I…. Where is kashish? Ask her!"

Ashok - "Well she went to the beauty parlor and told us tht u were going on dinner DATE tonite.. Now u better tell us what really is going on b/w u two.."

What!! Kashish, parlor mein? Ridiculous, impossible! Why then this news means tht she is not some heavenly creature, but a mere mortal like me….

S-"Well I find it hard to believe tht SHE went to a beauty parlor but let me clear one thing I am not going out with her and no I didn't ask her out for a date tonite"

Sam (Moving forward towards s)-"So r u sayin th kashish is lying to us? Or r u calling us, a liar?"

S (Moving back)…this is ridiculous… they are ready to skin me alive and I haven't even done anything! Ok even if I had.. They are so angry abt something which I haven't done!!! Man.. How am I ever gonna date her if every1 is going to b protective of her?

"O.K. stop all this!(S straightens up and returns a glare to Sam and looks straight into Ashok's eye) This is enough! If every1 wants to treat me like a criminal then I am going! Uncle how can u think tht I am lying? U r prosecuting me without even hearing me out!!!"

S moves forward and places a hand on Sam's shoulder.. and speaks in a very calm but firm voice.

S-"Last nite v just went for a dinner. V ate, v talked and v danced. At is all. Then I dropped her home. I did not ask her out again. If she is going out on a date tonite then it's not with me."

Ashok hearing every thing…. Realizes tht neither S nor K were lying he sits on a chair and looks a bit pale.. My Daughter..My little girl.. She's.. She's going out.. With a man.. On a date.. ON A DATE!!! And she didn't even take my permission… she can't go. She is too young!!

Sid-"Wait a min! Are u saying tht she is not going out with u tonite??!!"

S -"Yes."

Sid-"Well she can't go out with some.. with some.. guy…."

Sam-"Whom we know nothing about.."

Sid-"yah!.. And besides she is too young to date."

Oh and last nite wasn't a date???? S thought frowning…But if not me then who is she going out with?? I thought she enjoyed last nite…

Ashok-"Ok every1 settle down.. It's obvious, v don't know much abt what is going on in Kashish's life these days.. Sorry Sujal beta we pounced on u.. U know how v all feel abt kashish… Let her come back.. and then I'll just tell her tht she is not allowed to go out on dates.."

S-"It's ok uncle. I understand" Yah! Thts right tell her, she cant go out with any1 except me.

Kaveri-"Wait a min. All of u!! Papa aap bhi!!! Have u all forgotten? Kashish is not a kid anymore? Right now u all were saying it! Sam u said she is a grown woman and can well handle herself… U all can't go back on ur words now!!"

Sam-"I knw I did say tht. But..but…"

Kaveri-"No but's. If any1 stops kashish today let me warn u, next time, she is on a date none of u wont even knw about it.. Seriously.. She has been over protected through out her life and if u try and cage her now.. Welll…U know what a bird do's when it is let out of captivity after a long time"

Ashok-"Kaveri I understand what u r saying.. But is difficult for us to let go.."

Sid(Frowning looking defeated)-"And kashish is not a bird.."

Kaveri gives a meaningful glare to all and leaves….. Seems like kashish was going to go on her first official date tonight.. Only ques. was.. with whom…..

thanks for the pm and loved this update...even if its not sujal kashish conversin but still found it very enjoyable.....loved the line sujal said she cant go out wit any1 except me...wow...do continue more ya.....though u haven liked kth much where their romance made an impact in every1s heart make sure u make sk romance more than that in here..its my request....so kashish is goin for a date and every1 is concerned who it is and sujal too...nice cool update...keep continuin....

hey meggs fabulous update!! i mean there wasn't any scene between SK but still loved it bcoz basically the convo they had was about each other!!! i am intrigued 2 knw about the date!! wen i read the secret date, i thought SK were gonna go on sum kind of secret date agen😆 but i guess thats not teh case!!....well i hpe whoever she plans 2 go with it is just to get her own back on Sujal bcoz i wud hate 4 her 2 do that!!! but yes there's one benefit behind this and that Sujal is feeling jealous!! it is soo obvious through what he had said😆and like evry1 i loved it wen he sed she can only go with me!!!!....she is definetly gonna blow him 2night if he sees her....oh hw i hope he stops her and takes her and hpe he explains 2 her!!! lets see 4 how long this avoiding act goes!!....do update soon dear!! cnt wait 4 it!!!!...😳

CHAPTER 12

Part II

The secret Date.

