Personally, I don't have anything against Shamit. But the way the Sony TV is showing him makes most people NOT like him. I must agree, that after Kirti (who got voted out 😡 ) he does have the best voice. But he does seem very chaalu!!! 😆 Pooor guy is getting way too much heat from the audience and the judges! But still, what him and Arjit said about Qazi was not right. I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that a lot of these contestants have come from smaller places and are not really sure of what to say and what not to say and Sony TV plays on their immaturity of how to deal with the camera. He does have a very "bhaiya" kind of appeal, but if I had to choose, I'd choose Qazi. I am not that great of a fan of Shamit. HE does get on my nerves. But all in all, I'm sure all of the contestants are nice people in real life.

agree with you..somehow have the feeling that shammit is not fair as he is shown and seen...the big point is he lways ping QAZI..who is quite good in all ways...so that makes everyone dislikes shammit...

the fact even roophrekha first was full of attitude..no one liked her..and now everyone likes her..and in contrary she aupports QAZI a lot..which indirectly says..she supports good nature..so she is liked by everyone..

i don't agree with anyone who is against shamit... if a person tries to help others, supports, coz he is the eldest, he is got the leadership quality.. which i think none of the other contestants possesses... Shamit is a gr8 guy and a very good singer.

Shamit is okay. Someone has to be the leader, and since he's one of the older contestants, it makes sense for people to look up to him and respect him. He's lost both his father and brother so I think he is determined to make his dreams come true. I think he was honest when he said he wants to win the janta vote for his mother. I don't think he was emotionally blackmailing the viewers. As for his looks, well, its a singing competition. I think he has an attractive and interesting personality and a pretty hot voice. 😛

agreed! true.... shamit is the best out of the lot!

he is honest, thts y, he is slaughtered in front of public.

i think judges have got no right to speak like this to any contestant in front of camera.. when thousands of people are watching them.

if they do have any personal grudges, then they should keep it to themselve. shamit have seen very hard life. he lost his father and brother. then also, he taking life with open arms.. and smiling face.. if then also he is taunted with all those words by judges and gave names like clever, politician etc.. do u ppl think.. is it fair enough on his part. he wants to be someting in life for his mother, for his grand dad.. all hopes are on him of his family.. the way shamit is being publicize, its not at all fair.

I don't think that his past life should be taken into account when considering his behavior in Gurukul. What he said was wrong and is wrong and will be wrong. Doesn't matter if he's from the slums or the richest of families. I DEFINATELY AGREE that he is probably not as bad as a person as the media shows him and they are making way tooooo much out of the whole Kirti ordeal. But then again, he does act like a "know it all" and should not be criticizing others based upon their personality or any such characteristics. PLUS, he is not the only one taunted by the judges, Gurpreet was taunted as well. And so was Qazi. Rex was said to be over confident. Everyone seems to be taunted. So, I don't agree with you there, everyone seems to be going through similar situations. BUT, SHAMIT REALLLY gets on my nerves. He is definatley over confident and like KK said "confidence aur over confidence mein sirf OVER ka fark hai..." I think this might get him into trouble later... 😈

But the thing is that Shamit is not the only one judging other contestants based on looks or personality. Almost everyone else. Arpita is called beautiful, Arijit thinks Qazi's face structure is messed up, almost all the students think Qazi has a great personality but isn't a good singer. I think the media and show is portraying Shamit in a bad light on purpose. Arpita also comes across as a know-it-all but no one seems to question her that much.

As for personal lives, I am not saying Shamit should win because of what happened in his past life. Pity shouldn't be the reason someone wins this contest. But it gives Shamit and many other contestants a reason to give everything they can to win the contest. A lot is at stake and I think past struggles make the contest even more important. I agree that Gurpreet, Qazi and Shamit are taunted the most by the judges and it usually has nothing to do with their singing or performance.

Shamit is over-confident. But I think that's just how he is. That's his personality and we can't really change that. Plus, FG is showing more of his candid comments during the show. Shamit is getting the most footage by far (along with Qazi) and he is being hyped, for better or worse.

Oh yeah! I competely agree with you. For some reason, SONY TV seems to be isolating Shamit on this matter. But as I ahve said in other posts, Arjit and everyone (except for Rooprekha) said something rude about Qazi , based on something other than his singing ability. And yep, its true! Shamit and Qazi seem to be getting the most footage. And to some extent, I'm sure people talk to Qazi and all that, but in the footage that we see, Qazi is usually by himself. That makes the other contestants look worse. But if that truly is the case that Qazi is mostly by himself, I think the faculty needs to look into that! GO QAZI!!
