Imp note : I had made a mistake. Some of you might have noticed that in the first part I have written that Ridhima used to stay in a women's hostel. I am changing it. Both Ridhima and Muskaan live in Ridhima's father's house (the one which is on the name of Ridhima now.)

There is also one more change in the first part. Armaan, Rahul go to sanjeevani in search of Ridhima and Dr.Keerti gives them the letter. Armaan, Rahul find out Padma's address from a nurse (not Ridhima's friend.)

I am very sorry for my mistake. I actually changed the story from the way I have planned previously. So I had to change this small bit. I hope you understand

Flash Back :

Padma is narrating the story how she met Ridhima's mother.

Mai ek nurse thi. Father Thomas ek bahut ache insaan the. Wo St.Weasly's church ke Father the. Usne anath bachokeliye ek orphanage construct kiya. Mai voluntarily us orphanage mai kaam karti thi. Church ko jobhi grants milte the usse hum orphanage ke bacho ka khana, pina aur studies ka arrangements karte the. Ekdin jub mai orphanage jarahi thi mujhe smriti – Ridhima ki ma behoshi ki halat mai mili thi. Maine use bhi orphanage leaaya. Mere puchne parbhi usne Ridhima ke papa ke bare mai kuch nahi batayi. (After Ridhima was born smriti started living in the orphanage itself. She used to help padma and father Thomas in all the works of the orphanage. )

Phir ek din maine padma ko ek photo se baat karte hue suna aur usse pucha ki wo kiski photo hi. Wo Ridhima ke papa ka photo tha. Smriti ne mujhse kaha ki Ridhima ke papa ne smriti se shadi kiya, par jab usse ye pata chala ki smriti pregnant thi to usne smriti ko chodkar chaligaye.

Ridhima 3 saal ki thi, tab ek din smriti kahi jarahi thi aur usne Ridhima ke papa ko ek gadi me dekha. Usne uski naam pukarte hue us gadi ki pecha ki thi. Lekin usne smriti ke aavaz ko nahi sune. Phir achanak se ek gadi aayi aur smriti ka accident hogaya. (Padma had tears in her eyes saying this.) Sab kuch Ridhima ke papa ke vajah se hua tha. Hum smriti ko hospital leke gaye the lekin use bacha nahi sake. Hospital bed pe smriti ne mujhse wada liya tha ki mai Ridhima ko uski parents ke bare mai kabhi kuch nahi batavungi. Isiliye maine Ridhima ko kuch nahi bataya aur Ridhima orphanage ke saare bacho ke tarah ek orphan ki life lead kiya.

Armaan thinks : par Ridhima ne mujhe bataya ki jis ghar me vo reh rahi thi wo uski papa ka ghar hi. Agar Ridhima ko apne papa ke bare me kuch nahi pata, to wo apni papa ke ghar me kise rehsakti hi? Mai badme padma mom se puchunga.

Padma : Par Ridhima baki bacho se bilkul alag thi. Wo baki bacho ki tarah kabhi apne ma ya papa keliye zid nahi karti thi. Uske saath jo kuch bhi tha, wo sab ke saath share karti thi. Wo hamesha sabko kush dekhna chati thi. Orphamage me muskaan naam ke ladki thi. Muskaan aur Ridhima best friends hi. Wo dono ek dusare ko bahut pyaar karte hi aur wo ek doosere ko ache tarah se jante hi. Ridhima aur muskaan sisters ki tarah rehte the. Un dono ka soch bhi similar hi. Ridhima aur muskaan ko hamesha se ye icha tha ki wo bade hoke doctors bane aur gareb logo ka madat kare.

Armaan (thinks) : this means Ridhima wanted to become a doctor and serve poor people from her childhood. That's why she got mad at me when I asked her if she would leave all this for me. Shit. I should have known this. I thought she just likes her profession but I never thought it was ambition she had from her childhood. I was so stupid to say all that to her. I should have been more patient with her. But it is her fault also. She never told me all this.

Padma : Ridhima hamesha independent rehna chati hi. wo kabhi kisi ka ehsaan nahi lena chati thi. Jab wo padhayi karti thi, tab wo padhayi ke sath sath part time jobs bhi karti thi. Ridhima ne apni poori padhayi apni scholarship aur apni khud ki kamaye hue pise (money) se complete ki thi.