K got back from the parlor in a worried frame of mind. She had no idea how her family was reacting to her dating and what all had S told them abt their dinner last nite.

But surprisingly nothing disastrous happened when she reached home.. Her brothers and sister in law were out for a movie and her dad had just given her a small lecture on the in time and being aware of lecherous men.

Soon k got ready for the date and went down; every1 was present, including Sujal to see her off for her 1^st official date…

Oh my… they've all got such weird expressions on their faces… Bhabhi looks so happy, as if I am going to receive an Award. Dad looks so emotional, as if I just got married and now I am leaving him for ever. While Sid and Sam bhaiya look like 2 frustrated bodyguards, who have been fired from their jobs…and Sujal.. Well.. I don't know what does tht look mean.. But I suspect he is bit angry… Huh! So what? I can't have my life revolving around him! If I don't see other guys then how am I suppose to get over him?

A-"Ah! So my girl is finally ready to go on her date.."

K rolls her eyes in exasperation..-"Dad! Please! I am not a little girl.. Why r u all behaving so strangely.. It's just a dinner date…"

Sam-"Well tell us who are u going out with and when is he dropping back home?"

K bit her lip.. This was the part she had been fearing the most.. How do tell them this…

K-"I… Don't worry bhai I'll be back arnd 10.30 and he is a very descent guy"

S-"Really..!(S drawled sarcastically) then why don't u tell us who he is?"

K (Giving him a icy stare)-"I am not hiding any thing.. He is a very intelligent, nice man and very handsome too! And his name is-"

Person-"Sorry I came in without knocking but the main door was open.. Does Kashish Sinha live here..? Wow! Kashish!!! U look spectacular!! Ravshing!! Umm shall we leave?"(looking arnd at every1 a bit nervously)

K gave a dazzling smile and rushed down the stairs and took hold of the persons arm and dragged him for introductions.

K-"Every1 this is Jake my colleague and Jake this is every1 ..Dad.. Siddhart bhaiya, Swayam bhaiya, Kaveri bhabhi and Mr. Grewal… he's a lawyer in my dad's firm.."

Jake shook every1's hands and then left with k in a hurry, before any1 can ask to many questions.

Every1 though tht Jake was a pretty nice, decent guy, good looking too. Maybe if they these 2 really liked each other, then they might encourage K to take their relationship to a new level. After all she was 24 now.. it was time to start looking for a groom for her..

While S was having serious doubts abt this Jake guy.. Something is wrong.. she just can't b going out with him!.. There is no spark, no chemistry b/w them.. I a sure I am not saying this coz I am jealous or somthing.. she can out with hundred men what do I care? … but.. Jake just dosent fit to b her type.. He is to..tooo compliant.. Uuurrgghhh! I am going out of my freakin mind!!! Soon I''ll need psychiatric help!!

And maybe Sujal was right, in all his deductions.. 'coz knowingly or unknowingly he was much deeply drawn to K than he had imagined him self to b.. K cudn't b dating a simple, humble guy like Jake.. He was too sweet for her..

As soon as K and J reached the restaurant k kissed jake on cheek and got out waiving goodbye to him..-"don't forget u have to drop me back home at 10.30 be back here in time.."

K saw Jake nodding and driving off. Then she felt strong arms of a man around her back.. K turned and smiled up the man.

Man- "Wow! U can made it!! I never thought ur family wud.. specially ur father wud let u come.. not with tht over-confident scoundrel lurking arnd close…"

K-"Yes I did. Now common lets go in and enjoy ourselves.. Anyways I gave u my word tht I'll Come and I never break my word Piyush. Never"
