As promised I am back to do my random babbling again…Ok so where was I, oh yes the latest part, but before that, I wanted to say a few words regarding the previous part, which means you have to bear more of my incoherent ramblings. I think the conversation between Rahul and Ridz was the highlight of that part, more so coz of the easiness that was shown amongst two friends and the banter and the smoothness with which the whole conversation flew. I like the way you added the reference to Gone with the wind in their conversation, comparison of Ashley with Armaan was a bit unfair. The least said about Ashley, the better…do not think much of his character, somehow he always manages to remind me of Devdas's character; neither of them have much of an appeal. Getting back from my mini trip of digressing, like I mentioned before their conversations always end up reminding me of my best mate. 'Absence does indeed make the heart grow fonder' but only if the other person feels the same way as you, or else it could end up backfiring. Which may I add I've see happening with a dear friend of mine. Well that's when you know that God has better plans for you…
Though Armaan and Ridz's coffee encounter has their charm about it, but I think there was something missing, may be the fact that it was more from a third person perspective rather than a conversation between the two like Rahul and Ridz. But nonetheless it added its own little charm; Ridz sharing her childhood stories, her pranks et al. The Maslow's question reminds me of a funny incident, after reading the part where Ridz and Muskaan gang up on Rahul, I decided to test the waters and try it on my friend…Oh god I felt so sorry for the poor soul. But he was glad, that I decided to not publically humiliate him…lol. There are times when sometimes, you decide to do things on an impulse and you fail to realise as to why you did that, but in the end you are glad that you took the step. Even though Armaan feels guilty, but it's good to be selfish time and again, and that is why I like this FF because none of your characters are perfect.
Ankit, Ankit….there is something about this guy…I liked him more than usual in this part…see yet again he is not a bad friend, but there is a tad bit of jealousy for Armaan from his part, which he is not at fault. Anyone would feel that way in his place, and especially amongst friends it tends to happen unknowingly. Though I still haven't been able to figure out the reason for not being sure of him…
Now coming to the latest part, Ridz tip has already started showing its effects. I like the little girly conversation between Ridz and Muskaan. It's quite funny, how much of similarity I can draw with Muskaan's character and her personality. Rahul's part was good, very senti at point, but like people say falling in love always tends to bring out the senti side. I absolutely love Atul, more so than any other character, even Muskaan…his character somehow in the weirdest way reminds me of Hermione…the helping hand in Ginny and Harry's relationship. I don't know how much you'll agree with me on that front. He is the most perceptive out the lot, and hence I see him acting as a catalyst in the reaction ready to happen.
"You're sure he needs to return them?" Atul asked with a curious look, "maybe................just maybe that could be their final destination.......where they're meant to be........
He is a cheeky little bugger isn't he??? Pulling poor Ridz's leg…lol... Ridz reaction mirrors mine…my books are on strictly returnable basis only…I am going to make sure I get a copy of Scarlet, a one for keeping…coz my friend has warned me that his copy is not for keeping…as I never seem to return any of his books. A bit hypocritical I know…lol. So what is Armaan's sea urchin planning for her prisoner??
My absolute favourite part has to be the conversation between Armaan and Atul, by far Atul is my utter favourite now, and one of the other reasons is that he reminds me a lot of a very dear friend. Sometimes you missed the obvious, and that is what Armaan seems to doing about him and Ridz, and we all have done that somewhere down the line…The grey shade of his character is that…he's not taking the other person in to consideration; he seems to have forgotten that there are always two sides to a coin. I am more worried about Anjali and her reaction in this predicament, rather than Armaan or even Ridz.
Yet again you were amazing, a bear hug from my side for not just this part but the entire FF. Lastly I am not sure if my comment makes much sense, as I've written this in between packing… as I am off for a weekend away with friends. So if you update then do PM me if you can…no pressure, even if you can't I'll still keep a check on it.
