I agree with Sakshi. II had better singers but FG was more glam to watch... so there are some give and takes. They both were total entertainment and kept all the audiences on their toes. In FG I particularly liked Arijit and Mona's singing but unfortunately they were voted out. One setback (for the film industry I guess) of FG was since it was a reality show, people got to know about the contestent's thinking and if they thought someone was greedy or pretentious they never voted for them. That is why we have now ended up with mediocre singers but with a good heart. :) In II I guess that was not the case (it never aired in the US so I don't know how they projected these contestents). I think II has more potential to give the film industry good singers. FG will end up giving the audiences good performers. No sweat! We enjoy both! 😛

BTW, Does anyone know when they start showing Indian Idol on TV, or has it already begun in India?

In US they are showing last years show right now. It comes for 1.5 hours every day. Right now 9 participants have been selected, but Amit Sana hasn't been yet. I guess he comes in with the next two votes.

I wish they had aired it last year while it was being aired in India. I never understand why Sony doesn't air things at the same time. Even Fame Gurukul is one week behind here.

indina idol will b starting on 14th nov....

amit sana wasn't in top 9.. 7 contstants were given second chance, frm which amit sana n aditi paul was selected.. priyanka venkatesh was among top 9, but she quitted the show coz of her boards, so amit tandon was later call on her place.

thts how amit tandon, amit sana n aditi paul was among top 11 contetsants in indian idol.

i won't say FG is more glam.. but its more like a serial or a movie.. where u got to listen more dialogues than singing.

II was no less than any glam.. they were also introduced to top designers, they went to palour, movies.. these ppl also njoy like FG contentants...

if u watch II, then u will also say tht II is better than FG. ....😊

If you consider singing only then II and FG is nothing in compare to Sa Re Ga Ma Pa. SRGMP had already given so many top class singer. II and FG winner just depends on FAN they cannot sing in movie. I do not know if any of top 3 II contestant sang any song in movie which has nice songs.

Dekhna Qazi ka cd abhijeet se zayda bikega even that we know Abhijeet is better singer than Qazi. Per yaar yeh public hai, democracy hai.

. i do agree tht sa re ga ma are way way above than II also...

but ii also gave good singers in flm industry... rahul vaidya, prajakta, rahul saxena, abhijeet, amit.. are already singing in movies as a play back singers.. but i doubt if FG contestants can make a mark like II did.

and arpita is one of those sa re ga ma contetsant who won the golden voice talen hunt.

and also rahul saxena was also one of those sa re ga ma.. who too won the golden voice talent hunt contest.

so it clearly says, there is no place for good singers in FG......

hope for the best.... !! still many have to go a long way....

audio cd ka toh pata nahi par haan.. video cd zarror bikega..