Ridhima ki jise log is duniya me bahut kam milte hi. wo hamesha uske khushi kea age dusero ki khushi rakhti hi. Wo khud sare gam leleti hi par apne aas paas ke logo pe dukh ki saya bhi nahi padne deti. Father Thomas ko Ridhima aur uski soch bahut pasand the. Wo chahte the ki uske baad Ridhima uski orphanage ko sambhale. Ridhima aur muskaan ne khushi khushi is responsibility ko accept kiye. Infact wo to bahut khush the ki father Thomas ne use ye zimmedari lene ki layak samjha.

Armaan : ma, mujhe aap se kuch puchna hi. Ridhima ne mujhe bataya ki jis ghar me vo aur muskaan reh rahe the wo uski papa ka ghar hi. Agar Ridhima ko apne papa ke bare me kuch nahi pata, to wo apni papa ke ghar me kise rehsakti hi?

Padma : Ridhima ne sach kaha. Wo Ridhima ka papa ka hi ghar hi. Ridhima ke papa ka akri khwayish thi ki Ridhima uski marne ke baad us ghar me rahe. (It was ridhima's fathers last wish that Ridhima should stay in their house after his death.) Isiliye Ridhima aur muskaan us ghar me reh rahe hi.

Armaan : Ridhima ke papa koun hi? Aur wo aap ko kise mile?

Padma : Ridhima ke papa ka naam shashank gupta hi. Mene bataya tha na, ki mai ek nurse thi. Ridhima ke papa ko kuch bhimari tha aur wo us hospital me admit hue the jis hospital me mai nurse thi. (plz don't aks me what illness did shashank have. Firstly it is not important in the story and secondly I am very poor in the knowledge about diseases. So just understand that shashank has some very serious illness.) Aur doctor ne mujhe shashank ki nurse ki tarah appoint kiya. Mai shashank se nafrat karti thi kyonki mujhe lagta tha ki smriti usi ke wajah se margaye. Isiliye mai shashank se bahut rudely behave karti thi. Shashank ko kuch samaj me nahi aate the ki mai uske saath aisa kyu behave karti thi. Ek din wo mujhse pucha ki mai uske saath aise ajeeb tarah se kyu behave karta tha. Maine usse ye kaha tha ki kum se kum me uski tarah kisi ki jaan to nahi liya. Use kuch samjh me nahi aaya aur wo mujhse puche ke wo kiska jaan liye the aur mai uske bare mai kya janti hoon. Maine usse kaha ki mai ye jaanti hoon ki wo kitna dhokebaaz insaan hi aur wo smriti ki haryare hi(he is the murderer of smriti.) shashank was shocked hearing the name of smriti.

Shashank ne mujhse ye pucha ki mai smriti ke bare mai kise jaanta hoon aur maine use sabkuch bataya tha. Jab Shashank ko ye pata chala ki smriti uski vajah se margaye, wo bahut roye the. Usne ne mujhse kaha ki use smriti ko choodne ka bahut afsso hi. Usne kaha ke jab use smriti ke pregnancy ke bare me pata chala tub wo dar gaye the kyonki wo smriti se chupke shadi kiye the. Wo koi bhi responsibility lene keliye tayar nahi the aur isiliye bhag gaye. Usne mujhse kaha ki use baad mai ehsaas hua ki usne smriti ke saath kitna galat kiya aur usne smriti ko dhoondne ki bahut kosish kiye the. Lekin use smriti kahi bhi nahi mili. Usne kaha ki wo sirf aur sirf smriti se pyaar karte hi, aur isiliye smriti ke na milne par bhi abi tak wo kisi aur se shadi nahi kiye the. Wo mujhe beg kiye the ki wo kum se kum ek baar apne beti se milna chate the. Pehle to mai ne saaf inkaar kiya. Par Mujhe unki aasuo(tears) mai sachaye dikhayi di. Wo to sirf sabko pyaar karna janti hi. Wo to nafrat karna jaanti hi nahi. Uswakt Ridhima sirf 18 saal ka thi lekin usne wo kaam kiye jo bade buzurgo (old people) bhi nahi karsakte. Ridhima ne us insaan ko maaf kardiye jiski vajah se use 18 saal orphan ki tarah jena pada aur jiski vajah se uski maa is duniya ko chood kar chaligaye.

Ridhima ke papa shashank bahut bade business man the. Usne apni saari property Ridhima ke naam kar diye the par Ridhima ne us property ko lene se saaf inkaar kardi. Shashank ko Ridhima ko suggest kiya ki wo is property ko uski orphanage ke liye use kare. Pehle Ridhima us property lene se reluctant thi lekin maine aur father Thomas ne use samjhaye ki use shashank ke property leni chahiye. Shashank ke health thik nahi thi. Par Ridhima shashank ka itne ache dekhbal kit hi ki shashank 2 saal tak zinda rahe. Phir achanak ek din shashank ke halat bahut serious hogaye hi aur wo is duniya ko chodkar chalegaye. Marne se pehle wo Ridhima ko uski ghar me rehne keliye request kiya aur isiliye Ridhima muskaan ke saath us ghar me reh rahi hi.

