Hmmm...but SONY has already earned whatever it has to. Qazi has given them a lotttttt of money. Indian Idol is much more popular and better. Fame Gurukul was popular with younger generation. Most of the older generation thinks that it is drama-baazi. While they love watching Idol. So Sony might concentrate on Idol more. Give 1 crore to the jodis and say byeee.

Like any other corporate, Sony does not know what is enough. They would like cash on the jodi and earn more. Moreover they have FG part 2 coming up later, maybe after Indian Idol - so they will keep the tempo going. Its all a matter of TRPs and revenue.

FG 2!!! Hmmmm....that might be a flop show. By now everyone has realised that FG has got nothing to do with proper singing. They select people based on singing talent but once inside the gurukul, singing-vinging saab less ho jata hai. Most of the people are bored & lost interest with what's happening and are waiting for the show to end.

If people were bored they wouldn't be gunning for Qazi, Rex or Ruprekha in this forum. I think people enjoy it when they see someone being humiliated on the show by the judges, participants or faculty. Moreover, it is their involvement that is keeping this show going. Look at the enormous amounts of votes being polled.

I do think we all are addicted to this. I also do believe that if aries-sakshi starts a new thread about Indian Idol - we will all be following her thread closely again!!!!! 😊

I think the chance of crap influences like Abhijeet's smile.. etc. was much more in Indian idol because people knowing musics had no chance to influence the decision.. Here at least judges and faculty are powerful and which proves that atleast the person going to the danger zone is going so for some musical reasons..

So, I do not understand why Indian Idol was way above.. it was purely based on Janta's whim and a colgate smile was good enough for you to win.. in FG atleast you have to sing well and perform well and you are being coninuously worked upon by music experts!!

Hmmm...but don't you think that the quality of singers in Indian Idol was better than those in FG?

Som-ban I really like Abhijeet Sawant's voice and do believe that his voice had alot to do with him winning - that he has that nice smile didn't harm though!!! 😊