Ridhima ne shashank ke property se ek rupaya bhi apne liye kharch nahi ki thi. Usne us property se hospitals, orphanages aur old age homes construct ki thi. Ridhima ne shashank ke naam pe ek charity trust open ki thi. Wo sari property jo shashank ne Ridhima ko diye the, wo sab usne us charity trust ke naam transfer kardi. Aur uske pise(money) se sare social activities karti hi. Apni padhayi complete kane ke baad Ridhima aur muskaan dono Ridhima ki hospital (Sanjeevani) me doctors ki tarah practice karne lage. Ridhima kabhi us hospital ke staff ko ye ehsaas nahi dilati hi ki wo us hospital ki owner hi. wo sab ke saath ek mamuli doctor ki tarah hi behave karti hi.

Armaan : iska matlab jis hospital mai Ridhima kaam karti hi wo Ridhima ki hi hospital hi?? Ridhima ne kabhi ye baat mujhe nahi batayi??

Padma : Ridhima apna papa se kuch bhi nahi lena chati. Apne sir name bhi nahi. Isiliye wo apna naam ke piche gupta nahi joda. Shayad isiliye wo tumhe iski bare me nahi batayi.

Armaan (thinks) : mai kitna stupid tha. Mai bahut baar Ridhima se ye kaha ki agar wo mujhse shadi karegi to mai uskeliye sanjeevani jise hospital construct karke gift doonga taki use kisi ki under kaam karne ki zarurat nahi hoti. Tab wo sirf smile karti thi. Even then she didn't tell me that sanjeevani was her own hospital. Muskaan ne bhi mujhe nahi batayi.

Armaan (asks padma) : ma, Ridhima aapse akhri baar kab mili ya phir baat ki thi?

Padma : kuch din pehle Ridhima mujhe milne aaye. Shayad kuch 10 din pehle.

Armaan (thinks): iska matlab us din accident ke baad Ridhima padma se milne aaye hi. Shayad padma mom ko pata ho ki Ridhima kaha hi.

Armaan : ma, us wakt Ridhima kise thi? I mean kya wo kuch upset lagrahi thi? Kya Ridhima ne us wakt aap se kuch kaha?

Padma : Ridhima mujhse milne frequently aati hi. Ha us din Ridhima upset thi. Lekin Jab bhi Ridhima ko koi problem hogi jo wo khud nahi solve karsakti tab wo mujhse milke meri advice leti hi. Isiliye jab usdin wo mujhse milne aaye mujhe kuch ajeeb nahi laga. Mujhe laga hi ki Ridhima ko problem thi jiske liye wo mujhse milne aaye. Maine zayada dhayan nahi di thi.

Armaan : ma, Kya Ridhima ne us din aap se mere bare me kuch kaha? Usne aap se kya pucha tha? Kya usne kuch kaha jise wo kaha jarahi thi ya phir kab aayegi?

Padma : nahi Ridhima ne tumhare bare me kuch nahi kaha. Ridhima mujhse ye kaha ki wo kuch din ke liye Mumbai chodkar jarahi thi. Maine use nahi pucha ki wo kyu jarahi hi ya kaha ja rahi hi.

Armaan (angry) : aap ne kyu nahi pucha?

Padma : beta, Ridhima ek doctor hi. Wo frequently shahar se bahar jati rehti hi. Isiliye maine use nahi pucha. Aur phir mujhe thodi na pata ki tumdono ke beach me kya hua.

Armaan felt bad that he spoke rudely with padma.

Armaan : sorry ma. Mujhe aap se istarah unchi aawas (loud voice) me baat nahi kara chahiye.

Padma : koi baat nahi beta, mujhe pata hi tumhe Ridhima ke bare me fikar horaha hi. Isiliye tumne eise baat kiya.

Armaan : ab mai kya karu ma. Ab Ridhima kaha hogi? Padma thinks for some time.

Padma : Armaan beta, tum zayada tension mat lo. Mai Ridhima ke bare me pata lagane keliye poori kosish karungi. Aur mujhe yakeen hi tum jaldi hi Ridhima ko miloge.

Padma : ab tum mujhe kaho ki us din tum dono ke beach me eisa hua kya hi jiski vajah se Ridhima tumhe choodkar chaligaye?? (What happened in between both of you that day?)
